Was just here yesterday afternoon. I used to come here alot and its been awhile. Started off by ordering some sangria but unfortunately they didn't have the ingredients to make it? Ordered a beef rib and filet mignon board. The beef rib was ok and i didnt see any salt on it. The filet mignon came out pretty much rare and i ordered it medium. I told the server and they took it back and returned with it the exact same way. Smh. They took it back one more time and then it looked a bit more cooked but it just tasted horrible, very bloody tasting. The server took if off our tab and was being as helpful as she could've been. If not for her service this review would have been a 1 star. Not returning.

The all day happy hour was a hit. It was a chilly day but we scored a table on Saturday for dinner. The waitress took a while to arrive, but when she did, she was the best. We got the beef ribs, yucca fries, spicy chicken sliders, and lobster cabbage tacos. The medium rib and sliced meat were amazing in taste and portion size. The warm Brazilian bread made me happy. The sliders were unforgettable, unfortunately. But we enjoyed the seafood tacos with sauce on the side. The hot yucca fries with Parmesan were good with the slightly tangy sauce. We also got a 90 calorie passion spritzer that was not bad. And we had leftovers! Would come back

The happy hour at Fogo is severely underrated. A $10 picanha burger w/ polenta fries?! Say no more. The ambiance is great. It's not overly loud and a solid spot to catch a game. I have had excellent service on both of my recent visits here. John does a fantastic job at the bar on the cocktails and goes above and beyond. The $16 Dino rib is another favorite from the bar menu. This is becoming one of my regular spots given the great value and proximity to the theatre.

I think this is the longest time we stayed in a restaurant because of our long wait time to be served the meat :-( Food is good, they have good sides and the place is clean but I just don't feel like it's worth the money we spent bec we did not have our fill... been to several churascaria places & specifically Fogo de Chao in SF, but this one is different

been to here multiple times for the churrasco experience, best of brazil, and all day happy hour. all were great but nothing beats the best of brazil. for $50-$60 you get access to the market table while having a selection of meats to try. i recently just tried their happy hour and will definitely be back for it. although you dont get the fogo experience i think the happy hour is well worth it for $6 a dish, $10 cocktails, and $8 for beer/wine.

We visited Fogo de Chão expecting the advertised $49 all-you-can-eat special, only to learn it's not available at California locations. Instead, we paid about $80 per adult. The restaurant is beautiful, spacious, and we were seated immediately. However, the service was disappointing. I asked multiple times for the queijo com mel and was repeatedly told it would be out soon, but it didn't arrive until we were already full and ready to leave. My kids also had a hard time getting more than a piece or two of grilled pineapple at a time. The salad bar was just okay, and the meat selection felt limited compared to other Brazilian steakhouses. I missed seafood options like grilled shrimp, and my husband was disappointed there were no chicken hearts. For the price, we expected much more. We prefer Galpão Gaúcho in Walnut Creek, which offers better service, more variety, and a better overall experience.

Came here with a few coworkers who were in town for a team offsite. They were craving steak, and since there weren't many options near our hotel, we decided to check this place out. We weren't quite hungry enough to do AYCE, so we ordered à la carte instead. We went with the lobster and shrimp tower appetizer, dry-aged tomahawk, lobster mac and cheese, and yuca fries. Surprisingly, the lobster mac and cheese completely stole the show--it was the standout dish of the night. The tomahawk was good and cooked perfectly, with great quality meat. I just wish it was seasoned a bit more. They do provide salt and chimichurri sauce, but it still felt like it was missing that extra something flavor-wise. And don't skip the complimentary cheese bread! It comes out warm and is absolutely delicious. Definitely ask for butter--we couldn't stop eating these, lol. Overall, it was a nice meal, plenty of food, and we even had leftovers. If you're really hungry, I'd recommend going for the full experience so you can enjoy the salad bar too.

