Sometimes we find ourselves in places that seem like a time warp and such was the case when I entered into Morris Neal for a burger today. Think old-fashioned burger stand from many yesteryears. I doubt there has been many updates on the 93 years since this place began. The place had a vintage diner kind of ambiance to it. These folks have been slapping burgers in front of folks since 1932. So if my math adds up, that is 93 years of burgers and fries from these guys. Knowing that fact, I had to give them a try! After walking in, I approached the counter. The person who took our order was friendly and super efficient. She was helpful in explaining how things worked to these two first-timers. Walking away from the counterfeit , I in in had gone full steam ahead having ordered a Chili-Cheeseburger and Fries. I was taken aback when the counter person informed us it might be about 20 minutes but I went with it as they were busy. It took all of 20 minutes to get our order, but let me tell you, the wait was worth every second. This burger is not being over-hyped, it's amazing!

Lunch in Cleburne Tx. Got the double cheeseburger without the bun and sweet potato fries. You order at a counter like a fast food joint. The inside seating is pretty limited so we sat outside. It was pretty hot outside but we had no other option. Staff were friendly and cheerful. Took a bit for our food to come out but it was 11:40 am and it was full inside. Burger was very good as was the sweet potato fries. Plastic baskets reminiscent of DQ, plastic utensils and drinks in cans. Were it not for the heat I would have easily eaten the whole thing but it was too hot and humid to have much of an appetite. Portion size was good and I enjoyed my lunch

So sad! This place is normally amazing. Today my burger was like warm and under seasoned. For as busy as they were it should have been hot! Drove 30 minutes for average burger. Fries were hot but lacked salt as well. Sweet counter person.

So I'm in Cleburne for a couple days and looking for good lunch places. Looked like good reviews for Morris Neal so drove over before the lunch rush started. Be prepared to eat early or take the lunch with you. They have a very small dining room with 6 or 7 tables. I got lucky and sat down after I ordered. I was also there at 11:30. On this day they had the A/C cranked up and it was 50 degrees outside. Several times I almost got up to go outside and warm up. I never get cold either. Just roughed it because I was anxiously awaiting this experience. They brought my double bacon cheeseburger and onion rings out. A little pricey at $17 but still anticipating goodness. I will say the Pattie's looked awesome! No freezer made plain patty here. The bun was exceptional too. Took my first bite and there's a lot of meat but missing a little seasoning. It was a good burger but just could have had some more seasoning to get that 5th . The onion rings were good. A small portion for the price but still good. Definitely worth a stop for a good burger and experience.

Good burgers, nice people. Will be back. Enjoyed the regular too. I'll skip the hot dogs though, found out they use ball park dogs.

The best burger place in Cleburne if not Johnson County. Johnnie makes the hamburger patties daily .

Unfortunately, this place missed the mark for me. Ordering was easy as they specialize in burgers with and the lady at the window was friendly enough. The kid and I both ordered the mission burger, which is 2 smash patties, cheese, and their special sauce. I added grilled onion to mine and he ordered a side of fries. I could tell when I looked at the patties I would be disappointed. They weren't really smash patties at all, more like the size and shape of a McDonald's quarter pounder. They tasted like the prepackaged patties you would get out of a box or bag. I can't say for sure, but the quality was just not great. I've eaten my fair share of burgers around the metroplex, so I know good quality when I have it. The kid enjoyed his food and the fries were really good, hence the 3 stars. At $11 for the basic burger, I wouldn't visit again. I hate leaving reviews like this!

The food is usually spot on for a fast food location, Whataburger has a differing taste than other locations, and they are still fairly large in comparison to all of the others that have shrinking buns and meat. The spicy ketchup is always amazing! YUM! Large fries are larger than anywhere else. The staff is hit and miss in their kindness. Usually they are kind and good, there have been a few times when they have seem extremely preoccupied. I'd caution everyone to check their drinks when going through the drive through, they often get our tea wrong. I always order unsweet, tho often it's confused with sweet.

This is not the be all nor end all of quick eats. I'm sorry to attack your cherished Whataburger. Service was slow but we're still in the middle of the COVID recovery so no points off for that. It's not these kids fault that they're way understaffed and the young lady who did get over to take my order was pleasant and helpful. She's great. My burgers and onion rings were bagged up and ready a few minutes later. Yes, even in mid-October 2021 the dining room is closed and everything is to go. At least the counter is open - there was a queue for the drive through that went to the end of the parking lot and blocking the right lane of the street. Jeez, people! Back at the hotel room, I unwrapped and dug in. Still hot and definitely fresh. The burger tasted flame-grilled and looked just like the one I might have gotten in a Whopper from Burger King. Toppings were extremely similar (though the "hatch green chillies" are unique). It was assembled neatly and wrapped neatly. It just didn't thrill me. Again, I'm sorry to disparage what you think is the best. I think Wendy's burgers taste better. I've now had a Whataburger and I'm good. No need to repeat while I remain in the Texas areas they serve. [Review 16051 overall - 236 in Texas - 1556 of 2021.]

I ordered premium chicken bites for my son for $4.29 (not including tax) and what I received from them was a slap in the face. 6 bites is what it came with and one of them had some other food fried to it. Looked like cheese and one overcooked tator tot in there as well. The past few times I have gone there the food has been horrible. I used to love Sonic but they need to change their business practice and quality of service and food before they end up out of business. I won't eat here anymore. She got home and started pulling out said sandwiches and sides only to discover they had not included my intended pork sandwich. I asked the wife to call back up to them and let them know I was coming back into town to get my sandwich. $5 is $5 at this point and I wouldn't have anything but sides if I didn't head back into town. Got told when I got there by the female manager on duty tonight that I was lying and I had probably ate it already so was coming back to try and steal another from them. Long story, finally got my pork sandwich the wife paid for and, thankfully a little later I found out, a burger too. Got home, opened the pork sandwich and pathetic pork sandwich is a better name for it. Literally one small spoon size line of pork meat in the center of the otherwise dry bottom bun and four pickles with a swipe of some red sauce that smells like cheap bbq sauce on the top bun. Found out as well that they never picked up the phone the whole time I was gone to correct the issue that way so wife got a constant busy signal for over thirty minutes. Also, at least half of what we did get at first was cold (cheesy fries), burnt (onion rings), or chewy/undercooked (wacky pack chicken tenders) depending on item. Overall, the pathetic pork just cost me $5+ gas because no one wants to eat it with how it looks and wasted gas driving back and forth from Cleburne for this pathetic pork sandwich. Moral of the story: Don't waste your time or money.
