Wonderful experience with Nick celebrating my sister's birthday! From the moment we checked in, the team right away was aware of us celebrating from my reservation note and asked who was celebrating a birthday. Seems simple, but many restaurants these days seem to miss these notes in the reservations. Nick provided wonderful recommendations amongst all the menu options. He also had fantastic recommendations on the cocktails. We ended up all going with the Miami Spice option and added a few à la carte options like the halibut, which was a strong recommendation from Nick and ended up being the groups' favorite! The sommelier (who I am terribly sorry to forget his name) also did a fantastic job recommending a wine to pair with all the different orders from our group. The team provided a little candle and small dessert to wish my sister happy birthday. My expectations of a Michelin Star restaurant is not what we experienced at Le Jardinier. Makes one question if Michelin has lost its magic... We arrived on time for our reservation made for "INSIDE SEATING" (note you will have to pay to make a reservation.) [[HIGHLIGHT]]The unfriendly hostess walked us to an outdoor table - that despite the multitude of fans - was humid and uncomfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When I told her we didn't want a table outside it seemed to bother her and her response: we are really full I won't promise you anything (eye roll) and she proceeds to walk back through the aisle of empty tables to the front desk. Behind us was a couple who arrived AFTER we did. And can you believe they were escorted without an issue to the upstairs INSIDE SEATING dining area - to the very tables they apparently did not have for us!!! I have to wonder if this was profiling or she just didn't like our face? Guess not all guest are created equal here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Forced to seat us inside after my husband showed her the reservation for INSIDE seating she "accommodates" us downstairs next to the bathrooms in a tight miniature table on uncomfortable plastic wicker chairs between two large groups where we couldn't get out of our seat and had the view of a water damaged ceiling over our heads.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After what seemed like quite a while the waiter (poor guy) came to greet us. Now this was the only highlight of this erroneous Michelin Star establishment. He seemed overworked with all the tables in that area but was polite attentive and funny. So pleasant that I wonder why he's working in this place. I had to ask for the bread that never came on its own. The drinks were ok. The food: Lobster - the pastry was soggy on the bottom and tasted slightly burnt on the outer crispy corners. The lobster was well cooked and the sauce was good but nothing spectacular. Hanger steak - the steak was very good - cooked exactly as ordered (medium rare). The sweet potato cakes crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside and the mushroom were cooked to perfection. Wish there was more of it, you get 2 sweet potato cakes the size of a strip of gum and 3 mushrooms slices. The halibut - hands down the most delicious thing on the menu. The fish was fresh and the caviar sauce was really exceptional - wish I had a spoon. Chocolate caramel - The dessert was a mix of flavor the chocolate has a tangy taste, the ice cream on the bottom was a nice surprise, however it left much to be desired - we left half on the plate. All in all the front of the house sets the tone and the horrid attitude of the hostess and the way she refused to sit us upstairs in our reserved requested dining area, soured our experience from the start. My understanding is that a Michelin Star is a highly sought status that entails the full experience of a dining establishment and I'm sorry to say they should rethink giving Le Jardinier this award in the future. I booked an indoor table at this restaurant on Saturday to celebrate my 16th anniversary with my wife. When we arrived the hostess tried to sit us outside in the heat and when we said we'd like to have seating inside she presented as if this was a huge problem. Judging by the attitude she gave us, you'd think she was paying for our meal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Instead she sat the couple behind us in the preferred upstairs area and "accommodated" us in a cramped spot between several other tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Management did nothing to correct her and the missteps with our anniversary reservations. The waiter was friendly and nice. The food was good. Unfortunately the mood had been set already. We ordered a couple of rounds of drinks and split three entrees and desert but nothing else as we really just wanted to get out of there. To be fair, our waiter was very nice and the exact opposite of the front of the house. If you want to eat well (but definitely not near the best in Miami), pay high prices and be treated like a second class citizen, this is the place for you. read more

