Cute room

Ok I really enjoyed myself on this wine tasting tour. They also had the really great wine tastings!!! We got 5 tastings here. My fav here is the Brut and pineapple coconut sparkling!! It was so tasty and flavorful!!! The service was also pretty good to handle a huge party. The ambiance was really nice and very spacious!!! They have live entertainment outside and restaurant if you want food. I like how they had chips to buy at the tasting counter to snack on. I promise you those Miss Vickie's chips were on point!!! They also had tequila tasting if you wanted!!! I didn't try but next time I will you just have to reserve it. The wine room is also cute where they have all the wine barrels inside. You can also rent out that room for special occasions. The tour guide was really nice and the ambiance and views were perfect! I will come back here for sure! -Marshay D.

It was a sunny Saturday afternoon in January, and I decided to see what Mount Palomar had to offer, as I was seeking a new place to become a member. Somewhat of a different vibe, with regards to my preferred atmosphere when it comes to wineries. I am there for the wine, and the atmosphere is either a positive or negative impact on my enjoyment based upon how much the wine is neglected, and the entertainment and vibe is in the forefront. Dancing , loud never-ending music, and patrons screaming at the top of their lungs is interfering with the enjoyment of the grape product. The wine was mediocre in comparison to the expansive and visually appealing property.

second time here for car events and it was fun both times. I would like to come back for a regular wine tasting though. the wine i had was not bad. I would definitely come back.

We did a tasting yesterday & had the most amazing time! All of the wines were delicious, but Anne Marie absolutely made our experience what it was. She was so incredibly knowledgeable, we learned so much from her, and would honestly go back just to see her again! Can't wait to come back!

Mt Palomar had a Groupon, and I decided to take my BF since he went there when he was 21! The winery is far back from the road, so you could drive right by and completely miss it. There is a large courtyard with greek statues and flowers, like your on Mt Olympus. We were hungry and wanted to eat, but the restaurant was closed, they gave us a coupon for a free appetizer, for consolation. We highly recommend the port and Romantica sparkling!

What a lovely afternoon, we tasted some beautiful white and reds and the sparkling was delicious! The staff is attentive and informative and decanted a wonderful bottle of Merlot. A Fun day with a good friend and delicious wine.

Went to mount Palomar on a Wednesday afternoon, arrived around 1:30 and it was super quiet! Had lunch, then did a tasting. All of the staff was extremely friendly!! I had read prior to coming it was dog friendly outdoors but the staff here said my dog could go anywhere! It was 90 outside and was great to have the dog inside the tasting room with us! Great property and great wine as well!

My husband brought me wine tasting here. I didn't realize it was his first time. The restroom was clean and well stocked. The band, Ascentials, was great! Definitely contributed to the good vibes. Free parking. Dog friendly. Everyone on staff is super friendly. Had a blast. Would return. We only took advantage of 3/5 tastings since we're not big drinkers. That was plenty for us.

I loved the food and wine here! Everything was so flavorful. The service was kind of confusing if you didn't tell them it was your first time. There are a lot of people and it's open seating so if it's busy, it's hard to find a nice spot.

Absolutely loved the boss working! She was top tier, and hilarious! Love love love this wine, and the scenery. It's so beautiful here!

We had a very nice experience at this winery, Brian took great care of us. Unfortunately the wines were way too sweet. We like a more crisp, deep wine and these were very sweet, but the winery itself is gorgeous. The property is so beautiful.

The wine tender was amazing. He was extremely busy but still took the time to make us feel welcomed. Once things slowed down he came over and spent time with us and gave us a brief rundown of what to pair with and what he enjoyed. The property was well maintained and the vibe was extremely chill.

As much as I would've loved to give this place a 5-star review, the experience fell a bit short. The ambiance was great thanks to the live music we visited around 2pm on a busy Saturday, which added to the lively atmosphere. However, for a wine tasting experience, it felt very crowded and rushed. There wasn't a dedicated person explaining the wines, so it was more of a quick pour and move along situation. We didn't learn much about what we were tasting and were left feeling a bit unsure about where to go next, as there wasn't much direction. That said, the wine itself was amazing--truly the highlight of the visit and absolutely delicious.

