There's a lyric in Ice Cube's "Steady Mobbing" about jumping out of the low rider to come back 10 pounds lighter from the bathroom. I mention this in a 5-star review because Mother Wolf's soundtrack during dinner last night was all the classic hip-hop of my youth - including Ice Cube - and the bathroom was really nice and well maintained, even with candles. There's also a grand piano near the hostess stand. I stopped by Mother Wolf last night after going to "Luminosa" with a friend. We were looking for a place to eat after walking around looking at pretty lights and had not made dinner plans. Mother Wolf was close by and we decided to try it. After parking, we spoke with Vanessa the hostess who was excellent in finding a table for us where our server Jay & his team were attentive throughout our dinner with wine service and pacing of our plates. The view from our table was dimly lit, in a comfy booth with an Italian villa vibe. It's a great spot to take someone to dinner. We decided to order a variety of appetizers. I loved the "SUPPLI AL TELEFONO", essentially an Aranci croqueta stuffed with guanciale (pork), pomodoro and pecorino. This delicious bite was fully loaded, and not just breading. My friend's favorite was their "FIORI DE ZUCCA" (squash blossoms with stuffed with a deliciously cheesy blend of fresh ricotta and parmigiano. The meatballs could have used a dash more sauce, but were still overall yummy. We made sure to save space to enjoy their MARINARA CON BURRATA pie. Topped with a cool ball of burrata, this pie loads a smooth blend of oregano, garlic and pomodoro on a just-right crispy theme crust. It went perfectly with my dry Chianti (more than one glass of course!) Make sure to ask for their dessert menu. We shared a slice of a wonderful cacao and pistachio pie with mascarpone cream and cherries. Highly recommend! read more

Came here again to try their September Miami Spice and some other dishes. BATTUTA DI MANZO (beef tartare): 4/5 was the best item out of everything we ordered (minus the dessert). The first bite was rather refreshing from the lemon and then the saltiness hits. Texture is like a medium rare steak but cold. Really like the pairing with the crunchy bread. RIGATONCINI AL CINGHIALE (wild boar rigatoni): 3/5 was ok. Kind of basic tasting. Felt like it needed like some more pepper for a kick. It just tasted kind of mild and a little plain and lacking something but it wasn't bad or anything like that, just lacking something. Tiramisu: 5/5 was the highlight of everything we had. It tasted really fresh and creamy. My friend and I agree that this is the best tiramisu we ever had. He also tried like almost all of the desserts here and said the tiramisu is the best out of them all. FIORI DI ZUCCA (squash blossoms): 3/5 it was ok for me. I do like the batter, it was light and crunchy, a little airy. It reminds me of tempura batter. Filling wise, it was ok for me, it was a little too heavy for me and a little bit salty. Wouldn't get this again. DIAVOLA (pepperoni pizza): 2/5 was rather heavy, too rich and too salty for me. I had to force myself to finish just 1 slice of it. They baked the basil leaves together into the pizza. I felt like if they added it on after, it would kind of helped cut down the heaviness and oiliness of the pizza. I wasn't able to taste the basil that they baked into the pizza. Idk felt like today a lot of the dishes were rather salty. We drank so much water. On the way home, we were really thirsty. Service was nice as always. I think I'll just go back for their octopus salad and tiramisu if I do go back. I used their bathroom this time and there was barely any light in the bathroom. Like how does a girl touch up on their makeup when there's barely any light. read more