Had a group brunch there today. The restaurant is clean and not crowded, salad bar is constantly refreshed, a little sad that near the end of our meal they ran out of dragon fruit and pineapples! I was waiting until the end of the meal to get some . Service for the meat was on the slow side, sirlons and prime ribs were good but the filet mignon was leathery and dry.

So glad Mellana Cafe was recommended via Yelp, because holy moly they definitely know how to make fresh, healthy, and colorful fruit smoothies and juices. It was so delicious, and the smoothie was the perfect amount of thickness and melt ratio. It had a very vibrant beautiful citrus color. The two ladies working the front were so friendly and efficient. A+ for service. I also like how cute their cafe was, but not a place where I would study. They seem nice but not too confident, which can affect the experience. Maybe even the service since I ordered a golden latte recently during their shift and got chunks of turmeric in mine; it was lukewarm too, not even hot. Ham and cheese 10/10 - the amounts of ham added to the empanada was surprising. Usually, I find it hard to get enough filling but it was just enough. Veggie 9/10 - spinach, corn, squash, mushroom. The seasoning on this was amazing, and before I knew it I was more than halfway through it. Apple empanada - was a nice little treat. Omg! They have Peruvian beer and I love that for me because it's delicious, and also very uncommon! On the level, the food warrants 4 stars, but this restaurant is uniquely child-friendly and worth spotlighting for that reason. The 3+ hour tasting menu is an experience to behold. We saw that there is a children's price online, so we included our almost-ten year old in the reservation. Everyone -- the adults in our party as well as the servers -- felt a bit of trepidation when we sat down, but all turned out well. He read a book between courses and watched the food being cooked in the open kitchen. Our party had a lively conversation throughout and the servers -- who were very friendly -- jumped in and out. At one point, we turned around to find a low shelf with Dr. Seuss books, which we learned belonged to the chef when his kids were younger. It felt symbolic of the whole attitude of the place. Regarding the menu, I will briefly say that it was excellent. All dishes were superbly executed, though a couple perhaps needed a bit more imagination. For example, the black garlic and harissa that garnished the lamb felt very "on-trend," rather than something unique to this restaurant. That said, it was delicious and the flavors were well-paired. The children's menu turned out to be identical to the adults' in terms of dishes and proportions. Not everything appealed to our plucky nine year old's palate but he did indeed eat most of what was put in front of him. Mägo makes a welcoming entrée to fine dining for young eaters. I really liked the first several courses as they were really fun, creative and beautifully presented. When we got to the proteins, it was honestly quite underwhelming for me. It was almost disappointing. The first protein was a local seabass with a cashew (or walnut?) sauce but the sauce was so incredibly salty that it had a bit of a bite to it so needless to say, got rid of the sauce to eat the fish. Fish was also a bit dry. The next was lamb 2 ways. It was fine but also just a piece of grilled steak on the plate and a merguez sausage stuffed pepper. The stuffed pepper was fun but neither of the these 2 things were mind blowingly good or creative. The lamb plate looked so boring that any home cook can do it. Overall, proteins were a miss for me. My friend got the cheese plate, it was fine but I don't think it's worth the extra add on. It wasn't anything super special. Then the dessert which is usually my favorite part of the meal. First was a roasted strawberry and a milk ice cream dish that was delightful and beautifully presented. The second was a small bite with compressed melon and a financier. The financier was even saltier than that fish. Definitely used salt instead of sugar. Not sure how that was missed but it was probably the most disgusting "dessert" I've eaten at a restaurant. Thus, the 3 stars because it was truly disappointing that the meal ended on a salty note...literally. Service was fine. Wasn't the most outstanding, it feels like some of the staff members didn't know the menu super well and certainly didn't seem confident in telling us what we were eating and drinking. The drinks were really tasty though, got to try a large variety of things I probably wouldn't try on my own. Really wanted to love this place as the dinner started off strong but didn't end well. With the drink pairing on a weekend night, absolutely NOT worth your money.
