I'm a local guy, and I genuinely want to support local and family-owned businesses. I'm also not someone who runs to social media to put a place on blast after one bad experience. We know this restaurant has changed hands again, and unfortunately, the quality seems to have declined. After a couple of disappointing visits, we decided to give it one more shot. We ordered the special with pizza, wings, and mozzarella sticks. Sadly, it missed across the board. The pizza tasted like frozen pizza--and not even the frozen pizza you secretly enjoy at midnight. The wings were bland and swimming in sauce, and the mozzarella sticks appeared to be straight from the freezer, possibly air-fried. Nothing tasted fresh or worth finishing, and most of the meal ended up in the trash. We didn't complain that night because the staff seemed young, and we weren't interested in making anyone's shift miserable. This review isn't about attacking the employees or piling on a small business. It's really about how disappointing it is to see a local restaurant struggle in a town where we want--and need--independent businesses to succeed. With two other pizza places in town, the food has to improve for this place to compete. I sincerely hope the owners take the recent feedback to heart and turn things around. Small-town restaurants matter, and it would be a shame to lose another one. For now, though, we won't be returning. read more

Tried them again since they had a new grand re-opening. Got a large pepperoni and it tasted old and looked like it had been sitting in a box under a heat lamp for over a hour. I glanced at the salad bar while waiting to pay several empty containers and wilted lettuce. I don't understand how this location can't get their stuff together. I've debated whether or not I was going to leave feedback but after today's experience, it's worth sharing with my community. First experience: When the new owners took over we had a booklet of coupons to use and they wouldn't honor them because it was accepted by "previous management". Ok, we stopped going to this location but I'm home with an injury, can't drive and my kids wanted Mountain Mikes so I thought I would order. The online portal wasn't accepting the online coupon and I called in to order and asked if they would honor the same amount and they agreed. I asked again if the coupon was applied in the same amount before providing my credit card and they confirmed. Experience 2: I got my order and the coupon was not applied in the same amount and I'm not talking about a couple of dollars. My wife and I frequent MM on at least a once a week basis but at the Mountain Mikes in Modesto on Pelandale. We always have a great experience there so we decided to eat here in Ripon since we were in town. What could go wrong right? Same place should equal same experience we thought. Holy sh*t what a difference management can make. We walk in for the lunch buffet around noon and no pizza was out. Huh? We asked if it's possible to try the Memphis Hot on one half of a pizza and was told they don't make that for the buffet. Ok so we requested our usual Everest to start. We were given plates that still had grease on them from previous use that I had to wipe down before getting my salad to start. (I know, should have asked for new ones but I'm a pretty easy going guy so I didn't make a big deal out of it) The salad bar? Forget about it. Don't even bother. Definitely not the usual set up that I'm used to. I mean they had little dip containers for the dressing instead of full bins! Wtf!? Ok so we go to fill our drinks and what? No ice? "Oh I have to turn it on" he said. (Face palm) Then when filling my cup the root beer was more white carbonation than syrup! And was spitting everywhere all over my hand. After eating only two slices of our requested Everest (because more people came in and it is a buffet after all) the remaining 2 pizza's got eaten along with our Everest. So we asked if more was coming out. The time was only a little after 1pm mind you, and we were told "that's it", it's done, I'm not making anymore pizza."Really? So after voicing our concerns going back and forth a few times reminding him that we paid for an all you can eat buffet, not an all you can make one, he finally agreed to make another Everest in hopes of satisfying our complaint. Well you know it would have and this review may have been avoided if the dang thing wasn't burnt to a literal crisp... Ordered my usual pepperoni pizza and Tucson Garlic pizza with extra sauce over the phone for pickup. When we picked it up, the Tuscan garlic was missing the sun dried tomatoes. They substituted regular tomatoes because they stated they were out of sun dried tomatoes. We accepted the pizza, but felt they should have told us when we placed our order. The sun dried tomatoes make the Tuscan garlic in my opinion. When we got home, we noticed both pizzas were light on sauce and the Tucson garlic was missing the green onions and the Louisiana hot sausage. They did put Italian sausage instead, but this is another substitution we were not told about. What has happened to this location? The employee sky was rude, but the manager offered to remake the pizzas and have them delivered. Our hopes are not set high, because we assume they will be just as bad. *Replacement pizzas arrived 93 minutes after my phone call with the manager made correctly with the tomato substitute and extra sauce. We held our back-to-school social gathering at Mountain Mike's on August 2, 2024, and had an excellent experience thanks to Kiara and the rest of the staff. The pizza was delivered promptly to our private room, and Kiara and her team made sure we had plenty of plates, peppers, cheese, and cold glasses for our drinks. I ordered 2 pizzas at 6 pm on Saturdays 4-20 on there app wanted to have it delivered but was unavailable. So I ordered a pick up my pizza for take out my order was promised to be ready by 7:30. Arrived to pick up order around 7:40 to find a line all the way back to the arcade. Finally got up to the counter at 8pm to say I'm here to pick up and was told to wait another 5 mins. 10 minutes goes by finally my order comes out I take my 2 boxes wanting asked the guy for ranch and red sauce. And he just keeps walking to the back. Said Fuck this and went home to find my large pizza was half cooked on one side and burnt on the other. I LOVE mountain mikes pizza. But this location in particular acts as if the ingredients they put on the pizza come out of their personal paycheck. This is not the 1st time I've gotten home to see my pizza has hardly any toppings, several pieces missing toppings all together. If I'm paying $35 for an all meat pizza, I expect an all meat pizza. Not 2-3 pieces with meat, 3-4 pieces with just cheese, and the rest having 2-3 pieces of pepperoni and literally nothing else. I've always preferred mountain mikes to any other pizza chain but will switch to round table here in town from now on. read more
