My last few experiences at this nail salon have not been the best. This may not be the case for all customers, but this was my experience. The last couple of times, my nail service was very rushed; my nails were thick; and the polishing was not smooth. I stopped going and chose to visit Orlando salons that have great customer service and skills. Yet, I was in the Leesburg area and decided to give this salon one more try. Typically my rating would be at least a 3 star for average service, because the finished product is not horrible. However, my visit today - 3/31/22 - was unsettling. I think it is unethical to double charge a client for a service they did not ask for (even after providing clarity). I won't argue over an issue that is done; however, I won't be giving this place another try.

Once I got seated they offered me a drink and Kenny was very professional. I explained not to cut my cuticles for personal reasons and he understood. I have been cut many times in the past and I get major anxiety with it. I'm also not great for the scrubbing and I let him know and he once again took the time to listen to me with my requests and was gentle . I was very relaxed and the pedicure was great for price with gel- $60. I do wish the massage was slightly longer like it said it would be but it was the day before Mother's Day and they were getting ready to close early. This salon has always charged more than others in the area. Knowing that the manager, Kelvin, openly admits he is obsessed with money and being a rich young man... the services his team provided did make it a little more worth it, at times. But, not consistent across techs so appointments help. They do have a rewards program that provides a minimal support to ongoing customers. There are times when I had an appointment but squeezing in other customers could make my appointment run 10, 20, 30 minutes late 25%-30% of the time. I am a great tipper and almost always tipped in cash, as requested by the management. Here is the kicker... When Trump started to talk tariffs... Kelvin immediately charged a considerable increase as of 04/01/25. The dip polish removal and change is now $57. Changing the polish on my toes with old product - same increase percentage. I went to Star Nails and I am sold on John's dip nails. I am 2 weeks into my second dip set and they look stellar! I also save 30%!!! less for the same service and my nails are actually consistently staying better for longer. Fairy Nails... if people want to pay that price, become a number, then I applaud your capitalism. I can't be that person for you anymore.
