kind of empty on a sunday night, but we came around 8:30 so i assumed the dinner rush was over. good amount of seating and even tables for large groups! only one server working on the floor. she seemed new so i gave her the benefit of the doubt bc as a server myself i understand lolol AYCE is $38/pp. the tom yum soup has real tom yum flavor and they really got it down! the miso was good but eventually it gets pretty salty, next time id prob only get the tom yum. meat quality is pretty good (not bad/not spectacular) - we got the chuckeye, brisket, and beef belly. they have good options of veggies, i was really happy to see shemeji and woodear mushrooms on the menu since not many places offer that! the dipping sauces are different from other places, im not sure what they exactly were but the red one w the sesame seeds was my favorite - they all have a kick to them! hopefully in the future they can install their cooktops within the table and get better ventilation in there and expand a little on their menu. otherwise had a really great meal and experience!

Excellent restaurant. Good service, good food. It's been a year since I discovered hot pot and I'm always happy to find a new place that I can go to. It seems to be one of my favorite types of restaurants now. We recently discovered Azure Hot Pot. It was packed full of people, they asked us if we had a reservation, which we did not, but they found a spot for us. So take that into consideration if you want to try it, you might want to call and book a table. I had never ordered all you can eat style before this. I thought it was a decent price to pay for all you can eat. And I'm definitely looking forward to going back. The food was delicious.

All you can eat hot pot with various prices for kids, adults, seniors which is cool and a nice aspect. Meat was really good but very very thin. But because it was ayce it wasn't a huge issue. Ayce also comes with a scoop of ice cream for dessert which was a good touch! They also make it easy to order more food by scanning a QR code at the table instead of waiting for the servers to come

Good experience nothing fancy but their births are delicious. Tom young soup is a mild spicy but so flavorful. Great variety of meats and must try the mushroom variety. Less than $45/persom They have beer and sake too.

The service was really good for there only being 1 guys on staff and 1 in the kitchen. The ambiance was nice and clean but they didnt have ventilation at all for any of the tables so my sweater got humid after being there for an hour. As we left, the windows were also super foggy so thats really why I gave it 4 stars. For the broth we got TomYum and Miso. The TomYum was super spicy we had to add water to dilute it, I usually like spicy stuff but I was holding in a cough trying to drink the broth. Also the TomYum soup uses that pepper that makes your mouth numb, so if you dont like that then dont order it. Everything else like the meat and veggies was as expected.

Food was pretty average. We wished there was a sauce bar, they have three pre made that they serve you. They were also out of many appetizers that they said were included in the price. Ice cream was good!

Delicious hot pot spot! Definitely needs more love! Unlimited meats, sides and soft serve for a great price. Me and the wifey enjoyed our meat with some sukiyaki and miso soup bases and our favorite meats were the lamb and beef belly. The beef fat fried rice is a MUST try. Def will be back! Curtis our server was awesome!

Great little neighborhood Thai style hot pot. Expect chill vibes, attentive servers, and quality ingredients. Naturally, don't compare this place to places that do a la carte but within the AYCE family? Pretty damn good. Oh! And unlimited soft serve ice cream!

Japanese sukiyaki broth (7/10) I like their Thai dipping sauces (7.5/10) Definitely try their dipping sauce !

Absolutely delicious! I've been to this place many times and still love it here. There are many options of side dishes added to the menu I forgot to take pictures ( was so busy gobbling up the foods ) anyway 10/10

===TL;DR=== - AYCE MEAT only (from my experience) - Tom yum and Mala spicy soup - Street parking ===TMI=== The moment you walk in, you're immediately greeted with their primary color space. Couldn't tell if they're not popping off yet or it's cause we came on a Sunday evening. The server was very sweet and nice. Good meat quality, on the thinner side. Broth used were also tasty. The server was very attentive whenever our meat was running low. Didn't notice there was a time limit so that's always a plus for those with bigger appetites. Don't let the thin slices fool you cause before you know it, your belly gets filled to the brim! The highlight was their sauces! Personally the Thai one was my favorite so don't be shy to ask for a refill when you're running low! Although they were AYCE, we're not sure why we got charged for extra udons.. -shrug-. The menu state "All Hotpot We serve with Vegatables and Noodle" but they also have an add on vegetable menu so I'm assuming you don't get free refills... and ONLY the meats were AYCE. Right when you thought your battle is coming to an end, they remind you that there are still soft serves to end the meal! Yes, soft serves, not ice cream. Thai tea and vanilla. They don't have an elaborate menu but have all the shabu staples. Give them a go if you're a shabu fan!

Cute little hole-in-the-wall looking place. Broth are yum, meat is quality good. I came for late lunch and the music was too loud but other than that, good experience overall.