If Mother Wolf aims to impress, it certainly starts with the décor...but not necessarily in a good way. The interior feels like it was plucked straight out of a gaudy Las Vegas playbook: all flash, no warmth, no intimacy. Towering ceilings give the space an echo chamber of noise. Conversations ricochet off cheap wallpapered walls, and any attempt at a relaxed meal is drowned in the chaos. As for the food? Mediocre at best. Our snide waiter really pushed the squash blooms, but they were overfried, mushy, doughy and the cream inside had been sitting too long as it was lumpy, bumpy and disgusting. Pizza, was just "fine". Spaghetti, while I love al dente, this was nearly hard and gummy with no pizazzas, spicy fun that an arriabata should deliver. Wine selections, we tried three, not worth the $25-30 per glass and came so late. With so much staff I was surprised by the indifference of service level - if you bring out a new dish, bring us. new plates, just dont plop squash blossoms in front of us expecting us to to use the plate they arrived on with nothing else in front of us. Unless you chase the latest buzz, feel like you need to be "seen" (Although go to Carbone or Sunny's), or want a Las Vegas grotesque decor and average food, save your money and go to a place like 'O Munaciello where real italians go and theres no pomp circumstance, just good food. And the focaccia bread thats been written about, its good. Thats all I have to say. read more

Ambience- this restaurant gives Italian upscale. It's romantic/chic and over the top. The decor is top tier. You can even watch fresh pasta being made. Service- one thing about restaurants in South Florida is the hostess's are snobby and rude. At Mother Wolf, that is NOT the case. Everyone was friendly/nice and always smiling. You definitely felt welcomed by them. The waiter was exceptional. He recommended incredible dishes. He was personable and charming. He made the dining experience so much more enjoyable. Food- incredible/delicious food. We ordered the focaccia bread, meatballs, Diavola pizza and two different pasta dishes. Everything was cooked to perfection. I can't say what my favorite dish was because it was all amazing. The drinks were well made as well. I had an apple drink that had the perfect amount of sweetness. Reservations are hard to get on the weekends but I HIGHLY recommend coming here. Its the best restaurant I've tried this year! read more

From the moment we walked into Mother Wolf Miami, everything felt first-class. The space is stunning -- elegant but still warm and inviting. Service was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable without being over the top. We started with the focaccia -- absolutely incredible, fresh, and full of flavor. The pasta was the star of the show -- especially the rigatoni all'amatriciana and fettuccine al limone. Both were perfectly cooked and full of authentic Roman flavor. The Diavola pizza was crispy, spicy, and cooked just right. The staff really knew the menu and the wine list, and their recommendations were spot on. Dessert (the hazelnut gelato) was the perfect ending to an amazing meal. Mother Wolf is one of the best new Italian spots in Miami -- perfect for date night, a celebration, or just treating yourself to great food in a beautiful setting. Highly recommend making a reservation! read more

So my sister and I went there just for a little catch-up for girls night and it was such a lovely experience. The food was delicious. We ordered the Barada dish and to our surprise we were told that the Barada was flown in from Italy and yes, it was giving Italy all the way we also had some delicious Tartar. I cannot wait to go back. It is definitely a different type of vibe so if you are a tartare person, I highly recommend it. It is just the texture the visual it's 10 out of 10 and the portion size is amazing for the price definitely by far. One of my top tarts I've ever had our pasta was pretty pretty OK nothing to rave about but you can definitely tell that the pasta was homemade. My sister had the short rib I believe and she said it was phenomenal. We also had a dessert and that was just delicious as well all around 100% delicious I will say that the staff was amazing. The operational manager came by and he was charming and talkative. Our server was also great and you can just tell the hospitality customer service is A1 there which is something that you don't really see anymore in Miami. read more

This place was extremely beautiful to be in, so classy and upbeat. The food was delicious and the service was spot on. Beautiful restaurant in the design district with an intimate beautiful ambiance, and varied menu. Loved the name! It felt like tucking into a cozy bed, which is generally where I do my best eating. While service was plentiful it could be a tiny bit better I waited a bit to get my wine and the timing of the plates could have been a little better but overall it was a nice experience. The octopus salad was good and the cucumbers were a nice touch. I wasn't in love with the meatballs but it was a unique version with short rib. The tiramisu hit it out of the park for me which is something I've tried a lot of. The presentation was pretty and there was plenty of creamy marscapone. Tried a bite of the lemon pasta and it was perfectly lemony. read more

The food was very good. The service was excellent and the restaurant had a nice, elegant ambiance.

