Good service and tasty food! Extensive draft lift and nice group seating. The outdoor patio looked nice, but did not work for a rainy night. Catfish was enjoyable, drinks were good, water always filled and table well served. I would return.

Went to Mortimers for lunch today with a party of 10. We sat in the party room. It was very nice and pretty private for all of us since we tend to get pretty rambunctious and loud. Totally forgot to let my camera "eat first". Hahhaha! Our waitress was very nice. She was able to take all of our orders and deliver them with some help from her team. The restaurant is a Memphis staple that has been around for a very long time. This was my first time dining there. When you walk into the restaurant, the bar is at the front. There are many tables and chairs in the restaurant. The decor reminds me of a bar and a local neighborhood eatery. Nothing real fancy but fits many people. The tables and chairs are kind of worn but are adequate. There is plenty of parking. The restaurant was really busy which is a good sign. I imagine there are regular customers each day. They have a variety of lunch specials each day. I love the many choices of sides and the menu is quite extensive. I ordered fried catfish with black-eyed peas and pickled beets. We were served corn sticks with butter before our meal. I had coffee and water to drink. Everything was delish!! My friends ordered burgers, beef stroganoff, chicken salad, soup, a Mahi Mahi sandwich, and veggie plate. Our food was tasty. They are open for dinner as well. I will come back to try more options on the menu.

We must have gone on an off night. The food just didn't have a good flavor to it. The marinade tasted water down.

The stroganoff. It was good. Good lunch special.

Great little quick bite. For was solid, drink was solid, service was solid. It was a quick bite but enjoyable!

Casual dining with established ambiance! Seafood options and more. Try the gumbo- it's mild and loaded with okra, shrimp, and polish sausage. Servers are friendly! Love the brick floors! BEST BANANA PUDDING IN TOWN!!

We came at lunch right when they opened with no reservation, which was fine. There was plenty of seating but it did get a little busier by the time we left. The hostess and our waitress were very nice and attentive. This place is NOT kid friendly. Which is fine... not everyplace has to be kid friendly. I just want parents to know up front that they do not have a kids menu. I asked what kid friendly options there were and our waitress suggested a few, but we decided on just a cheese pizza. This was for my 3 year old and he did not eat it, but neither did my other 2 kids (ages 7 and 11) when we brought it home. It had no seasoning and a very tomato taste. We got the poutine as an appetizer. I forgot a picture of it. My husband has had this before in Canada and he loved it. However, this one wasn't up to par. He enjoyed it, but said an authentic one is much better. I personally couldn't eat it. The gravy was just too weird. As a main course, I had the "Mikey Likes It" pizza. It was good if you like basil. It was very heavy on the basil. It was a bit burnt though. My husband had the special which was a chopped cheese. He said it was good, but nothing to brag about. I'm not a sauerkraut fan, the bite I had was good, but I wouldn't have been able to eat all of it. The fries as a side were good and crunchy. Overall, we probably won't be back. It's just not our style. Not our type of "fancy" food. This is one of those "mark of I've been there" things. Give it a try for yourself because it's not terrible.

The front desk at the hotel recommended this spot, and I couldn't be happier with their recommendation. Cocozza sits on the far end of a strip mall, but has adequate parking in the front, and additional in the rear of the property. Visiting on a Friday evening, there was a small wait and all seats were full. However, I was able to find a vacant bar seat. Steven made a great gin martini, and fave me the rundown on the menu. I decided to start with a Caesar salad, followed by Bucatini Alla Enzo for the entree. Until today, I hadn't had the pleasure of trying bucatini, but this unique pasta might just be my new favorite. It was just the right portion of pasta with a wonderful garlic sauce accompanied by fresh mushrooms and peas. I grabbed a piece of lemon cheesecake to-go, and gave my seat to a waiting patron. As I visit Memphis often, I am really looking forward to visiting Cocozza again to try other items on the menu. Great service! Great spot! Great food.

They don't make it easy..Detroit 10x8, 10" Deep Dish (NB only 35.made.daily??), Calzones, 13" Classic, GF Cauliflower Crust, and a 18" Chicago Cracker thin--say wh@t? Never heard of this, all more reason to return! All cooked in an Italian stone deck oven 600° not quite the leopard spotting of neopolitans but it's pretty decent having just tried the Detroit Pepperoni and Deep Dish $22 and $28 Deep Dish Big Apple. Oven rendered crispy lil pepperoni cups and a decent crusty cheese edge on the Detroit, and a puffy pillow crust on the Deep Dish. Latter misses the buttery yellow cornmeal firmness of signature Chicago Deep Dishes though, and the puffy dough does get a little dry and more chewy less crisp as you get to the end of your slice and as time outta the oven ticks on. Rotolo's spicy sausage are thin slices not crumbled that I was expecting and sure bang a bite, it's very good. Shaved Brussel Sprout Salad $14 with pesto honey mustard, not too sweet was the most inventive salad that I've never seen before. Gave the pepperoni to my guest and still delish with crispy romaine and grape tomatoes, parm & bright zesty banana peppers. It's huge and enough for 3 of us. Didn't add but Chix was only $3 to add or $5 for fried /grilled shrimp! Hubby's real IPA 4/5* and Wisconsin N/A Untitled Art Juicy IPA $6 were very flavorful. Both a cloudy lemonade color, good hoppy bite, clean finish though the real IPA's is short not lingering, it's better on the NA actually, and prefer over more commonly found Athletic IPA 5/5* Waitress was a young student, attentive and lots of them running around, she did a great job, refills, order, checking in, out.