The line dancing was beginner-friendly, so even if you've never done it before, you'll catch on pretty quickly. Also... the little golf cart shuttle that takes you back to the parking lot afterward? Absolute best after a long night in boots . It was such a nice touch after a night of dancing. Such a fun way to spend a Friday with your girlfriends. We'll definitely be making this a tradition.

He was knowledgeable about the wines and did a great job explaining the pairings. The scenery is absolutely beautiful, and the pond is gorgeous. It's a great setting to relax, enjoy some wine, and take in the views. They also have a nice selection of wines to choose from. Unfortunately, the food options were a bit of a letdown. I was particularly disappointed in what they presented as a charcuterie board. There were no jams, olives, or brie, and the overall presentation was pretty underwhelming. The walnuts presentation were also soft and soggy. How do walnuts get that way unless they've been sitting out too long?! The "charcuterie board" came in a square paper box and for $42.00, I expected a much better presentation and options. Honestly, it just felt blah and wasn't what I would typically expect from a winery. Overall, the wine, service, and beautiful surroundings made for an enjoyable visit. I just wish the food offerings and presentation were more in line with the rest of the experience. I'd consider coming back for the wine and scenery, but I hope they improve their food selection. On another note, my friend order the truffle fries. It was okay but it was barely dusted with truffle.

It was really nice and the music was good and the vibes were very relaxing. Again- small business, cottage vibes!!! i've never been to a winery where all the wines SMELL GOOD and taste good! Upon telling them that I love the smell of their wines they said they had some candles and one of the candles literally smelled like my childhood. It was a smell of a wine name but the smell was Colgate and aftershave from the 80s. So I ended up buying one for my dad because it smelled like him when I was a little kid... honestly this place is magical you just have to tap in... Takes a little bit of time but it really does have an incredible lighting and magic to it. You'll have flashbacks to an earlier time for sure when you were a kid. Well, I tried to call them a few days head, but the voice mail instructions was too long. Anyhow, they took us to where the magic happened. Apparently other than the usual wine oak barrels, Somerset Winery use amphorae. A method that was used since hundreds or maybe even thousands years ago. The amphorae was imported from Italy, and Denise was showing us about a pressure release device that was invented by Leonardo DaVinci! Then the owner came with a big group about to enter the chamber, so he let us try the unfiltered wine straight from the gigantic amphora. What an experience! The wine from these amphorae was so smooth. I really changed my view of Temecula's wine. Try their collection of the Drunken Rabbits wine while you are here. They are sweet and tasty! They also have Michael Chain performing live that day, so lovely.

There were Adirondack chairs outside, cornhole, etc. It was such a welcoming place. There were food trucks from which to purchase Mexican food etc. out in the parking lot. After Covid, they expanded which is great. The comfy Adirondack chairs turned into metal tables and chairs. The space feels much more crammed. It does not feel so relaxed anymore. And as for the employees, snarky comments should never be tolerated. My daughter-in-law had her mother's retirement party at this establishment. Initially, the woman she talked to on the phone was not very helpful or welcoming. Some other gentleman was VERY helpful and gave the impression that this party was welcome here. On the night of the event, 15 people actually showed up. We had three tables inside. There was one party of 4 in the back corner. The place was empty. There were a few people outside enjoying the live music. The music was great. Anyway, we brought some of our Somerset wines from home but also ordered beers, pizza and champagne. It's not like we were merely using their facility with no benefit to them. A couple came in and used another inside table. Again, there was still open seating inside. We weren't loud. We were respectful. We spent money. When it came time to cut the cake, we asked to borrow a knife. The female employee's comment was, "We can't lend you a knife. This is why we tell people to bring cupcakes" in a very condescending and rude tone. There was absolutely no excuse for that demeanor. She should have been kind. And as a side note, any time someone from our party walked up to the tasting counter, the employees didn't acknowledge them. A male and female were talking to each other and told us we needed to wait. What kind of customer service is that?? I've read through many of the comments and it sounds like bridal parties and bachelor parties are perfectly acceptable. And we all know how rowdy they can get. But our quiet retirement party did not feel welcomed. Go to Peltzer if you're in the area. Great vibe! Very chill! Amazing Sangrias and slushies.
