Outback Steakhouse 194 Route 17 North Rochelle Park, NJ 07662 Table Bread Bloomin' Onion Melbourne Porterhouse Bloomin' Fried Chicken I acknowledge this is a chain restaurant, but that doesn't mean the food is automatically sub-par. The appetizers were definitely on point. Table Bread: The table bread is soft and doughy with a side of soft, spreadable butter. But, the bread can never compare to the Bloomin' onion. Bloomin' Onion: This oversized onion ring comes with a cup of spicy signature bloom sauce, which is the best part to this appetizer. I can virtually guarantee you won't be able to have only one! The only critique is not to place the "on another level" tray onto the pedestal because the appetizer almost tipped over Melbourne Porterhouse: The 22 ounce steak was cooked medium rare. Unlike the Bloomin onion, there isn't a house made steak sauce. But the cut itself was decent. Bloomin Fried Chicken: The restaurant is in full bloom when it offered this specialty fried chicken as a main course. The soft, tender boneless chicken is drizzled with bloom sauce. Since you probably won't be able to get enough, there is also an extra cup of the dipping sauce on the side. I was truly pleased with the meal selections. If you need to go lighter on your wallet a while still getting a delicious meal, come on out to Outback! #outbacksteakhouse #outback #bloominonion #bloominfriedchicken #melbourneporterhouse #steak #chainrestaurant #foodreview

Holly A was the best server! Wow I have not been to an outback since college and I could not believe how delicious the food was! My steak was better than at Capital Grill! The lobster meat was so wonderfully sweet. The broccoli and baked potato were perfection. And I really enjoyed my fresh wedge salad! And those desserts OH MY just a few bites were plenty as they are rich and amazing!! Highly recommend the ooey gooey chocolate thunder from down under. It did not disappoint! And the salted Caramel cookie skillet was incredible!! Loved the white chocolate and pretzel bits in there along with the buttery warm cookie and caramel. YUM! 100/10!

I came here for dinner with my friend and we came across an awesome deal in the back of the menu. You can have a 3 course meal with dessert starting at $14.99! I got the French onion soup, grilled shrimp with fries, and the koala drink for around $20-25. This is a great deal and the food was wonderful. The service was great as well!

My family and I had a wonderful Valentine's Day dinner at Outback Steakhouse the other day. My daughter LOVES steak and wanted to go to Outback for a "fancy" dinner. Of course, we had to say yes. We made reservations, but got there on the earlier side (5pm on Friday) and there were plenty of tables. But as we were leaving there were a lot of people waiting so we picked a good time to arrive. We were seated right away and our waitress, Athena came over. Let me just give a HUGE shoutout to Athena. She was such a wonderful server. So attentive. Kept our drinks refilled and even gave my kiddos a little treat before we left. Thank you for a wonderful evening Athena! For dinner my daughter ordered the kid's steak. It's great that Outback asks how she would like it cooked. She always goes for medium. Other establishments just cook it well-done and that's a big no no for her. I ordered the filet mignon, medium-rare, with broccoli and rice. OMG, the steak was cooked to perfection. It was so delicious and buttery soft. The rice had a little spice to it and the broccoli was doused in buttery goodness as well. My son had the chicken fingers and my husband had the burger. We were all VERY happy with our meals. And of course we had to order dessert. The kids each had a scoop of ice cream and my husband and I shared the Chocolate Thunder from Down Under, which was decadent and so delicious. I LOVE pecans so this warm pecan brownie totally hit the spot. The restaurant was lovely and not too loud at all. The price was right. And we all left full and super happy. Thanks Athena and Outback Steakhouse!

I have not gone to Outback on a regular basis in the past 20 years however the last two years on New Year's Eve I have come to get this prime rib because funny enough even the high end steakhouses nearby don't have this. They cook it perfectly and the sides were done as ordered. It's a wonderful value for only $32.

The 3 course dinner was a good value. I had the coconut shrimp as a main course with fries as my side. The coconut shrimp had a very nice crispy texture. I started with a Cesar salad. The Cesar salad could have used more croutons, thankfully the bread they served had the texture of 100 day old bread. It was nice because it reminded me of Europe and the table bread they serve that is not meant to be eaten. The Cesar was over dressed. The fries were excellent. But a few were dark spotted from being old as can be seen in the picture I took. The cheesecake was also included and was a nice size and good taste. I'd do it again. The waitress did a nice job.

Service was excellent, bread was warm, food came out in a reasonable time! The coconut shrimp was my favorite part of the meal. The steaks were what you expect to eat at a chain restaurant.