Lived up to the hype- Mother Wolf was great. The moody, well thought out interior design classes this as an amazing date spot. The fantastic service and great food quality here were much appreciated. My favorite dish were the squash blossoms- they came lightly fried and filled with ricotta. It was the most delicate, exquisite flavor and texture I'd tried in a while. I was so happy to see Evan Funke open his first Mother Wolf restaurant on the east coast, especially in my home base of Miami! I have heard amazing things about his Los Angeles restaurants and was so excited to try his new restaurant here. If you haven't heard of Evan Funke, he's an amazing pasta craftsman- check out his Netflix Chef's Table Noodles episode to see how he came to be the chef he is today. It's a really great show! For reservations, they open up 7 days in advance of your desired date at 9 AM EST. Saturdays are really tough to get reservations, so be flexible if possible. We dined on a Sunday evening and it was pretty quiet overall, but it was great because staff seemed to be more relaxed and personalized their servicing even more. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the host stand employees and were congratulated for our wedding anniversary. We then were seated in the main dining room promptly at our reservation time and were greeted by our server Isaac who came by with two glasses of complimentary prosecco to recognize us for our anniversary as well. It really was a nice touch and made us feel really special. We studied the menu and Isaac answered any questions we had. We ordered a bottle of wine (bottles of wine started around $80), and the wine selection was very impressive and all good quality. For appetizers we ordered the Sfincione in Bianco ($12) to start and the Fiori di Zucca ($28). Both were must orders, really tasty and flavorful. You absolutely have to order the focaccia, it's unlike anything I've ever had before! For entrees, we had to order the pasta (Rigatoncini alla Vaccinara, $34 & the Rigatoni All'Amatriciana, $26). The pastas were all large portions surprisingly and all so amazing and hand crafted, you could really feel the love the the dishes! You absolutely have to order the pasta here! For dessert, they had a very impressive menu as well - we ordered the Torta All'Olio D'Oliva ($15), and also was a very impressive creation by the pastry team and we were so happy we ordered it. The entire experience at Mother Wolf Miami was very impressive, the staff from the time we entered from the time we left made us feel at home and welcome and celebrated our wedding anniversary with us. You absolutely have to try Mother Wolf Miami! read more

Delightful experience on a Saturday night at Mother Wolf! We had 8:30 reservations and arrived early, they kindly asked if we'd prefer high top or table and we opted to wait for a table. It was a nice touch to have high top tables for guests waiting in the lobby as the bar was full so we grabbed a drink at bar and sat at tables in lobby which overlooked the pasta making station. Soon after, a hostess came over and took us to a high top and after explaining we requested a table, they stated they were clearing some tables. As the time passed, they brought over a Complimentary glass of champagne for guests that were waiting despite they were only slightly behind which was generous and hospitable. We were seated at banquette style table in dining room which had open view of kitchen. Despite it was lively and a full house, acoustics were good and we were able to have a conversation without shouting. I also enjoyed the 90s-early 2000 music as it was unexpected for the setting but added to the vibe of the restaurant. Our server arrived promptly, explaining the menu and quickly tending to our drinks and resetting our table. They request you order all at once and continued to reiterate that food comes out one by one as ready which is an important aspect so you are aware of what to expect. I will say we definitely needed the server to explain some of the dishes based on the menu and wording used as it was difficult to interpret what some of the dishes were but I feel he did a great job elaborating on the menu when asked. We had the signature focaccia which was explained to have onions and tomato sauce and the La panzanella which was unbelievable !! I would literally return just to have it again, it was so fresh, flavorful and unique with burrata, red onions, sweet roasted red pepper, crisp cucumbers, and ripe tomatoes. It was so delicious with the bread we chose and it had this sweet flavor as well-- was definitely my favorite! As for entrees, I had the rigatoni all'amatriciana and my friend had tagliata di manzo. We were both satisfied with our entrees. For dessert, we had the donuts which was CIAMBELLE FRITTE. We were highly satisfied with our experience and it's wonderful to find a restaurant in Miami that actually delivers on ambiance, service, and all courses with such a simple yet sophisticated menu. Upon arriving the service with both hosts was warm and inviting. We had 5:45pm reservations and the first ones in. No one was there for atleast an hour. We were seated, our server felt like the complete opposite. We felt rushed with a disconnected demeanor. The food was tasty but it did not feel special. A lot of hype and I couldn't exactly say there was any stand out moments or dishes. Had 2 classic cocktails, dirty martini and old fashioned, meh. $23 for each cocktail, I've had better ones at Flannigans for half the price! Overall it was an underwhelmed experience, I could've had any of those options at a traditional Italian restaurant for way less. I enjoy pasta al dente but the freshly made Ravioli Di Zucca was too hard and firm. Ambiance and mood was my only take away. Restaurant inside is beautiful and music choices are fun. Our server (Mercedes shows on the ticket) unfortunately did not help our overall experience. Can finally say, we've made it to the ever popular Mother Wolf, but will not be coming back. It's a shame :( read more

