Love Morton's! The service is always great and I am a huge fan of the chicken bianco dish. That being said, the steaks are either a hit or a miss. If I do get a steak there, I tend to go for a rib-eye because they tend to be juicer and tender and the leaner cuts can sometimes be a little on the dry side. read more

I am not a big fan of eating at chain restaurants, there are very few exceptions, and those too come around a couple of times a year. Having said that, there are a few high-end chains which I do like, Morton's however....isn't one of them. While the service is always polite & efficient, the food is nothing exceptional compared to the price they charge. I've had way better food in the same price. Tried this location once, never felt like coming back. read more

Filet mignon is amazing and the mash is unreal. Diane the server is outstanding!!!! I would come here every weekend if I could!!! read more

I took my husband here to celebrate his birthday last weekend and everything was hit! We usually go to the one in great neck or the city but we decided to check out what NJ has to offer. It was really good. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly and it had the right amount of salt. For sides, we had the the cream spinach, the lobster Mac & cheese (delicious), and the Brussels Sprouts. For desert!!! I would really recommend the chocolate mousse . Sooooo darn delicious. Will definitely be visiting again. read more

Birthday dinner here with my honey. Our steaks were awesome. Ordered it Oscar style with the lump crab meat and asparagus. Mine also came with a delicious lobster tail and had the garlic mashed potatoes as a side. Absolutely nothing to complain about. Our server, Claire was also great. Very helpful, knowledgeable and all around great person. I loved that the place was very low key. I received a complimentary birthday menu to keep with my name and date on it. Also received a delicious complimentary desert. No big fuss. An all around great experience. Will definitely return! read more

So I decided to try out mortons and see for myself what they're about since most people seem to have a love/hate relationship with it. I'm a big steak fan so I was optimistic. I'm sorry to say I left this place very disappointed. The steaks were OK at best, definitely not memorable. Just not worth the price at all. On the plus side the service is great. Always fun seeing the steaks and seafood get rolled out on the cart and presented to you. read more

I enjoyed the private entrance lobby from the parking lot (access via stairs or elevator). Once inside I advised them of my reservation they looked up the reservation and kindly greeted my wife with a "Happy Birthday". We were shown to our booth the greeter then pulled the table out allowing us to sit then slid the table back. The waiter took a photo of us then a staff member stopped by with our printed photo within a Morton's folder with a handwritten "Happy Birthday" to my wife from the restaurant. We began to review the menu and noticed that it had Happy Birthday with my wife's name printed on it, a very nice touch. The jumbo lobster cocktail appetizer with dipping sauces was awesome, very fresh. My fillet mignon and my wife's porterhouse was very tasted and cooked exactly as we requested. The grilled asparagus and mashed potatoes (with sour cream) was a great addition. The ambiance was dim and very romantic. The staff was very attentive including the varies managers. Although you pay for the meal (and the service) it is definitely worth it for special occasions. Their attention to detail is awesome. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. read more

This is definitely an expensive place to eat. I recommend if for anniversaries or special occasions if you have the money. We went on a Wednesday night and had made reservations ahead of time. However, we still had a long wait for the server to come take our orders and even longer for the food. It was an okay one time experience, but I don't think I would go very often because of the price and wait. read more

My husband and I recently went to Morton's because I had been craving it and he wanted steak. We took some money we had been saving for a special occasion and made the decision to splurge. What a disappointment. I have been to Morton's a handful of times over the years. Always treated with courtesy, shown and explained all the cuts of meat, and been catered to almost excessively. This time was much different. We were seated in one of the private rooms because of overflow. It was depressing and isolating. We were not shown any meats or told about specials. It took the waitress half a loaf of bread to come get drink or food orders. My medium well steak was brought to me medium rare, but I couldn't send it back because she did not come back in the foreseeable future. When receiving the steak I asked for ketchup which I did not receive until I was almost done eating. The mashed potatoes were pointless in taste. She never asked us how our meal was by checking in. We got the check, swallowed paying way too much for an, at best, decent meal, and went our way. I will never be returning to Morton's. There are too many better options. The end of an era. read more