Was excited to try Le Jardinier but unfortunately, I don't believe this is Michelin star level food. Don't get me wrong...the food, service, and ambiance were all good but nothing was great! Everyone was pretty attentive; however, one of us did go without water for a little longer than expected. As a server in fine dining myself, I understand the steps of service for this level of dining. Something's I can understand but we had one server, and I believe two SA's or maybe a back server and an SA(?) not entirely sure. It wasn't overly busy because we did get there at 12, when they first opened. There was no music for probably the first 20-30 minutes. It was a very awkward silence. My mom's menu and my menu did not have all of the same menu items, I.e. my menu said trout and hers said salmon. Our bar beverages were both mediocre. My mom got the elixir which separated within the first couple minutes. She had to keep mixing it with a dinner fork. I got the mango dream and it hardly tasted of mango. Wasn't what I was expecting at all. The drinks lacked creativity and that wow factor. The biggest thing being in the industry is "does it look instagram worthy," if not, it's not that good. So for our bar drinks, I give them a 3/10. For our food, the bread service was cute! It came with a small piece of focaccia, baguette and I'm not sure what the last one was, I was not at the table when the bread was presented. But the bread, olive oil and butter were all fantastic. No notes at all! Appetizers: I got the watermelon gazpacho and mom got the burrata. The burrata was surprisingly really good! It was carpaccio style...thinly sliced tomatoes, with roasted pine nuts, a jasmine tea infusion, I believe a bit of balsamic vinaigrette, chopped cherry tomatoes and of course, burrata. This dish was light and refreshing! My appetizer was the watermelon gazpacho, presentation wise, I was not impressed at all. The sourdough toast with Greek yogurt and chopped cherry tomatoes was the star of the dish. The gazpacho leaned a bit heavy on vinegar, not enough watermelon. It was okay overall but not my favorite: note, our SA(?) did ask if I liked it and I told her it was okay. She asked me what exactly I wasn't a fan of and I did tell her it tasted too vinegary but i wasn't interested in getting anything else and it wasn't a big deal. Entrees: I got the pappardelle pasta and mom got the carnaroli risotto. The pappardelle was actually fantastic! The pasta was fresh and prepared al dente. The sauce wasn't too salty and didn't lack in flavor. It had roasted artichokes, which personally, I would have loved mushrooms instead but that's a personal preference. I will say, if you're super hungry, this dish is not very heavy. I do not eat a crazy amount, so the portion for me was perfect. The carnaroli risotto, this was the only thing I couldn't try because of the crab but my mom said it was really good. Inside the risotto was leeks, yuzu and fresh lemon. That said, my mom's only note on this dish was that it was a bit too much citrus. We got the brussel sprouts which were good but we both were too fully to truly eat them. Desert: I got the strawberry eclair which was part of the Miami spice menu. It was either that, sorbet and plant based ice cream, or for an additional $10 the caramel sabayon. We were going to order desert off their normal menu options but we were too full by this point. The eclair was just that, a strawberry eclair. It wasn't amazing or special and you could tell they created this dish for the Miami spice menu specifically. Overall, I give food taste (collectively) 8/10 and presentation a 7/10. Back to service, after each meal, everything was prebussed and reset, which I love. One of my biggest pet peeves is having dirty silverware. Also, each time plates were removed, the table was fully crumbed off. Once we were completely done, literally only two water cups and one almost empty cocktail, we waited for at least 15 minutes for our server to finally come and check on us. He had walked by multiple times without saying anything. He was getting other things for other tables, so again, being in fine dining, I get it but he very easily could have dropped off our check while passing by for another table. My mom, also in the industry mentioned that he may have been super busy but I had a different view than she did and noticed multiple times, our check could have been dropped off. It was just weird how long it too to have someone come by after we were completely done. So for me service was a 7/10. It was good but not great, which would push them into the 8-10 range. When we were paying our bill, we noticed a 20% automatic gratuity included on the check...I guess this is common practice for Miami. Overall, I give our experience a 7/10. This was such an amazing lunch find and I wish I lived in the area so I could eat here every season. A three course lunch for $58 was an absolute treat. Each course was thoughtfully designed and was delicious at every bite. I especially loved the crudo and dessert. This was my first time having crudo with a coconut milk base and it was to die for. The dessert had so many different textures, you could tell lots of artistry went into creating it. While I've had many salmon dishes, I'd never had it sous vide. It comes out almost a medium rare texture and is very soft, not the typical flaky style, but it was very well accompanied by the sauce and crispy skin. This is my second time at Le