I went to this place for the first time and my experience was great. Most of the plates on the menu included two types of meat and two sides. The food came out quickly and the waitress was very attentive. It was a great place with cheap and delicious food. The ambiance was nice and quiet.

I have to admit ----- for someone who has visited many chain restaurants, I don't go to many Outback Steakhouses and have probably gone only a handful of times to different ones and this location is probably just like any other location, in terms of menu offerings at least. I'll cut right to the chase and say that the 2 times that I've been to this location, the food was pretty good. I've ordered steak both times and the steak was cooked decently, although a bit off on temperature. We asked for a medium steak and it came medium rare. We asked for medium well (for the kids) and it came medium. Was it surprising that they were off? Not really. I don't expect more because I'm not expecting a Michelin starred steakhouse experience. As they say - it is what it is - especially when you're visiting one of these chain restaurants. With alll of the above said, we did get to try the Bone-in Ribeye with Bourbon Onion and it was absolutely delicious. No steak hits the spot more than a bone-in ribeye with all of the juices from the bone attached right at the hip to the meat. Service was decent the 2 times we were here, although one experience was definitely better than the other. Not sure if we'll be visiting again anytime soon, but if you're craving steak and don't want to spend an arm and 2 legs, then Outback is relatively economically viable these days compared to your traditional steakhouse.

I know this is a franchise and I know a lot of people give franchise restaurants a hard time including me. I typically try not to eat at them, especially Applebee's. But this Outback is right next to my gym and sometimes on a Friday when I leave the gym I'm hungry and I want steak. I just so happened to have a gift card to Outback so I figured I'll give it a shot. I came here on a Friday afternoon around 4:00 p.m. and it was about halfway full. Only about three or four people at the bar. I was eating alone so I sat at the bar even though I'm not drinking alcohol at this moment. The bartender quickly gave me the menu and I opted for the bone-in ribeye steak with a double side of vegetable. I'm trying to keep it clean folks. Without exaggeration I would say my steak came out in about 6 minutes. It looked good and I'll tell you it tasted great. The steak was well seasoned, Not too much fat on it, And it was cooked a perfect medium rare. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The vegetables were pretty good, had a nice seasoning on it and possibly were sauteed in butter. I ran through this meal in about 10 minutes. And I was perfectly full at the end. I really have no complaints about my experience. The bartender was very nice and filled up my water every time the glass became empty. If I'm in the mood for a quick inexpensive steak I would definitely return. My meal was about $35. Not bad at all.

Every time I come here I'm so excited but when we get our food we are so disappointed. The prices are going up and the portions are disappearing! The waiter doesn't write things down - instead they use iPads but the internet kept going down so he had trouble taking our order. They used to be known for their baked potato but tonight the potatoes were teeny tiny. We actually laughed when it arrived. The waiter was very kind and felt bad for us so he actually brought us 2 more. They messed up my son's vegetable order. My chicken was raw - which I didn't notice until I was almost done. My son's girlfriend ordered her burger medium and it was completely rare. The place is close and convenient and the waiter was great but I think I'm done with this place. The only reason I gave a 2 rating was our waiter. He was trying so hard and had a lot of tables. I reached out to the business and no one has contacted me!

This is one of the better outbacks. The food is typical. The wedge salad is very good. Crispy and fresh. Tomatoes were fresh and cheese was generous and delicious. The soup was good. I have a cold and it hit the spot.

THE FOOD ----------------…read more+ Limited time 3 courses for $60, which includes a starter, entree, personal side and personal dessert was worth everrrry penny, but, more importantly, was an absolute steal at Ruth's Chris!!! + Steak House Salad - Solid, simple salad. No real surprises - greens, cherry tomatoes, onions, croutons and Italian dressing - but it was a nice, light starter and just how I like my salads. + French Onion Soup - Super flavorful and so good! Can I say that this is almost too good of a starter to be on a pre-fixe menu starter list??? + 6 oz Filet and Shrimp - Filet was cooked PERFECTLY medium. It was tender, juicy and deeeeelicious. There were also 3 broiled shrimp, which were solid, but the steak already makes this entree worth it as part of the 3 for $60 deal. + Roasted Brussel Sprouts and Creamed Spinach personal sides were also good. It won't wow you, but they do the job for sides and you're getting what you expect out of these dishes. + Classic Cheesecake and Chocolate Cheesecake were solid. I preferred the classic though as the cheesecake flavor and texture of that one was more evident. The chocolate one seemed more "floury" than cheesecake, if you know what I mean... - Kids Salmon and Kids Fried Shrimp - Our kids seemed to have liked them. The Kids Salmon was a decent size and possibly even shareable. The Fried Shrimp consisted of 4 well-fried pieces. THE SERVICE ------------------- + Our waiter was good. He was friendly and accommodated every request we made. He tried to be funny at times, but some jokes kind of fell flat, but I won't hold that against him. He had good intentions. + All of our food arrived very fast!! THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------- + Interior of the restaurant is spacious and dimly lit during dinner. ++++ There is a reallly nice large bar to the left of the entrance of the restaurant. ++++ There are 2 dining rooms - the main one, which is directly behind the maitre'd table, and a more intimate one to the right of the main room. - During peak hours on Saturdays, which basically feels like all day Saturday, parking can be an absolute horror show in the lot because of how busy the Bergen Town Center gets. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS ------------------------------------- + Came in for a 6:15 PM resy on a Saturday and dined till about 7:30 PM and it definitely got prettttty busy by the end of out meal. The main dining room waz buzzing and our side dining room was getting busier by the minute.

