Highly recommend. I called and tried to get in on Saturday before Mother's Day but they were honest and said they were very busy. They offered for me to come in the following morning. I was the first one there the following morning and I got in and out with no issues. I sad that I didn't ask for the nail techs name but he has a blonde streak of hair and I will go to him every single time if I can. He was so nice, he tried to color match to my toes (long story of the day before at a different nail salon) I showed him a pic on Pinterest and told him that it didn't have to look exactly the same, I was not picky but he made it look exactly like the picture. I am in LOVE with my nails. I was watching a movie on my phone and my phone fell over, he gave me his phone stand (which he was using to look at the picture I gave him) and said that he likes to make sure his customers are comfortable and have a good experience! I got my nails done elsewhere and one of the nails broke in half so I went here to get it fixed and they did a wonderful job! They had the same exact color, there was no wait even on New Year's Eve, and they got the shape perfect & it was super cheap! It was the middle finger that had to be replaced in the photo and I can't even tell a difference from the other nails. Will definitely be returning here! read more

I thought I would give this a second try. However I'm beyond disappointed. I came for a simple fill. "Tina" was extremely unfriendly along with a dozen other employees. No one really speaks to you or looks you in the eye or smiles. It's like they're on an assembly line. She didn't even speak when she wanted me to change positions, she would just smack my hand as a way of communicating. No ending lotion or hand massage as I usually get in other places... No smiley thank you for spending your money here. The worst part was the work is sloppy, didn't get the color to the edges of my nails or in an even way. See photos. Precious extra spending money to pamper myself needs to be spent with someone that is delighted to have you come and patronize their business. So many reasons I a DONE with this place! Let me count the ways: The service used to be the most adequate in town, but the last few times it's gotten worse, in quality, service, and price. Today when I went in for a pedicure, my technician was on her phone the entire service, wasn't paying attention to my wincing in pain. My nails were clipped unevenly (or not at all), and I requested a few callused spots to be addressed and she just shoved a menu in my face. The paint job was splotchy and missed several spots. The leg massage was a joke. She lightly rubbed a little circle exclusively on my shin bone. In the end, my feet didn't even look that clean. After service I just wanted to leave, and not say anything since it's the holidays. The more I looked at it over the hour, the more I hated it. I went back to get a refund, but they point blank refused and threw me out. A while ago, my mom stopped going to this location after witnessing blatant racist discrimination from one of the techs toward another patron. I will never go back and I will shout it from the rooftops. read more

This place can be a 1 Star or a 5 star --depending on who's doing your nails. Ive had some people who seemed to care very little about their work and will file nails crooked and leave you with bubbles and dips on your gel manicure. But Nia...Nia does a ridiculously good job every time. I'm very aware of small mistakes while getting a manicure and I never have any comments or complaints when she does it. Ok so I've been coming to this salon for about a year now. Because of coronavirus I'd not gone in months until 2 weeks ago and again today. They are wearing masks and provide a big bottle of sanitizer but they really need to Clean/wipe down after each customer. Also need to wipe down the front desk which I noticed immediately was not cleaned at all. I hope they'll make an effort to do this or I may have to find another nail place. I have been going here to get my nails done since the summer. Overall, this is a really good place to get your nails done. I always usually go to Nia or Jen. They do a beautiful job and are always super friendly and talkative. I will say sometimes it gets busy and there are longer wait times, but once you wait through that and find a good person to do your nails it is all worth it!! I had a terrible experience with this salon. I am unsure of the owner's name but she was so rude to me. I explained to her that I had an appointment, and she responded by being angry and unprofessional. I had a difficult time understanding her, due to talking so fast and a strong accent. I kindly asked her to repeat herself, which made her more angry. I realized she wanted me to find a technician named Jimmy which from asking others there is no "Jimmy." When I asked someone else for assistance, and explained what I needed, he was also rude. As we all know, out time is limited and I thought, "I am here so I will go ahead and stay, but I was uncomfortable." The entire time, he talked, laughing with another nail technician and was not focused on the customer. When he started to put the nail color on my nails and it was the wrong color. I told him it was not the correct color and he said YOU picked that color. I told him that I didn't appreciate they way he talked to me and I told him, I was leaving. The owner was no apologetic and the tech continue to argue with me at the counter as I paid $10.00 for the poor service. I was disappointed, and wanted to have a nice day. My sister who lives in Deland drives to "Modern Nail Spa." to have nails done and I thought I would try that salon." What a difference, they are professional, appreciated my business and treated you as a human being. Tee was wonderful and turned an unpleasant experience into an enjoyable time getting my nails and toes done. I arrived just before 4pm, plenty of time for a basic pedicure & a full set, keep this in mind, as I'm getting situated for my pedicure I'm talking with the nail