When another out of town chef decided to open another spot in Miami, the thought was will this one be Good? WOW!! Mother Wolf!! Did not disappoint. The food was AMAZING! The flavors did not disappoint at all! It tasted as good as any eatery in Italy! The stuffed squash blossoms were oozing with the ricotta filling. The misticanza salad was herbaceous and refreshing. Next was the pizza funghi with white truffles which did not disappoint at all. The star of the show was the pastas. The cacio e Pepe tasted like it came out of Nona's kitchen in Bologna. That was accompanied by a spicy spaghetti Alla arrabiata. Maybe a little more cheese for those that can't handle the spice level. For secondi there was the Branzino made simple and delicious and special rib cap so expertly done it felt out of a kitchen in Florence. Finally dessert was as good as the rest: tiramisu smooth and elegant, a torta di banana with lots of flavor and a pistachio gelato tasting like it came out of Rome. The service was impeccable with the wait staff attentive at all times. Cleaning and filling the water glasses without needing to be asked. Great suggestions and attention to detail. It is definitely one of the most beautiful rooms to eat in Miami. You can see a chef prepping fresh pasta as soon as you walk in. The only drawback was the music is a little too loud If are in a group and trying to have a conversation. read more

This has become one of my favorite restaurants in Miami. The service here is always spectacular, the beautiful decorations and the food is to die for. This time I tried their branzino with the linguine a limone and it was delicious! The branzino was cooked to perfection and the linguine has become my favorite dish here. The waiter also brought us gnocchi and chocolate dessert on the house and they were very tasty. I would definitely order all of this again. To drink, I tried their version of espresso martini with tequila. Usually, I don't order this drink because I don't drink coffee but I decided to try it and it was delicious! My friend who loves espresso martini indicated that it was the best one she's had. I also tried their other tequila drink with cucumber called La Calpa and it was refreshing. When making reservations, they ask if you're celebrating anything. When I said birthdays, they included our name on the menu. I thought this was such a nice touch. I also loved seeing the chef make pasta as soon as you walk in and the grand entrance the restaurant has. This is such a great intimate spot for either a date or coming with a girl friend. I enjoyed this restaurant, but the service was fairly subpar for the price point. We waited a long time for our order to be taken and the food to come out. The food was ultimately just slightly above average in my opinion when it comes to other Italian restaurants that I have been to in the area. I will say that the bar is very nice and the inside of the restaurant is visually appealing so it gives a nice vibe/ambiance. read more