The ambiance is dim, quiet, and upscale--open kitchen, "classic steakhouse" feel, and guests often dressed for a nice night out. We recently celebrated our anniversary here, and the staff truly went above and beyond. Our table was decorated with tasteful heart-shaped confetti, an anniversary card, and complimentary champagne--such a thoughtful and unexpected touch that made the evening feel extra special. The warm bread with butter was irresistible (I had two pieces despite usually skipping it!). Our server, Christopher, was professional, personable, and incredibly accommodating. The spinach salad with poached pears, Gorgonzola, and pecans was a standout--I only wish the portion was bigger. The Brussels sprouts with bacon were delicious but quite indulgent. The calamari with hot peppers is a must if you enjoy a spicy kick. For entrées, I had the scallops with lobster and risotto, and my husband ordered the filet--both were cooked perfectly and full of flavor. We were full halfway through but couldn't stop eating. Dessert was the only slight miss--the apple tart looked great but wasn't as flavorful as expected. However, the complimentary dessert tasting (flourless chocolate cake and crème brûlée cheesecake) completely made up for it--beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. We're already looking forward to coming back--especially for that cheesecake with the berry compote!

I had been to this Morton's location a few times over the past several years, so I was surprised to…read moresee that I had yet to write a review of it. The dimly lit, classic steakhouse vibe was apparent from the moment you entered their second-floor lobby. (There was an elevator, if needed.) The host greeted us with a friendly demeanor and allowed us to either wait for our friends in the foyer or get our seats. We decided to have him take us to our table, which had been decorated with a "Happy Birthday" note and star confetti for one of our friends. It was a small detail that went a long way into making us feel welcome. Our server was similarly delightful. We were quickly served a large, round loaf of onion bread that was warm, fluffy, and flavorful. I paired my slice with a Morton's Spicy Margarita made with Herradura Reposado Tequila, Grand Marnier, and lime. It was strong, sweet, and had a decent kick. The bread was so good that we passed on appetizers, though we made sure to save room for dessert. In the meantime, I enjoyed my 8-ounce Filet Mignon, which had a delightful, seasoned crust, though was cooked slightly over my requested medium. I also ordered the Sautéed Spinach and Button Mushrooms side dish, which was a hearty, earthy blend that I really liked as a duo. Then it came time for a sweet ending to the evening, and I jumped at the chance to try their house‑made carrot cake, which was only available for a limited time. The slice arrived, and it was massive, so I encouraged my companions to each take several forkfuls. The large layer cake was topped with a rich cream cheese icing and sprinkled with coconut, walnuts, and freshly whipped cream. The cake was light and fluffy, and the frosting was surprisingly not too sweet; it was phenomenal! I would only hope that they would add it to the menu permanently. Morton's might be a chain steakhouse, and this location might be in a mall, but I really feel like it is a cut (pun intended) above the rest! Definitely pay them a visit!

I went with two friends, ordered happy hour drinks first, then placed the special. Unfortunately, we waited over an hour for the food. What made it more frustrating was watching tables around us who ordered after we did receive their food before us. By the time it finally came, I honestly wasn't even interested anymore. I will say this: the bartender noticed the issue, genuinely apologized, and took $58 off the bill, which I appreciated. That gesture helped, but the long wait really took away from the experience. The food itself wasn't bad, but after waiting that long, I could've lived without the meal. Service recovery was handled well, but timing is everything especially when you're coming in specifically for a promoted special.