We came here for my boyfriends birthday. All I really wanted was something simple, a candle in the dessert we ordered. They went above and beyond. They personalized menus for us and printed happy birthday josh at the top and took a picture for us. They desert was also free for the birthday. We didn't order any appetizers. For dinner I had the 8oz filet and he had the ny strip steak. His steak was cooked perfectly but mine was a little undercooked to my liking so I sent it back which they fixed and gave us extra asparagus as an apology. The asparagus should have been trimmed a little more (they left the fibrous ends on) but the garlic mashed potatoes were fantastic. For dessert we both ordered the "baked to order"..he got the apple dish and I got the chocolate souffle..now the souffle wasn't bad but wasn't fantastic either is was good. The apple dish was horrific...Too sweet to where you couldn't even tell it was an apple. Service was fantastic...we has Christopher and he explained everything and was very prompt and efficient. So why not 5 stars? They forgot the candle read more

The service and the food are both outstanding! The manager, Joe, is terrific. Besides Joe, a new manager named Joanne has always stopped by our table to chat and make sure everything is great. She's exceptional! Jillian is also a wonderful Mgr. The specials are great! Morton's is part of the Landry company. Become a member for $25 and they'll send you a $25 gift certificate to use so membership is actually free. You get free dessert on your birthday and $25 off each time you spend $250. The promotions are phenomenal like tonight we had a price fixe meal for $55 each which included an appetizer, entree, side and dessert. We had an awesome waitress named Ashley tonight. My husband always tells people that they treat you like royalty! It's true! We love this place! read more

I really wish I could say that this establishment did justice with my meal considering it took 2 hours to eat. The server was seemingly nice when he took our drink orders. Our drinks took about 20-30 minutes to come out after we ordered them. At this point we had already ordered our appetizers and then the staff bring out our salads. As we finished our salads the staff began to bring out our main course. At this point we had not received our appetizers aside from our salads and we were confused as to what happened to them. The manager kindly informed us that the server never put in our appetizers. They brought our main course back to the kitchen and assured us that they would discard of them and start fresh after we received our appetizers. We received the appetizers and our expectations were already low but the seafood was very underwhelming as the lobster was extremely tough. When we finally received our entrees after 1 hour of waiting (mind you we were one of the few tables in the restaurant) a majority of the steaks were cold and we had to send back a few. I will give credit to server/manager that took over our table because she was very hospitable and competent. As for our first server, he hid in the back the entire time until our meal was finished read more

Having been to some really incredible steakhouses, franchises always make me just a little nervous. I have to say though that Mortons does a great job from the moment you walk in. Host/hostess very welcoming. One we sat down, we were a party of 5 and were in no rush and they let us take our time ordering. Very friendly and accommodating wait staff as well. Cocktails I was disappointed with. I'm a big fan of a good dirty martini. I go gin, usually Hendricks or aviation with blue cheese olives so it's not a complicated drink but was underwhelming. The appetizers were good. Got the tuna tower which was very good. Also got the crab cakes which were very tasty. I got the bone in rib eye which was very good. Perfectly medium rare, how I like it. Overall it was a great dinner experience. Never felt rushed, never felt like we had to wait to get a new drink or bottle. Great service top to bottom. read more

The ambiance is great and whoever is the Chef can cook. The drinks were nice and strong. I enjoyed every minute.