Full disclosure I'm not an Italian food fan when I go out to eat. I have a hard time justifying pasta for $35-50. But my wife loves it. The ambience is spectacular. Service was excellent, very attentive staff. My kids were sunburnt from the day and I asked if there's a local pharmacy to its location, server was very helpful. I had the fresh pasta with boars meat sauce, tasty. Wifey had the gnocchi. Focaccia & meatballs for apps. Tasty, not earth shattering. If I could give Mother Wolf six stars, I would -- this place has become one of my absolute favorites in Miami. The space is simply stunning. Sorta feels like an elevated supper club -- ideal for date night, a dinner with friends, or any special occasion. What truly elevates the experience is the service -- it's consistently amazing. We usually get a table but have sat at the bar before because we were given such great service from Oscar the bartender. Tonight we had a table and Bryant was our server, he was also amazing. Super attentive and helpful! Each time I've gone, we've been comped something - a cocktail, dessert, they really go above and beyond. Now for the food: I'm obsessed with the diavola pizza. Perfectly thin and crisp. Other stand outs are the short rib meatballs and you can't go wrong with any of their pastas! read more

We had a wonderful dinner overall. The restaurant aims for an elevated, celebratory atmosphere, and in many ways it succeeds. The host and staff were pleasant and welcoming, and our server Bryant was exceptionally knowledgeable. Service was attentive without being intrusive, our dietary restrictions were acknowledged immediately, and plates were cleared promptly. The food was flavorful and, for the most part, justified the price. The reason this is not a full five-star review comes down to a few main callouts: First, the atmosphere experienced several disruptions. Flash photography should not be allowed. We were seated at the banquette for two, and the corner table nearby was taking constant flash photos. The table to our left was doing the same. It was distracting and diminished what should have been a warm and intimate dining room. We also observed a gentleman opening a bottle of wine who then heavily sniffed the cork while it was still attached to the corkscrew, which was unusual. Wine service involves inspecting the cork separately and assessing the wine through the taste pour, especially since some guests like to keep the cork as a memento. In addition, there appears to be no dress code, guests in shorts, sneakers, and baseball caps felt out of place considering the price point and ambiance. Second, the staffing presence was overwhelming. At one point, eight employees stood directly across from us chatting, and later a group of seven or eight staff members exited a back room in a line. It was distracting and felt more like observing internal operations than simply dining..Creating a noticeable sense of crowding rather than refinement. As for the food, we enjoyed the focaccia, the special of the day ravioli with brown butter and butternut squash, the ricotta gnocchi, the skirt steak, the broccolini, and the panzanella salad. A small note: the croutons on the panzanella were unexpectedly cold and hard, which distracted from an otherwise well-prepared dish. We each had one cocktail, and our bill with the service charge came in just under four hundred dollars. It was surprising that the service charge itself was taxed rather than only the food adding an additional $10 but it is what it is. Still, the ravioli and gnocchi were clear standouts, and overall the dishes were thoughtfully prepared the skirt steak a bit small. A minor detail, but the front door slams quite hard and there is no one stationed to assist with it, which interrupts the otherwise polished rhythm of the space almost as if you're getting a tush push and door slammed on you upon leaving. Overall, if you are celebrating, this is a great spot to do so. The food, the energy, and the service all deliver, assuming you are prepared for the wallet dent. Despite the distractions, we enjoyed the experience and will certainly return to try the pizzas. The ones we saw looked delicious. read more

