Took my did kids and in-laws here for dinner and had a great experience, mostly thanks to Inderdeep. It's hard to find a place to satisfy my picky eaters, and kids with allergies. Inderdeep made a special dairy free pizza for daughter with severe food allergies, and she not only loved it, but did not have an allergic reaction for the first time in a long time when going out to eat. The two other pizzas with cheese we ordered we're made to perfection, and we're devoured by my other kids, who are very picky. Thanks Mountain Mike's and thanks Inderdeep! read more

Forget about naming cities or other restaurants, I've been around the world and eaten some of the best pizza. Today, I can truly say that I had one of my favorite pizzas of all time. The crust was absolutely perfect, toppings perfectly proportioned and this pizza gets the highest ratings that I can give it. Superb delivery pizza. Amazing that they could get the crust cooked perfectly with the number of toppings. If you like pizza, you have to give them a try. Yes, on business Trips, all I eat is pizza and make it a point to try different pizzerias. However, for the rest of my week in Berkeley, I'm sticking with the Mountain! This was my husband and I first time here. We watched the warrior's game, nice big screen tv but the staff kept the volume down really low, couldn't hardly hear the game! Mediocre product. This is generic "middle of the road" bowling party pizza-while it is filling, there is little distinctive or fresh about the ingredients used in building their pizzas. In short, these chain store pizzas reflect a Quantity vs. Quality approach. In this same vein, I prefer Round Table's pizzas. But if you want a truly delicious, unique, and flavorful pizza, try either Cheese Board or Sliver in Berkeley. read more

Had about as much flavor as the cardboard box it came in. This is on line with a Dominoe's or Papa Joes. And it's expensive... came to $16 with tax for a small pie. My beloved has been waiting for weeks for this Mountain Mikes to open. We went to a MM years and years ago in Sacramento and he liked it. Anyway, ordered delivery today. Our pizza arrived in the time stated and was hot. Good job. We ordered a McKinley, traditional American pizza joint pizza like I grew up with. Nothing like the artisan pies sold up the street. Was it good? Yes, very good. Thick crust, fresh tomatoes, fresh peppers and onions. Meats tasted good. I think I have gotten used to the "foodie" pizzas popular here, so I wasn't as sold on my pizza as he was. But, I'm going to try them again because our dinner was good. read more

I work in Oakland, just alittle south of Ashby on Telegraph. We were having an office party and no one wanted to do another potluck. So hey, Friday...pizza...why not!. Well we are kinda cheap, I mean, four pizzas can get to be big bucks. Alot of calling around at the last minute and Mountain Mike's Pizza on San Pablo in Berkeley came through. The Mountain Mike's closer to the office wouldn't deliver but Raj of Berkeley Mountain Mike's Pizza not only said he'd deliver, he worked with us to make us happy, coupons, delivery, you want this pizza...this guy was very accomodating. It came on time, just what we ordered, okay it's not upscale thin crust hoitytoity but we had a great time but wait, the best part was they cut the pizza into small slices. I know that sounds silly but women, you know, somehow those little slices make you think you only had a little .....we are all eating lotsa little pieces and feeling very happy and greedy and we're putting Mountain Mike's Berkeley on speed dial. I do not even need to go into just how DELICIOUS Mountain Mikes pizza is, not matter where that is... But these folks in Berkeley are TOP rated for customer service!! Ordered delivery and the driver/part owner could not get to my hotel due to police/swat having an area surrounded next tomy hotel. The driver parked in a lot, down the street, where the police said he could park, and WALKED my delivery to me!!!! Amazed and thankful! Can only hope he make it back safely AND the cops are all unharmed during this standoff. read more