Great food, drinks, service, and ambience. I highly recommend going here. Steaks were cooked perfect, nice choice of specialty drinks

Visited October 28th, 2015 So we'd joined Landry's Select Club several months ago and had a couple of reward points to use up. We weren't 'crazy' hungry so we did not have any appetizer or dessert. We did order their porterhouse steak for 2... a side of sour mashed potatoes and their Brussel sprouts. Everything was really very good, if somewhat 'plain.' The sauteed Brussel sprouts with caramelized onions and bacon were very good, but the sour cream mashed potatoes needed a little salt. (I like all of my potatoes (french fried, baked even mashed) 'salty', but that's just me. The steak too needed more "something." When I make a steak at home (charcoal fire only!) I season it with salt, pepper and some garlic, either rubbed on or garlic salt. The quality of the meat was terrific... I can't say it wasn't... it just needed (for me) a bit more salt/pepper added. Then again... the chef may be thinking "better too little than too much" as far as the salt goes. Kinda hard to take the salt off once it's been put on. One can always add more if 'one' desires. Everything was really very good... I can't complain about the quality of the food. The service was also very very good. My only complaint would be the prices they have. No need for them to be so ridiculously high. read more

I reserved my birthday dinner at this establishment (Hackensack NJ) and was refused service by the head manager due to my driving license being expired. Due to the current pandemic I was unable to renew it however it is a valid ID with my picture and date of birth. I had an awful experience, my birthday dinner was ruined and I will be taking my business somewhere else. read more

I loved the buttery rich steak that melted and sang in my mouth. To even think about A1 Steak Sauce is blasphemy. Our waiter was attentive and professional- to the point that we felt bad that he had to recite the entire menu, even though that's apparently the Morton policy of presenting food. It's a great, old-fashioned steak house without the stuffiness. And guess what, no one raises his eyebrows when you ask to doggy bag the rest. read more

Almost always sit at the bar if it's before 630p or after 930p. This place has the most amazing happy hour. $8 for tuna tacos, a filet trio, sliders or four filet sandwiches?! Yes, please. PS Jerry the bartender rocks read more

Took some clients here last night and the service and food was outstanding. I also don't like that Morton's does everything ala carte, but that's Morton's no matter where you go. the restaurant needs an updated decor, asap. The waiter was friendly and gave a nice table side display, poor lobster! The sides were nothing memorable, the desserts was a generic spread (fyi I did not get any of the baked item). HOWEVER! steak, not too bad at all. I got the cajun ribeye, I was hesitant because I'm a purest when it comes to my beef. if its aged its got flavor theres no need to cover it in any marinade or sauce, etc. However on this night I wanted a bit of heat. the steak was cooked perfectly, medium rare and crusted well. There was nothing wrong with it, but nothing spectacular. the cajun marinade was delightful and offered a twist to the steak. would I come back, no. The prices were too steep for the experience. Otherwise I had an A-OK experience. read more

Came here on Aug 13 for national filet mignon day. I was there for 2 reasons and 2 reason only....Filet sliders and martinis. They offered the sliders for $1 a piece which was an unbelievable price. Although the first one i had was tasty and tender the 2nd and 3rd were poorly undercooked, almost raw. I understand they were probably selling hundreds of them on that day but would have been nice to keep a little standard and qq. The martini was perfectly made, so much that i had another. +1 to the bartender he was busy but attentive. The atmosphere defiantly needs some sprucing as it is outdated. I am happy i came for this but wouldn't come back just for the sliders or the other bar food. read more

First time dining here. I had the short ribs which were good and a side of brussels sprouts which were yummy. My husband had the honey glazed salmon which he enjoyed; I had a bite and it was yummy. For dessert we shared the apple crisp that was so delicious. The service was great too. We'd definitely return to dine again. read more

Took my boyfriend here for his birthday. They greeted my boyfriend with a Happy Birthday as soon as I told them my name which was nice. The host area seemed rather frantic though and it took them a few minutes to gather themselves to seat us for some reason even though we had reservations. Our waiter was attentive for the most part and helpful with suggestions. We shared the Tuna Tower which is probably my favorite part of the entire meal. My boyfriend and I both ordered the Prime Ribeye Steak, his done medium rare and mine medium. They were both cooked exceptionally well. Their wine selection was also pleasant. My only complaint is when we first ordered our meals, the waiter let us know that since it was my boyfriend's birthday, we would receive a complimentary dessert but it does take a while to have the dessert ready so we should order in advance, which we did as soon as he took our initial order. We ended up waiting 30 minutes for our dessert anyway... At the very end we received a lovely custom birthday card with our picture on it. read more

