As you walk through the gates of the "compound" there is a large garage door opened with someone loading up a delivery truck. I couldn't see where to go. I finally saw that the actual shop was to the left. When I get into the shop, no one to be found anywhere. Waited for a few minutes then had to call someone on the phone who was inside the other building to come help me. Love their coffee but the latte I had today was very subpar. Came here on a fluke just to poke my head in and kill time cause my daughters school is right across the street. On weekdays they only sell beans and growlers. However they have Nitro Cold brew and Nitro tea on tap for FREE! Strong, Bold and delicious! I ended up coming home with a growler of their cold brew. Moschetti's roastery came on my radar while having breakfast at a country cafe in Sonoma. They offered two different, serve yourself brews, so it only made sense to taste both. After my first cup of smooth yet intense brew, I needed more. A second cup, and I was totally enamored. They gave me the name of their local roaster, Moschetti, and the quest was on. We found their little roastery in the middle of nowhere. There was a big food truck parked in front and a large warehouse behind, their shipping doors wide open, the equipment in full view as well as huge bags of exotic, unroasted beans stacked on palates and shelves. From the looks and smell of things, I felt we had just found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. The roaster was in a portable storage unit that sat in their small parking lot. And the freshly roasted and bagged beans were displayed on a wired shelf. So many choices, we had no idea the scope of this operation. I was not leaving without enough coffee beans to keep me up at night for several months. Thus, we left with 6 lbs. and you can imagine, our car smelled heavenly. Then, the following day, Mr. B contacted them and ordered 2 more bags to be shipped to our house, and only because they had none of that particular bean in stock on the day we visited. My heart is still pounding. Ironic. Here we were in wine country. We bought 2 bottles of wine, but we bought 8 bags of coffee. We are not normal. But we are drinking very well. Came here after work because I was sleepy. Have you ever sat through a meeting and gone through 3 strong cups of coffee within an hour and still dying? Either the meeting was an effective antidote for alertness or the coffee wasn't strong enough. Because of the yelp reviews I decided to stop by this place. Moschetti is a coffee roaster not a retail coffee store.. Yes you can get sample espresso and coffee but their value proposition is getting you some of the best beans available anywhere. Saturday is a happening. Outside they have live music and various vendors selling food items. Inside the garage you will be greeted by more than ten coffee jugs with various coffee. Experts will help guide you through the maze and prepare various espresso shots to tempt your palette. We bought two different pounds of coffee for a reasonable $13 per pound. I have tried several Bay Area roasters and this one pleases me the best. The coffee tasted as good at home as it did in the store. They have the most expensive coffee brewer I have ever seen at 5,000. Several customers told me it brewed better coffee than I have ever tasted. Unfortunately it was being cleaned from a small espresso oops so I guess we will try some other day. If you want a special latte with extra milk, foamed hard and shaken three times upside down you would be better served by a store with a green and white logo. If you want to talk with coffee experts that can guide you and give samples to help your purchase selection then give Moschetti a try. I doubt you will be disappointed. read more

All you can drink coffee for FREE!! WHAT!! Yup that's what they offer here every Saturday. When I was reading reviews I was thinking maybe 5 tastings. Too my surprise they had 31 different types of coffee, brewed tea and Coffee Nitro. Fill up your cup all the way to the rim or just take a few sips here and there. Whole milk and various flavors of chocolate syrups are available to add to your drink. They don't offer soy or almond milk, if you don't drink your coffee black, make sure to bring some from home. Before we arrived, I already had one cup of coffee. By the time I tasted 3 types of coffee. My head was spinning. Major caffeine rush. Once we were done tasting we bought a bag of our favorite flavor. This is the only time you can actually buy the whole or grounded beans from them. The cost range from $14-$20 a bag. They also offer pastries, where you grab one and put a "donation" in the box to pay for it. Plenty of outdoor seating, be prepared to park in the dirt or in our case mud. The parking is very limited. They also have a Mexican food truck, in case you need some substance with that coffee. If you are a coffee n00b. Ah, Moschetti. There's a reason why this coffee roaster is beloved by so many in Vallejo and the Bay Area! Unpretentious, relaxing, and so, so chill -- whether you want to sit outside with your dog, meet up with friends, chat with coffee fanatics or noobs, shop local vendors, read a book, play cards, or just sit there and people watch, you can do it all over a cup (or five) of free coffee. Every time I've been here, there are people of all ages and backgrounds, and it's always welcoming. First, getting here. There's a small parking lot available but I usually find it more of a headache to try and find a spot... We usually avoid the madness and just go for street parking off of Solano Ave. As you enter, there's a big patio area with seating, vendors lining the edges, and the coffee samples are inside their warehouse area toward the back. There are usually at least 20 types of coffees to try, all with helpful signs that tell you about the roast, acidity level, body, and tasting/flavor notes. I'm really not a coffee expert, so these signs are super helpful in helping me identify what I do/don't like about each roast! (Tip: take pictures of your favorite roast so you remember next time!) If you want to learn more about any of the coffees, the guys here are phenomenal and have so much knowledge to share. Paper cups are available, but I recommend bringing your own mug or thermos. And I will warn that it's REALLY easy to overload on caffeine ;) So pace yourself! Especially on your first visit, I'd suggest sampling tiny amounts of each brew first before settling on a full cup of something you really like. Don't forget to look around the edges of the room too. Sometimes there are reserve batches of coffee in the far back corner, and there are also taps to pour your own nitro coffee and tea near the entrance. Despite the yelp listed hours, the Sign outside states they are open 0730-1700 Tuesday to Saturday! Interior was clean, light and bright. Enough tables and bar stools to stay and enjoy your coffee. Staff was pleasant and made my latte fast. Taste: boy that espresso is strong! But very good. Peets and starbucks dont compare to local coffee shops. Overall, what a pleasant surprise. I expected a dingy shop (we are in vallejo). They apparently offer nitro brew! Have to try that next time. Took off one star bc they have the paper straws.