We planned my 5 year- old's birthday party at a park, and it turned out to be one of those rare rainy days in October. I ordered pizza from Mountain Mikes to be delivered to the park. Half an hour before the party, it was still pouring down, I asked them if we can move the party of ~50 people to their restaurant, and the person I spoke quickly said 'yes'. When we got there, they had set up the tables for us, provided plates, cups, and allowed us to bring our own drinks, and entertainment (balloon animal artist). They cleared out the tables and even gave us candles for the birthday cake! We had a blast despite the rainy weather and the last minute venue change. The owner, her family and staff saved our party, and put smiles all around on a damper of a day! Thank you for your hospitality. I also want to comment on the food as well. The pizza was delicious, and reasonably prices. The buffalo wings were really tasty. The restaurant was open and bright, even on a rainy day like today, with plenty of parking. We were eating pizza at home for about 15 minutes when the doorbell rang. Turns out I dropped my wallet in the restaurant and they delivered it to my house before I even knew it was missing. Just ordered pizza 8/7/16 for delivery. I must say it has been the worst experience EVER! I will never order from this location again. My pizza was supposed to arrive in 35mins and didn't receive my order until a little over an hour. If I wanted to wait that long for pizza I could've drove. And then the driver was extremely rude and told me he wasn't coming to my door and told me to walk to his car to get my pizza. What's the point of delivery service if I have to walk out my house all the way to my front gate to retrieve my pizza. So after telling him I wasn't going to do so, he finally comes to the front of my house and has the audacity to have an attitude. Then drops my condiments on the nasty ground and not even pick them up. And it gets worst, the driver yells at me because I wasn't getting the 4 cents out my pocket quick enough for him. Seriously! I'm trying to pick up the condiments you dropped and hand you money! So upset at the mediocre service I received, I call the establishment to let them know because I didn't want anyone else to have the same experience nor have him ever come back to my residence. Was speaking to a woman who suddenly puts me on hold and transfers me over to someone who doesn't even introduce himself. After explaining what happened. He comes up with excuses for the bad service. After all is done I was offered a percentage off my next pizza. Ok fine. Don't care about a discount because that's not the issue but I appreciated the gesture. Until the gentleman then tells me at the end of the convo that he was going to give me half of the discount he just offered. That was tacky! So I let the gentleman know. And he said oh I was going to give you that smaller discount for life. Seriously, that's a lame excuse. I realized at that point I didn't even get his name. He then introduces himself as Raji (I believe is his name) the Manager. I'm still surprised at the service because I frequent this place at least twice a month. I would've let this incident go and ordered again from them but that tacky gesture from the manager was the icing on the cake. read more

Horrible experience just last evening. I ordered online via the Mountain Mikes website for the Berkeley location delivery. I ordered a custom pizza with bread sticks. Have ordered and been satisfied with past experiences. Last night the delivery driver who could not find my location and had to call twice despite my description & clear instructions on the 1st call, interrogated me at my front door concerning my identity and possible fraud. He requested (multiple) times for me to produce my credit card after he calmly explained (a reply to my asking why) that he was doing so to concerning fraud. I reluctantly produced my credit card and upon my insistence, my CA DL also. I even turned on a light so that he could see & verify, he then attempted to take my credit card from my hand so that he could rub it on a carbon copy, without asking, which I refused to let happen. He then went through his company policy. I promptly called the manager only to be told they lost $5-$6K last month to people ordering pizza and calling the bank to dispute charges later and that is why they have this policy. While I understand the business issue, clearly this is not the way to treat law abiding customers! I explained that since this is the approach decision, I would no longer be ordering from them and the Mgr responded "That is your choice." Terrible business senses..treat all customers as criminals & frauds. Now not only have you lost the alleged $5-6K, now you have alienated an formerly happy customer by your 'makes no sense' policy. You could have simply disputed the claims with whichever card issuer. You have my name, address, DL, & CC in your face and you still have doubt? I paid for my pizza including a $3.00 delivery fee and gave your "snatch happy" delivery guy a $6.00 cash tip! NEVER AGAIN!. Oh and when I put the manager on speaker to speak to the delivery to explain he made an exception to the rule for me last night, the driver felt the need to hold my phone for NO reason! Ya'll were better off with the young and pleasant delivery guys. I wish your business blessings, clearly you are gonna need it! read more

Sunday late afternoon, craving pizza. Fortunately MM's coupons are available on their website, $15.99 for a Large 1-topping pizza. Sold! We pre-ordered the Large with mushrooms. Very convenient location on SPA and they have their own parking lot. The pizza was ready for us when we arrived, so no waiting. The pizza was terrific! It's not fancy, no gourmet topping options, but super tasty. What I noticed most was the seeming lack of sauce. Maybe it did have some but it was so nominal, that I can't say it had any at all. And yet, I didn't miss it. It had the perfect amount of cheese & mushroom slices. The Large seemed more like a medium, they sliced it in approximately 12 somewhat uneven slices. We each ate 3 slices and felt satisfied but not stuffed. I'll definitely order here again when in the area. They have a large dining area in/out, tv's, salad bar and pizza bar/buffet for those who order the AYCE buffet. This would be a good choice for a family or group. read more