jardinier and my first time was amazing. I came back for the spice this time for dinner. The food was very good and flavorful. I have a type of dairy allergy and they were giving me a bit of a hard time with not putting the dairy sauces on the plate. For a Michelin star restaurant this was a bit surprising and annoying as I wasn't asking to change the dish I was just asking to not have the sauce on top of the dish. They were out of a cocktail on the menu and replaced it with a cosmo that had blue curaçao in it that was served not in a martini glass. For my appetizer, I selected the Burrata, which was smooth and creamy. Both my guest and I selected the pork tenderloin with bacon and caramelized apple for our entrée. The pork was moist and flavorful. We tried the tropical tart with passionfruit and mango as well as the coconut lime basil meringue for dessert. My favorite was the tropical tart. Le Jardinier has earned a star from Michelin. We really loved the Barata appetizer, the mushroom Ragu pasta was absolutely delicious and the desserts seriously blew us away. Second time here I thought the food was excellent but the portions on the tasting menu ($140 pp) were tiny and this is my first time having any tasting menu and leaving hungry. The menu on their website for celebration of autumn shows $85 but that is not offered in the restaurant. One upsetting issue was my allergy was listed on reservation, my allergy was confirmed by waiter and he was sure that none of plates included my allergen and then it was then served to me! This is a mistake that I don't appreciate. Half way through our dinner our waiter disappeared and a new girl took over without introducing herself and without explanation. A Michelin Star experience for a three course meal for only $35 - count me in! We tried the Miami Spice menu which includes an appetizer, entree and dessert. The burrata Salad served with star fruit and pistachios was a good start to the meal, the mushroom ragu was also alright, I was hoping for more flavor, the beef tenderloin wrapped in bacon with a sauce was really good. I was super hyped to try this place as I missed coming here during my last trip to Miami. I love a good French Michelin restaurant but this place just doesn't meet the mark. The lackluster experience started with an extremely rude and disinterested hostess who was clearly annoyed. She did nothing to welcome me to the restaurant which set the tone for the rest of the meal. The decor is so extremely 1990s Miami and the bar aesthetics are so off putting. The like green chairs were also so incredibly uncomfortable and odd shaped it made it hard to eat dinner in them. As for the food it was lackluster at best. There was no innovation in the tasting menu and frankly the dishes were ones I've tried 100 times over (and better) at non Michelin establishments. The portion size on the beef bavette for the prix fixe menu was kind of a joke, $18 extra dollars, and you get 3 tiny pieces... Everyone liked their desserts. I was really excited to try this place because it is a Michelin star restaurant, but honestly it was a huge letdown. The food is extreamly pretty but just was not good. One of the starters was pork, and it arrived raw. On top of that, the flavors simply did not work. Worse, while the rest of the table had already eaten, we had to wait another hour just to get the pork replaced. Desserts were equally disappointing, bland with no sweetness, tartness, or any real flavor. The one that was supposedly their best (and cost extra) tasted like grocery store ice cream with crumbled Oreos and a tasteless foam. Nothing about it was memorable. Service was slow, with nearly an hour between each course. The staff was not attentive, and when the check came the bill was shockingly high for what we got. The first time we came here we did a stupid mistake of ordering a burger and items that were not on their seasonal menu, they were good don't get me wrong but next time we came we chose the seasonal menu and had the waiter make the recommendation (honestly next time i come i will blindly take their recommendation) we got the hallibut and oh boy was it the best dish we had! EXQUISITE!! Everything about this place is magnificent! We came here for lunch during Art Basel. The weather was beautiful, so we sat in their lovely outdoor patio (which is covered); however, the interior design is simply stunning. They have a $39 seasonal prix fixe lunch, which we opted for. Items ordered were the cauliflower veloute, the salad (not pictured) and the sea bass crudo. Of the two starters that I sampled, the crudo looked the most magical and the veloute tasted the best. Smoky, creamy, unctuous! For mains, we had the beef (not pictured), the salmon and the risotto. The risotto was thick and luxurious, and the salmon was meltingly delicious. I didn't try the beef, but it was consumed in its entirety, so I can imagine was delightful! For dessert, we had the fig (not pictured), the caramel sabayon and the butterfly. The butterfly was worthy of a (Paul) Hollywood handshake! Just gorgeous, with a light, fruity flavor. The sabayon was rich and flavorful. The service was excellent - attentive without being invasive. Unfortunately i was extremely disappointed with our experience. We