Rant: Amazing nails and spa I rarely leave reviews, but I have to share my experience. I'm extremely disappointed with the service I received at @amazingnails in Clermont. I was referred to Lindsey by the person in the inspiration photo to the left I shared, meaning the work shown was hers. Unfortunately, my experience was not good My inspiration photo was the image on the left, and the finished result was completely different. I paid $85, which I had no issue with at all price was not the problem. The problem was that the final product was not what I asked for. I clearly communicated my expectations during the entire appointment, and while I was told "okay, I'll do it for you," the finished result did not match what was agreed upon. What frustrates me most about nail salons is being told something "looks the same" when it clearly does not. I explained to the nail tech that the shape was off and the overall result did not match the inspiration. She initially agreed to fix it, but when I arrived, I was told it would cost an additional $65. At that point, I was extremely upset. I had already driven 25 minutes, paid full price, and basically had to accept the situation. No customer service at all or the accountability. I've been in the beauty industry and I understand respecting time, but if you know it wasn't done right at least try to rectify. read more

I've been going to Amazing Nail for years now. They always take great care of me. I've recommended them to friends in the area too. I get dip nails and a gel pedicure every 3-4 weeks. I've seen a number of the technicians and would recommend any of them. I even had a couple nails seeming not cure right a few hours after my service and came back and they fixed them for me, no questions asked. I'll start by saying the guy who did my pedicure was very nice. Everything was fine until he cut my nails down to the quick. Then, he painted them with gel like a 5 year old would. No one helped me and the girl by the door is worthless sitting on her phone. The owner was sitting next to me on his phone also and did nothing. Off the rip let me cut to the chase, $70 for acrylic mani and a reg pedi but the place looks cheap. The furniture is not new or even looks new. The service is not up to par with the pricing and I asked for ombré. My nails aren't even blended correctly. I decided I only wanted acrylics and some guy got mad and said "I should of said something earlier", even though my service had just started. So he's basically mad for wasting water.. I wasn't even sitting in the chair yet or anything. The girl that ended up doing my nails actually cut me and hurt me with the nail drill. I'm never gonna pay $70 for rude service and y'all can't even get my nails done the right way. Waste of time. I've come here a few times while visiting my parents in Clermont. I've always had a good experience, but the time when I came in for my wedding takes the cake. The staff here graciously accommodated a party of 8 of us (we did call ahead to make a reservation). They treated me like a princess and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect (even using two different polishes to create the perfect color). The salon is clean and bright. Everyone is pleasant and kind. This isn't a high end salon, but for a salon in a strip mall it is very nice! read more

I have had acrylics for years, but my usual place was closed so i went here instead. A few days later my new acrylics started popping off from fungus growing underneath. I went to the doctor and they said since i haven't experienced this before, and had only had the acrylics on for 6 days it was due to the salon not properly cleaning their utensils, or not putting on the acrylics tight enough. I just moved to this area 6 months ago and went to two nail salons . One the gel manicure lasted 1 fay. The next kept trying to up sell me. Then finally I asked a neighbor and they told me about amazing nails and I have went twice and now getting the dip and its better then the dip I got up north. Unfortunately it took 3 hours for a terrible job on a new set of acrylics.. looked terrible when i left crying... The owner convinced me to try the powder technique as apposed to gel.. unfortunately they put an inexperienced technician to work on my nails . Sweetheart of a young Lady and after an hour and a half of being very patient I realized she didn't know what she was doing.. Another half hour passed and my nails were looking terrible and I asked for assistance from the owner and the experienced teck which both agreed my nails looked terrible and now almost 3 hours into a nightmare nail journey the experienced teck took over and they all apologized and offered for me to come by tomorrow to completely redo my nails.. and they weren't going to charge me today.. I have never not paid for my nails and insisted to pay.. and tip. Not the inexperienced young Ladies fault- she was trying her best.. but I will not go back ever.. I did pay and tipped as well. she still spent hours trying.. But I can't get my over three hours back and now I will have to spend more money ( which I can't afford) and time which I don't have because I actually work and have to go to work.. Unfortunately, I have no idea why the owner would more than suggest I try the powder technique which on its own is a nightmare even done correctly.. Do NOT give this place your hard earned money! I received a gift certificate from a friend to receive a pedi when I'm in town (I live out of town.) The gift certificate she gave me showed a place on it for an expiration date and it was left blank. Recently I had time to finally treat myself to that pedi & the shop would not honor the certificate because they said it was six months expired even though NO expiration date was listed!! These people have no problem excepting someone's hard earned cash but they don't provide the service for which they were paid for!!! Just took my mother there the other day and the person who did my pedicure left ALOT to be desired. She ended up getting polish all around my nails making it look very sloppy, her massage was barely more than a light rub down, and she was rough with the clippers. It was a nice salon but poor nail polish selection. They only have OPI which is great but what about Essie? They also don't have a lot of colors. Kim did my nails and although she was very nice, she needs training in cutting cuticles. Cutting cuticles is crucial in a mani/pedi nit on how much cream and massaging you can do. We just left. I've been going to Amazing nails for over a year now and hopefully this was just a bad situation. Kevin is usually the best of the best and I'd recommend him anywhere. I was, however, placed with Nancy who not only got upset when I asked for a slightly rounder shape but would sigh, roll her eyes and then angrily grind my nails. She didn't speak or look at me. My friend went in and was with Kevin. The coffin shape she wanted to demo for her wedding came out looking like cat claws and were bubbling minutes after we left. This was a terrible experience and I believe I'll be looking for another manicure location.