The service was very slow with a dining room that wasn't full. The wagyu meatballs were good as an app, 2 meatballs with ample sauce. The Prime Porterhouse was savorful and delightful and something I highly recommend. However let's get to the bad... The $18 cocktails were watered down like a virgin daqueri. The "trademark" Prime Cajun Ribeye was more burnt than my Miami trip without sunblock and saltier than the way I left the restaurant. Seriously so much salt. After we mentioned twice how bad it was, our server politely offered us a complimentary dessert which we politely declined as the rib-eye left us with a lack of appetite. He then offered us complimentary coffee which we accepted, we ordered a double espresso and a coffee. 25 minutes later I received a cold single espresso and a diner-esque coffee from a portable pot. After asking for the check multiple times for over 30 minutes we departed leaving unfulfilled and wishing Houston's reservations weren't fully booked that night. read more

My first time here and had a great experience. I came for lunch with friends and had Jenna as my server. I'd give her 10 stars if I could. She's so nice and attentive. She knows everything about the place so it makes choosing your meal/drink way easier. I highly recommend the Gouda and bacon potatoes. And the Cajun ribeye.. a-ma-zing. Ambiance is very nice, dim lighting. I'll definitely be back. read more

I have dined at other Morton's locations before. My co-captain & I went to this location for an early dinner. The dining room was quiet. I ordered something other than my usual filet mignon, I had the filet mignon & shrimp. Both were perfect. Salad was standard, as was the sides. The chocolate cake was wonderful and it went well with the 20 year old tawny port. Yes, it was an expensive dinner, but absolutely worth it. read more

Usually a home run - great service and great steaks, however on Wednesday, despite the $500 check, we were served the two (2) worst steaks every. Didn't complain, but buyer beware, the cuts have gotten considerably worse. Its unfortunate because they use be the standard. Perhaps they don't realize that the Capital Grille and Ruth Chris are within 3 miles down the Rt. 17 read more

Pretty good steaks. Morton's seems to be one of the better ones from the corporate steakhouses. I had the ribeye and it was pretty good. I would go here if you dont feel like trekking all the way into the city and are craving some prime steak. Good though expensive place to go. read more

Morton's is an absolutely perfect restaurant- there was not a single thin that was un pleasing about it! First of all, appetizers. They were amazing!! We had the shrimp cocktail and ahi tuna tower. The shrimp was devine! You could literally taste the freshness of it, and the dipping sauce was delicious! The presentation was amazing-- it came out with fog shooting everywhere! The ahi tuna tower was great, but I wish there was a bit more ahi tuna in it. My meal was awesome! I had a six ounce filet mignon with a lobster tail. The filet was perfectly grilled and juicy- just how I like it! The lobster tail was absolutely delicious! It was boiled perfectly, & the butter made it even better than it already was! We also had a couple of sides with our main coarse; mushrooms, spinach, and Parmesan fries. They were all amazing! The atmosphere of this place is great. It is very modern and filled with art, & everything is very clean. The service was beyond amazing. Our waitress was very friendly, & recommended the best foods. Without her, I wouldn't have had my delicious meal! Overall, I completely recommend Morton's. Everything about this restaurant is great, & it is probably the best chain steakhouse ever!! read more

How have I not left a review for Morton's? I owe them one because they've done so much for us. By joining their Landry's club (which pays for itself after the 2nd visit), you will see rewards come your way. These benefits do not see stacking restrictions so they'll automatically double up should you have more than one reward waiting for you. This fares well and comes as a nice treat on your bill easily paying for your appetizer (or sometimes your filet mignon) and your birthday dessert once a year. Exclusive specials for members that go beyond the daily surf & turf promotional deals for everyone else are sometimes available. If you didn't get the email, just ask. Make a reservation and don't be surprised if tables are hard to come by on a Saturday if you didn't do your homework. (Especially now that the new ultra luxurious AMC theater is open; just guessing this may draw in more people as it's right down the hall). Highly recommend the grilled oyster appetizer which used to be a special and is now a permanent fixture on the menu. Also, if you do get that filet mignon, order it butterflied. Your friends will wish they did. Is this the type of steakhouse where the steak comes out sizzling and dripping on a platter? No, it's not Lugers but it's a 100% consistently good quality and reliable, elegant meal every single time. Ask for Diane - she's the sweetest server there and speaking of sweet, don't skip dessert. I'm not a soufflé girl (must be ordered 30 min in advance) but people do like them. I'm much more their Cheesecake Brûlée fan. read more