decided to go to Le Jardinier for our anniversary during lunch (so we had sometime but not all day). We arrived at 12:10, only two other people there at the time, we sat it took a while for them to come so we were ready to order. The first plate salads they messed up our order, eventually brought out the correct order. Then at 1:15pm over an hour later they came to tell us my husbands plate was not available. At that point we had been there over an hour and only had salad, we didn't have time to wait for yet another plate to be made. They brought out my plate which was ok (not overly flavorful), i request ed to take my desert packaged. We waited 15 minutes after paying our bill for it, it never came so i left without it as we both had to get back to work. I was disappointed, definitely a sour experience for an anniversary and for a so called "Michelin" star restaurant. Definitely was expecting much more, it felt like they were very green as opposed to a seasoned opened restaurants, lots of hiccups in the service and communication. Lovely dining experience at Le Jardinier for a "Friendsgiving" soiree. Warm greeting upon arrival. Loved the live jazz music by Ben on Weds which definitely made for a very charming evening. I truly love how he serenaded the whole restaurant. I enjoyed the Lolita cocktail drink immensely! 5 stars! My appetizer was the ROASTED BEET SALAD, PISTACHIO GREMOLATA, GOAT CHEESE, MINT OIL - Delicious!! My main course was the PACIFICO BLACK BASS, FENNEL-POMEGRANATE SALAD, CITRUS - I enjoyed my fish which was nice and light and not overly seasoned. This place capped off a really excellent food experience during our trip to Miami. I planned this trip for GF's birthday and, being Michelin restaurant bitches, thought reserving a table at a Michelin star restaurant for the birthday dinner would be a nice touch. This was one of the very, very few restaurants in that category that has vegetarian options. We arrived after a quicker-than-expected trip from our South Beach hotel. I had actually changed the reservation from 7pm to 6:30pm because we are more granny-esque than I like to admit and this change was easy and painless. It's hard to miss because as you are approaching, it's the jungle in the corner of that outdoor mall. They went all out in the foliage department which provided a refreshing source of oxygen. They have a nice outdoor space but, given the August weather, I reserved a table inside. The indoors is also super unique and cool with a modern art deco vibe. The chairs are very cool and SPIN which is dangerous if you have difficulties sitting still like I do. I couldn't believe all of our dining neighbors and their ability to sit in these chairs WITHOUT spinning back and forth. Kudos. The service was excellent. We were checked on very frequently. No waiting-for-literally-anyone hostage situations here. Drink menu was top notch. I started with something that had vanilla in it, served in a quaint nick and Nora glass. This was tasty but nothing compared to the summer passion GF ordered with tequila, ginger liqueur, passion fruit, lime, agave, cucumber jalapeño that was yellow and SPECTACULAR. Full disclosure, if your nose is as large as mine, there is some pepper garnish on top that will continuously attach itself to your nose after every sip. For the second found, I couldn't resist ordering that summer shit, GF switched it up and went with the One Spritz with ketel one cucumber and mint, st germain, watermelon, and Prosecco. Very refreshing and bubbly with a strong watermelon flavor. We both went with the Miami Spice 3 course option. I went with all of the vegetarian selections (beet salad and pappardelle). GF ordered the other options (salmon tartare with caviar, pacific striped bass). The beet salad was a nice contrast between beets and creamy whipped goat cheese. The pappardelle was FANTASTIC. The noodles were the perfect texture, the zucchini pesto was delicious, one of the better pestos I have had recently. When asked what GF thought of hers she says, "I thought it was delicious, you know that, was that a question?" For dessert, we were both served some thing I can't even describe but did contain something that resembled the cookie part of a macaron with coconut whipped cream and a bunch of meringue-like things. I usually don't leave Yelp reviews for places I try when traveling but I felt motivated enough to share my thoughts for this one. I am honestly puzzled why this place has a Michelin star. The first thing I noticed when coming in was how dirty the chairs were. You'd think for a fine dining restaurant they'd bother switching out the stained fabric chairs for something nicer. Service was also incredibly slow. I only tried the Miami Spice menu, and in my experience restaurant week menus usually are way worse than a restaurant's actual quality of food. Therefore my review may be subjective. The plating was terrible and sloppy. The food was also underwhelming. Highlights were I did like the salmon and the dash of lemon. It was on the oily side but still fairly well cooked. The linguine was also great, I felt the quality of the pasta was more in line with my expectations. Dessert was unremarkable. It was too sweet but not bad at least. The non alcoholic cucumber drink just tasted like a worse version of green juice and that was from their regular menu. Thus, again, I really don't understand why this place even has a Michelin star. read more