We had such a wonderful evening and the Miami Spice menu was so good and delicious. We got to try a little bit of everything and did it family style, to share. For appetizers we had burrata with prosciutto drizzled with olive oil and basil. Perfect combination. Chilled octopus, spring onion, cherry tomatoes, celery, cucumber salad with a green dressing. It was refreshing and the octopus was cooked perfect. For the main dishes, we were served two pastas. They were both so good! Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe and Fusilli all'Arrabbiata (tomato sauce, garlic, chili, pecorino romano).. The cacio e Pepe was creamy and flavorful. You noticed with every bite the pasta was made fresh. Loved the spicy kick from chili in the arrabbiata. We were already full by this time. The portions were great to share. Of course we made room for dessert. We had watermelon and Campari sorbet. It was so refreshing! Tiramisu was creamy and good as well. Our waitress was attentive and gave great service. The place is elegant and the staff are friendly! The restaurant is beautiful and elegant. We started off with some drinks, I had their Mama Rhea which is essentially their version of an Appletini which was fresh and not too sweet For starters a must order is their house made focaccia and the filet Mignon tartare. The focaccia is made in their brick oven topped with rosemary and their filet Mignon tartare comes served with crispy onion flakes that add a nice crunch We also tried their suppli Al teléfono, which are basically arancini croquettes that were cheesy and delicious We got a pizza to share, it was the Siciliana and it was divine. Since we were a group of 8, we opted to share plates family style which i highly recommend if you want to try multiple dishes For large plates, we ordered the branzino which was de boned and served table side. It was light, lemony and prepared elegantly For pastas, we opted for the cacio e Pepe, the Wild Boar ragú, the short rib parpadelle, the spicy fusilli, and the fettuccini al limone. You can note the freshness of the pasta complemented well by the savory sauces, although all delicious my personal favorite was the fettuccini Al limone for it's subtle creaminess with hints of citrus. Now for the best part, dessert, we ordered a few but The fan favorites were the torta di banana served with a hazelnut crumble and the straciatella gelato with chocolate chips. It was a wonderful experience with great service and quality dining, I would highly recommend! read more

I just got home from Mother Wolf and I needed to immediately share my experience because I have been disappointed by Miami's restaurant scene lately but Mother wolf surpassed my expectations. I hesitated at first to make a reservation because I've been burned before by 4-5 star reviews on this site. Mother Wolf is worth the hype. As you first come in the moody ambience is a vibe. Then your greeted by your server Axel, who was just a gem! Mother Wolf you better give this guy a raise so you can keep him there, he was nice, attentive, engaging, respectful, all these things and more! Just the nicest guy and he made the whole experience just wonderful. Now the food, we ordered the lychee cocktail (I'm not a fan of sweet cocktails but this delivered!) we had the Margherita pizza which was crunchy, but ably to do the fold, just the perfect crust. The flavor was great, it almost tasted like they added a finishing EVOO which was a nice touch. The linguine al Limone was fresh and delicious without being heavy and lastly the Branzino was the best branzino I have had in all of Miami! It has the perfect amount of seasoning. Lastly the dessert, now my mom is allergic to chocolate but, we wanted to try the tiramisu. We actually ordered the mango sherbet and someone else at the table ordered the chocolate torte. Axel decided that he was going to bring use the tiramisu without the cocoa dusting...like dude you could have just said sorry that has chocolate no can do, and he didn't he brought us the tiramisu without the cocoa on top. What a top notch guy, that is truly above and beyond. That kind of service isn't required, it truly shows what a good guy Axel is. Thank you Mother wolf for a great night and a great meal. As a Miami foodie who frequently travels to Italy, I have to say Mother Wolf delivered an experience that transported me straight to Rome on a Thursday night. I visited to celebrate my mother's birthday, and every detail exceeded my (very high) expectations. The service was truly exceptional--Jose and Federica went above and beyond to make the evening unforgettable. Their attentiveness, warmth, and professionalism were among the best I've experienced in Miami. And the food--oh, the food! Every dish was exquisite and flavorful. The presentation was impeccable, with each plate looking like a work of art. We had the fried zucchini flowers filled with ricotta, the mortadella pizza, tagliatele al ragú, cacio pepe and THREE desserts. Everything was outstanding. The Cacio e Pepe is the best one outside of Italy. The ambiance was the perfect balance of decadence and charm, making the entire dining experience feel intimate and luxurious. Mother Wolf is a rare gem in Miami's culinary scene, and it's now one of my go-to recommendations for anyone seeking an elevated Italian dining experience.