tech saying I wanted an acrylic tip for my big toe. She proceeds to tell me no, I don't need it, so I ask if I can at least have them very squared shaped, she gave me no response. This is the first issue, if I want an acrylic tip I feel like I should get that. AND MY TOES WERENT SQUARED. Anyways, it came down to color, I asked for standard french but instead of pink I wanted nude, she said no because it's too light - mind you I was getting gel for this reason. She picks what color SHE thought was best I guess, and I honestly kind of hate it.. The waiting + pedicure took about 2.5 hours just because she was going back and forth with me & was distracted. Keep in mind they close at 7. The nail tech doing my full set started while she was still painting my toes in the most uncomfy position. We eventually moved to my actual seat, but then he tells me he doesn't have the same color for my hands because I wanted matching hands & toes... So I'm like okay I pick the best match & move on. I love this place, but I went there today for the first time since March. I called first and asked if there was an appointment needed she said no we take walk-ins as well. I asked if she took temperature? she said yes, so I felt kind of safe hearing that. The sign in the window says to wear a mask and to wash your hands and to have our temperature taken. I had my own bottle of sanitizer with me so instead of washing my hands I sanitize my hands and the chair I was sitting in. I have a mask that I was wearing they did not take my temperature even though I saw the thermometer on the reception desk. ... as I walked to the place they were going to do my nails I noticed that people were not wearing masks everybody that work there was but not everybody that was getting their nails or toes done. I might be wrong but I thought this is part of the requirement to open. I like this place and I've been going to it for over a year but this makes me a little scared. Mostly positive with this place. I get mani's, pedi's, and occasional brow waxing here. The salon is super clean and decorated beautifully. I like that the majority of their equipment is updated or new. They are also pretty decent with their English speaking skills. I'm a bit of a perfectionist so maybe I'm a little to hard on them but I like my nails to be absolutely perfect and identical. There is usually an uneven nail or rift in the polish on at least one or two. This is nothing that would keep me from coming back, just some observations. There has also been a time or two where one of the girls thinned my brows too much. Again, nothing extreme but I'm just a perfectionist on appearance. I spent 95.00 including tip for a mani/ pedi. Had to go in the very next day for a repair on gel polish as it started peeling. Two days later a second mail started peeling and the one I had repaired was lumpy and chipping. I called and explained what was happening to be told that doesn't happen here and that I'd have to return to the shop for the third time to show them. I'm a single mom and work 50 hrs a week. I received a gift certificate for this salon and misplaced it. Once I found it I checked to make sure there were no expiration dates and went in to use it. I was told because it was over 3 years old I could not use it, I pointed out that it was not 3 years old yet. Then was told that they expire after 2 years. Once the manager came up he started by saying 2 years then quickly switched to saying they are only good for one year. I pointed out again that there is no expiration date on the gift certificate. I wanted to share a picture of my foot 9 days after the pedicure at this location. The woman rubbed my foot raw with the pumice stone scrubbing hard and quick. It started bleeding and then she kept wanting me to put my foot back in the water. Finally got it dried and a bandage on it. They still made me pay $25.00 for the pedicure. Stay away from this place. Although nice and large inside... i came in with my daughter and waited about 15 mins before we were sat for pedicures.. a couple walked in 10 mins after us with NO apt and they were sat immediately for pedicures. This nails salon is one of my favorites. They do a great job with acrylics, which I usually get. I suggest Michael, (I hope that's how you spell it) he does a great job with acrylics especially, but usually rushes and doesn't remove the nail polish around nail, which looks messy afterwards, but later comes off. I will probably not be coming back here again. I only came here because my regular nail place was packed. The workers here weren't rude but they weren't friendly either. Whenever they needed you to do something such as move your hand or finger they just tapped you motioning you what to do without saying a word and that just comes off rude. Also one of the colors on the nail examples came out a completely different color on my actual nail which is false advertisement and someone that's really particular would get upset by that so in order to help them avoid those problems I told the guy. I placed my hand next to the example and asked him did he think that was the same color. He just shrugged his shoulders. I said clearly it's not and that I think they should re-dip that color or whatever they do because a customer is going to be pretty unhappy one day. He replied I just have to remember for next time. So to forewarn you, if you do decide to come here and want a PEACH and not a PINK nail do not get Kiara Sky #404. I'll let you know since they won't. Very nice facility. I have been here several times and have yet to get a good pedicure. After my experience today it will be my last. Far from relaxing because of the annoying employee that yells and talks loud the whole time. I asked the girl doing my toes 3 times to trim them shorter and she just nodded her head, not sure if she understood me. My left toe nail was longer than my right. She did finally trim it. My three year old granddaughter could have done a better paint job. The white paint on my French tips are far from even. Very unhappy customer. read more
