Decided to pick up some additional mini challah loaves $6 to freeze and take back for family's Christmas. Also ordered the maple syrup winter squash cinnamon roll $8. It was heated and delicious. Could not leave without trying the chocolate chip cookies just $2. I was persuaded by MR two are better than one and now I have one for the road. It was insanely delicious and worthy of another trip soon! "Duckling" ordered a Mediterranean toast which was also excellent. Seating is plentiful if you arrive early enough. The staff was super friendly and I loved the organic options for alternative milks, coffees, teas and smoothies. They also have granola bowls available which I enjoyed, and a few pastries. My matcha was made with oatmilk and was really good, not too sweet. I heard there's a cat around but unfortunately I didn't see it :( Another huge bonus about this cafe is that they are open until 10pm on weekdays! This might become a new evening study spot for me! Not only did we use Yelp but we backed up our decision with a google search and that took us to Reddit. Equiano was a top suggestion on both sites. And we understand why. The service was 100% top notch. Helpful. Friendly and knowledgeable, not only about what they offered but about the regions best shops! The coffee itself was very expressive. The Camaroon was totally my style with an earthier tone and the Chai was delightful. The outdoor seating was so very comfortable with a unique sort of panache that I would love to have at my neighborhood coffeeshop. The raked gravel was a nice touch. And even though they didn't have indoor seating with the drizzly day, it was a highlight that I will be repeating in our future travels.

It was super busy when I visited around 9:45am on a Monday, so you know they're good. I was greeted immediately and placed my order quickly. The girl working the register was super helpful and friendly. I wanted to try the seasonal banana bread cold brew, but I can't have caffeinated drinks so I asked if it could be made decaf. She said she can do it as a decaf latte instead and I agreed. It is SO good! It's sweet, but not overwhelmingly so. You can taste banana and cinnamon, perfectly balanced. I was worried the banana flavor would be fake tasting but it's not, it tastes like real bananas. I also got the Sasquatch sushi because I had to know what it was and it was amazing. It's a pbj with banana, in sushi form! It's such a cool idea and tasted fantastic. My partner was also super entertained by it and he loved it too. I got the Sunbreak breakfast sandwich and it was delicious. Everything I had here today was fantastic! I love this little cafe and will absolutely be back. I already recommended them to two of my friends as well. Go here, you won't regret it!

I'm going to try the matcha next, but the ube with espresso was excellent. Friendly, fairly quick service, cute Eugene vibe shop.
