Updating my review because of the excellent customer service provided by Raj. He saw my previous review and messaged me. He apologized and offered to comp my next order and he promised the food would arrive hot. We ordered the same exact thing and everything came on time and hot. Had a little trouble with the deliver guy again though. He kept calling and asking where he should park. I feel like the delivery guys should be trained better other than that the food was good. I had really high hopes for this place, but sadly they didn't deliver. We ordered the bbq wings and a well done Tuscan pizza. The delivery ran about 30 minutes over the quoted time, our pizza was not well done (shit, it was barely even warm) and the wings were practically dry. Today I held my daughter's first birthday party here. The manager, Raj, and his team (mom and Brian) were very helpful in helping me. I am clueless when it comes to organizing parties. I had over 50 guests and didn't know how much pizza to order. The helped me in figuring out what to do. My contact with Raj from the beginning was great, from the time I called to reserve the date to the end when I closed my tab. The place was very clean. I do not understand the big deal about this place. Was introduced to this pizza at a dinner gathering. First, pizza is not food and was not at all impressed with dinner menu. My first slice, I asked where it was from? In my mind I said, "definitely a place to forget. If there is a time when our household decides on pizza, there are ONLY TWO PLACES. The five stars is for the best and most unexpectedly wonderful service I've ever received at a pizza parlor. Despite this being a fast casual place where you order and pay at the counter, the manager was walking around the restaurant checking on all of his patrons and all of the staff were genuinely nice. For people who like super thick, bready crust, very bland sauce, no pesto option, and a total lack of garlic on their "pizza", this is the place for you. We had been ordering from Pizza Nation because we really like their pizza, but they'e raised their prices several times over the last few months, now charge a delivery fee and the driver still wants a tip, and last time they made the order wrong, called us to ask if that was okay and when I said no we wanted it as we'd ordered it, they took another 1 1/2 hours to deliver, and it came burned. So we're trying to find a new regular pizza place. Mountain Mike's is NOT it. Thick, bready, greasy pizza with no hint of garlic, an order of "garlic sticks with cheese" (which turned out to be a plain cheese pizza with a super bready thick crust and ZERO garlic anywhere on it, cut into strips) plus a $2 delivery fee which is NOT mentioned on the menu...no thanks. Service was friendly but pizza was not worth it. Like a glorified Pizza Hut basically. *I've added a second star because again, the service was friendly, they did deliver in the time frame that they promised, and there must be some people who actually like that kind of pizza. I ordered from Mountain MIke's for the first time last night. The pizza was good, but not great, which is where I stumble with my description. I had a pizza with white sauce which was a nice alternative to the traditional tomato based sauce which tends to wreak havoc with my GERD. I think the problem came with what I think was Genoa salami or something like that was part of the all meat pizza. I found it to be very distasteful, but not like it was spoiled, but just one that did not sit well with me. The customer service was refreshing compared to most pizza joints, but the driver was a bit lazy because he did not want to be buzzed into my building which meant throwing on shoes and such to go downstairs for him. That I found to be a bit irritating since I provided the key code for him to dial so I could buzz him in. Long story short - not bad pizza, but for the price stick to Zachary's or Lanesplitter for a better pizza. read more

First time I ever ordered from here. I placed the order with my address and even added the special instructions of exactly where I lived. They called me to say they where here. I go outside in the rain no less. Instead of him being at my address in oakland he was in Berkeley. Really not even in the same zip code people. Then my sandwich looked like it had been thrown all over the back seat. And the garlic On the pizza was piled high all over the pizza to make it undesirable. I randomly went to this nondescript place in a strip mall on San Pablo Ave. because I was running an errand somewhere nearby. I had no expectations of goodness... rather, probable expectations of disappointment. However I was happily surprised at what a great experience I had! First of all, you can't tell from the outside, but the place is big. Lots of tables and plenty of choices for sitting. It was perfectly clean enough, and the decor was just fine, including 2 or 3 large screen tvs, playing different sports channels. I went to the counter to place my order, and the woman was very nice and patient as I took my time reading their menu for the first time. When the pizza arrived at my table, it was surprisingly large for the "mini" that I had ordered... I could not finish it. The crust was delicious... somewhat crispy, but not too thin. The toppings were fresh and generous. It was definitely one of the best pizzas I'd had in a long time! I highly recommend this place, and am so happy to have stumbled randomly here. read more

Not only did they get the topping wrong but the elderly lady at the cashier told me that the tip was not enough as I have saved far more with my coupon..In hindsight, I should have completely removed the tip.