Extremely disappointed at this restaurant. And to be honest, confused on how they got their Michelin star. Made a reservation to try out during Miami spice offering. Sat in their terrace area which was humid and hot. The service was OK , but the food was nothing to write home about. When the highlight of the menu is the free bread you know there's something wrong. I'm glad I got to try it, but I don't see myself going back . read more

This gazpacho was the first gazpacho ive ever had and without realizing was the best gazpacho ill ever have. Nowhere does the gazpacho taste as good as it does here (trust me ive ordered gazpacho in hopes that itll taste like this one whenever its on the menu, yet none compare) Everything that arrived at our table was delicious, its no secret why this restaurant has a collection of michelin stars. The service was nice and never felt rushed despite how busy this place gets! I do find the decor interesting and love the concept but i think they can keep some of the art deco vibes while remodeling and keeping it tasteful! cannot recommend this place enough, i will consider this a must have for people visiting miami. read more

Located in the Design District Miami, Michelin Star @lejardiniermiami is a culinary journey. We were delighted to try their new "Celebration of Spring" menu by Chef the Cuisine @chefpasco88. What a masterclass dinner service! For now, lets talk about the cocktails and starters, shall we? Started with the Burrata with Peach and Blackberry dish. What a beauty! The freshest burrata Ive ever tasted, honestly. Then followed by the exquisitely prepared Snapper Crudo and Melon Gazpacho. We were both in awe! But wait there's more. We also had the perfectly cooked Seared Scallops. So fresh and flavorful. It was simply to die for. While indulging in these apps, I highly suggest to try their signature cocktails. Each concoction is carefully crafted and I guarantee that you'll be impressed. I highly suggest the Le Petit Croissant, Mrs Bong, Fraise Tomate, and the Celebre. All are served in a low ball with crystal a clear cube and pretty garnish. The flavor profiles are so different from one another and we enjoyed every single one of them. Well balanced and not too sweet. Moving on to the entrees and desserts. We started the Farro Risotto and Im a big fan of all risottos but this creation was on another level. Perfect texture and flavor was out of this world. We also share the Wagyu Bavette and the Dorade. Now this is a surf n turn at its best. Steak was cooked too perfection and the fish was flaky and moist with a beautiful skin. First time trying Dorade and it tasted very clean and pretty meaty too. Together with baby leeks and hazelnut gremolata, my mouth was dancing. We also had the Roasted Corn Succotash and Truffle Fries. Both were highly addictive, especially the corn. Mind blown! As for dessert, we shared the seasonal Pear Crème Brûlée and the beautiful Carrot Cake, Cream Cheese Pandan Cotta. That Crème Brûlée was over the top. Not too sweet and just melted in my mouth. The Carrot Cake was a work of art. This is not your ordinary carrot cake. It was a masterpiece. (Look at my pics) We really enjoyed our visit here. From the service, ambiance and food. Chef Christian Pasco revamped the menu to another level with a Miami twist. His execution and presentation are truly remarkable and will make any patron to come back for more. Love this place. The salmon was very tasty and was cooked exactly how I requested. The gaspacho was good but nothing super special. If you come for Miami spice, the profiterole is really delicious. Miami Spice at Le Jardinier in Miami Design District which is a Michelin Star restaurant We had the pleasire of trying every dish on the miami spice menu since we were a larger group. Overall service was 10/10 and food was too! My favorite dishes were the Melon Gazpacho to start which theu poured for us fresh at the table. Followed bh the Pan seared salmon which was cooked to perfection with extra crispy skin and well seasoned Orzo. For dessert there was one option of the summer flower profiterole which the whole table enjoyed it was on the very sweet side. Overall i reccomend! The portions are definitely on the smaller side but we were satisfied at the end of the meal. read more

Food was creative, thoughtful, and utterly delicious. We decided to order a la carte because there were just too many yummy things on the menu to try. What we ordered: ceviche, petit greens salad, and octopus for appetizers. Each individually incredibly prepared with the sauces to die for. It is clear that a lot of labor went into making each sauce and I thoroughly appreciated all. Had scallops and lobster for the entrees, both good but scallops slightly on top for me. Lobster came with homemade pasta and had a warming spice that reminded me of a fall dessert. Was celebrating a birthday and they made wonderful accommodations for dessert. Best coffee ice cream with a very strong, slightly bitter, and not too sweet flavor. Would come back to try the changing seasonal items. read more