"Hot Pot, Mongolian Grill style, in downtown Berkeley"…read more Came here on Black Friday evening at 6:45pm, and it was pretty empty in the restaurant. The place is BRIGHTLY lit, but I confess I would have been confused on protocol without coming with two past diners. There are some large bowls on the side and tongs, and you stack the meats, veggies, and starches from the adjacent fridge/ freezers in the bowl as you walk in, then hand it to the cashier and note which broth you'd like. They then cook it up and bring it out to you. Because they cook it with materials you picked (rather than then giving you ingredients and you cooking it), that's why I call it "Mongolian grill style". The process was a bit difficult-- I don't know Mandarin, and some choices were only labeled in Mandarin (or were clearly mislabeled). For instance, I saw something that looked like fake crab meat sticks, but later discovered it had some sort of meat filling that was not obvious. I picked as best I could though, and everything looked to be in good shape/ quality. The choices were broad-- many veggies and meats, some starches like ramen or other noodles, etc. I got the signature spicy with a setting at mild, and it had some zing but was very doable for me. One of my dining partners had the tomato and asked for "no" space, and she got what she requested-- said it tasted like Campbell's tomato soup. Meanwhile others with us got the Sichian spicy and were sweating hard. The food took maybe 10 minutes to come out, which was fine. The price was about what you'd expect for the downtown Berkeley area-- not "cheap" but reasonable for what it was-- cost about $150 for the 5 of us. Overall, I enjoyed it. Not something I see myself craving and running back to, but a decent choice in the area.

It was our first time, but the process was pretty straightforward grab a bowl and tongs by the entrance and start picking from a great variety of meats, veggies, and more. Only downside was that a few ingredients in the freezer weren't fully stocked, but honestly, still an easy 5 stars from me.

Lo and behold, this was the closest place when we checked the app. It was just a few blocks from where we were, and they have a designated parking lot. If I recall, dinner was approximately $28.99 per person, which is pretty affordable in this day of age. Of course, as I am writing this, prices could change. Lunch is even more affordable at $23.99 per person. Upon arrival, the lady/owner warmly greeted us as she simultaneously seated us. She handed us a menu and explained the process. You pick a broth base as it comes with that articular meat of your choosing, then select the different rolls of meat. There are also different sides available (like chicken feet and tripe). There is also a self-serve cooler fridge that contains the usual hot pot items that you can add to your bowl from veggies, protein and noodles. The soup options are the following: - Spicy - Tomato - Sacha Seafood - Curry Flavored - Hot & Sour - Pork Tripe and Chicken - Beef Brisket - Beef Rib - Wild Mushroom There was also a sweet (not-too-sweet) drink in a large carafe-type container that was quite delightful. It was light, tasty and quite addicting that I kept refilling my cup. The vibe of the place feels old and homey; however, most of the customers were young, student-types. Perhaps UC Berkeley students? It also wasn't busy and half of the restaurant was empty. Most of us were seated by the front. All in all, we had a good dinner as the broths were seasoned well and not overly salty. Yes, most of the dishes are self-serve, but you can control the portion this way. I also enjoyed the chicken feet and tripe, which aren't typically on a hot pot menu in most places. There's also the hidden protein inside the broths. Whatever option you order (i.e. chicken, pork) there's hunks of them on the bottom for you to discover. It's like having a hidden reward. It's a good hot pot spot that won't break the bank.

I thought everything was solid top to bottom, but here is my ranking in descending order: Braised Eggplant Tofu Clay Pot - I generally like this dish everywhere and they have a good version on this here - seasoned well, tender eggplant, and nice texture on the tofu Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings - non-traditional "salt & pepper" - thick coating of tempura-like batter, very peppery (black pepper), and wings set on a bed of sauteed onions. Sesame Bread with Green Onion - tasty, but unlike other "da bing" I've had. This was on the thin side, meaning you have a lot more crispy outside compared fluffy inside. This was also lighter on the green onion. Classic Shrimp & Chive Dumpling - can't go wrong with dumplings - an order comes with 12 dumplings, each filled with big pieces of shrimp. I liked the texture but it is a little different - looser filling instead of a solid meat/veg ball on the inside. Original Braised Pork Noodle Soup - I liked the flavor of the soup and noodles. There was a ton of meat (diced) but they were on the tough side.

Between my partner and I, we got the Senroppon Salad, Hasami Age and a Hana Gomoku. The Senroppon Salad came pretty quickly. It's composed of a lot of shredded root veggies, some tofu strips, edamame, sprouts and seeds mixed with a light soy vinaigrette. I found some inspiration while having this. It's a very refreshing, non-green, healthy salad. Quite unique! The vinaigrette gets a little stronger when you get to the bottom of the salad since those have been sitting in the dressing for a while. Next, the Hasami Age was something my partner was intrigued about. It's almost like a sushi roll, but made the filling is just corn and tofu. They're wrapped with a soybean sheet and nori and then lightly battered and fried. It turned out really delicious! The batter was indeed on the lighter side and it didn't feel heavy or oily at all. The corn and tofu mix was a little bland, so I wished they put a bit more veggie variety in there for different taste and texture. The almond sauce worked really well with it. If I have to describe this dish, it's like the offspring of a sushi roll and spring roll, haha. Lastly, the Hana Gomoku! This is like a very healthy Buddha bowl. All the ingredients were laid out neatly on top and there was a lot of veggie varieties! I love that they mixed hijiki into the rice, so it not only added flavor to the base, but also some texture.