Good service. Food was horrible. First the lamb came out too rare then it came out burnt, no flavor. Porterhouse steak was tough on both sides with no flavor. I would not recommend it! I really like Morton's. I have been here quite a few times and every time i have left satisfied. Many say the true test of a great steakhouse is the steak for two but i have never had it here. My go to steak when i eat here is the Cajun Rib eye. Pound for pound this is my favorite steak. The flavor is out of this world and its always consistently great. They also have a great onion loaf (their bread) and their sides are very good. An added bonus with Morton's is that if you go for your birthday and let them know ahead of time they give you a nice personalized menu. This place is not the worlds greatest steakhouse and its not even my personal favorite but it's a great place. read more

We came for Thanksgiving dinner 11/23/17, expecting a gourmet dinner. What a total disappointment. Items ordered have been rated. Center cut filet mignon (D ) It had no resemblance to a filet mignon cut at all, less than 1/2 " thick, tasteless, no juice, dry, came out on a plain, white plate with a small green garnish. It didn't look like one picture on here, I'm wondering if it was really fillet mignon. Truffle fries (C) I've had better. Prosciutto wrapped mozzarella (A) delicious, the only bright spot of this dinner. Bread loaf (A) Fresh baked and hot. Spaghetti with shrimp (D) tasteless, bland. Cappuccino (C) small, average. Salad (C) ample crispy greens but with chincey amounts of fillings. Overall service (B) professional staff and waiter. Overall ambiance (A) nice music, layout and setting. Cost (D) all this was $151 plus a tip. Definitely not worth it. There were no turkey items on the menu. No plans on returning to the dining area. In contrast, Morton's has a nice happy hour with a good selection of appetizers and drinks, although the bar area is somewhat small. The bar staff was excellent and accommodating. The bar area is not included in my restaurant rating though. read more

This was my third visit to Morton's, though it has been quite a few years since the last time I ate there. Last Saturday night, a group of 4 of us got together there to celebrate my friend's birthday and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and service, as well as the steep prices!! (though for a special day the quality was well worth the price). Our waiter took a little while to come around, but once he did he turned out to be very good at his job and very attentive. Though I must say the restaurant was only half full on a rainy Friday night. I had the Fillet Mignon double cut and I thought it was the best I've had in quite some time if not ever. I ordered mine medium rare and it was incredibly good. My friend had the Chicago Style Bone-In Ribeye Steak and he actually said "This is the best steak I ever had". The rest of the entrees received very similar praise. The only thing that I found off putting about Morton's was that you have to order your side dishes separately and that they come at a hefty price. My feeling is, if you're going to charge me $49 for a Fillet Mignon or $56 for a Ribeye, couldn't you throw in some mashed potatoes for "free"? we ended up having Sauteed Button Mushrooms ($10) and the Spinach and Mushrooms($11) and shared those amongst the 4 diners and those were both very good. Lastly, we decided to share a desert and ordered the very big (and pricey $17) Morton's legendary Sundae. It is made of Morton's Legendary Hot Chocolate Cake, Vanilla Ice Cream, and whip cream topped with a cherry. This dessert was incredible rich and delicious and a great way to end the night. I would recommend Morton's to anyone looking for premium steaks, and great drinks for a special occasion, keeping in mind that dinner for 4 (4 entrees, 2 sides, a bottle of wine and dessert) will easily cost you over $300. read more
