Wall of fame with Mr. Mori
Cory Y.

Visitor from Hawaii. Been to my fair share of teppanyaki places where they cook in front of you. Made us feel like me and my family were at home. Love the wall of fame of Mr. Mori and the celebs celebs. Mr. Mori and his team take care. Food was great, service was amazing, vibes were perfect. Came here on vacation as we just stumbled upon it as it was close to our hotel. It didnt disappoint. Prices are very reasonable and the food and service of the chefs and staff were great. When you serve beer bottles in ice, you know they care. I will certainly spread the word and will be back if we are ever in the area.

This Teppan restaurant is a very traditional and nostalgic. They don't even make sushi here. They have your basic Teppan Style cooking. It's a mom-and-pop location and needs few upgrades. The waiters are very efficient, and the cooks make sure you food is cooked to perfection. Service is outstanding and the atmosphere is cool. Easy parking.

The services was sweet and nice. The food was really good and the price was definitely affordable and worth it for the amount of food we received. The ambiance was fun and parking was great.

Awesome food at decent prices. You absolutely must make reservations in advance. They won't even allow take-out orders if they are completely booked. Highly recommend the New York strip and shrimp. The fried rice was just ok. So much food!

Heart shaped fried rice, go show them some love!

At Mori, you always get seated by him. And we went last month for our anniversary and absolutely loved the experience from start to finish. The teppanyaki is the highlight, with skillful chefs who entertain, and cook with a level of precision that reflects Mori's roots as a disciple of the Benihana family. We had the chicken, steak, and lobster tail on the side, all prepared perfectly and full of flavor. It's a place we truly enjoy coming back to, with great food, a warm atmosphere, and service that makes the night feel special every time

Service was slow, drinks were checked on at the very end of the meal and still were not delivered in a timely manner. Rice was under cooked and crunchy and shrimp was burnt around the edges and chicken was over cooked.

Wow -- Hidden Gem in Glendale! If you're in the mood for some of the best hibachi you've ever had, I would definitely check this place out. We were greeted by the super nice Mr. Mori when we arrived and were seated immediately. Within 5 minutes of being seated, they brought out a fresh salad and the best miso soup I think I have ever had as an appetizer. For my main protein, I ordered the chicken and shrimp, but we also ordered the steak and lobster. The steak was a perfect medium rare and the shrimp was amazing! "More butter, more better!" The chicken was perfectly cooked, still juicy. The lobster tasted fresh, and all of the food was done cooking and on the plate in a timely fashion. The coke they have comes in a plastic bottle, so you get more than you would from a can and if you don't finish it you can take it home. The waitresses were friendly and helpful. There were people celebrating a birthday and you could tell they go there a lot. They seemed super satisfied with their meal and left really happy. The bathroom was clean and fully stocked with soap and toilet paper. Over all, it was a great experience and I will definitely be back!

Today was my first time visiting your restaurant, and we had an amazing experience. It felt more like a museum or an art space than a regular restaurant--at one moment, it even felt like being in a circus. It was truly enjoyable. The food was very delicious, the atmosphere was excellent, and the staff were very kind. Chef Billy and the waitress Kath if I'm not wrong So caring and welcoming In the end, I asked the owner if I could take a picture with him, and he said, "Of course." Then I took a photo with this lovely man, and my husband said, "My wife is going to be famous--good thing we're together." The owner was very humble and hospitable. A lot of people celebrate their birthdays in this beautiful restaurant and really enjoy it. Yes, I definitely recommend this place.

I have been craving teppanyaki for a while now and i found this place to try. I finally went and it was a good experience. We were seated quickly and got serviced fast as well. Our server and cook were delightful and they seem to enjoy what they do at work which is nice to experience. The food and the portions were good. My only complaint is probably the meat was bland so i had to eat with the dipping sauces but the sauces made up for it. It was a nice experience and my cravings are definitely satisfied.

Good, not great. This is a typical teppan Japanese grill. Their flavors have no garlic. If they add garlicx it would probably taste better. The fried rice is literally just fried rice and egg. There was no chicken added to it. If it had chicken, it would have been so much better. The filet mignon was good. It was cooked nicely. Again, no garlic flavor. The seasoning they used basically was salt and pepper. I tasted no other flavors. I think this is why I was not a huge fan of this place. The chef was nice. He saw I wasn't eating part of my steak because it was too raw and asked if I wanted it cooked more, I said that would be great. He made it right. I would not return. The lack of flavor is disappointing. It was too much money for what it is. The parking is free. It is a weird inner lot right next to the restaurant. I had to call the restaurant for more information to help find it. The location is across the street from Ralph's.

Ask the Community - Mori Teppan Grill

The business never seems to answer their phone, no way to make reservations online, is it walk-in only?

I've left reservation info on their answering machine in the past and when my party arrived date/time my reservation has been in their book. Leave number so they can call if date/time isn't available.

How much por person?

Depends on the dish. Around 25 - 30 a person not including drinks. Well priced for such large portions

Does mori require just vaccination cards or vax cards and masks as well?

No they don't

Voice mail says you're temporarily full booked & not taking reservations; does this include walk ins as well?

I don't think so. I was able to walk in but I came at 5:30p on a Friday, no line or wait. However,… Read more

Has anyone been able to make a reservation? It just rings and goes to a message that says reservations are full. So odd. I mean, full until when?

Their answer machine always says they are "fully booked." Just leave a message with your name, number and how many people in your party for what day and they will return your call confirming a reservation.

Hi, I would like to make dinner reservation for 11/20 . How do I go about?

Call them directly, the owner is really nice, he will do best best to add you to the reservation list

Hi I been trying to call to make a reservation but nobody answers the phone. I have left a few voicemails and nobody has gotten back to me. How can I confirm the reservation?

I had the filet and chicken combination, with chicken liver as my appetizer. Overall, everything was good. The chicken breast was slightly overcooked and a bit tough, but I would much rather have well-done chicken than risk it being undercooked. The chicken liver was surprisingly good, especially considering it was only my second time ever having it. The dinner presentation was nice, as always. A bit cheesy, but entertaining. Service was somewhat lacking. I asked for water twice and never received it, and eventually had to flag down a server from another table. We also requested to-go containers and never received those either. I will mention something that did not affect my rating, since I understand this is simply how the restaurant operates. If your party is not large enough to fill a station, you will share a table with another group. As I mentioned, the family seated with us had two small children, one of whom cried for most of the meal. As anyone knows, the sound of a crying child can be quite piercing and obnoxious, so it is just something to keep in mind. All in all, it was still a fun experience, and we will definitely be back.

My first visit to King Tut's Hibachi food truck was amazing. The food was seasoned perfectly, the rice was cooked properly & the filet pieces were big, generous chunks. The portions are very fair for the prices, two people can easily share one plate. I left impressed, happy & excited for their small business. However, after going back several more times, the inconsistency has been disappointing. On multiple visits, the rice was undercooked & grainy. I actually called the owner directly about it because I didn't want to leave a negative review, I wanted him to have the opportunity to fix it & be aware of it directly. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like much has changed. Last night was especially disappointing. The rice was undercooked again, & filet was cut into very small bits. It had so much pepper & salt that it wasn't edible, all I could taste was pepper. You couldn't even add the sauces on top because it would have made it even saltier. It honestly felt like a waste of $88 on two plates. The flavor was completely unbalanced compared to my first visit. There's also a pricing issue with the menu that customers should be aware of. Ordering a plate of double filet & a plate of double shrimp (to share at home), costs about $5 more than ordering two filet & shrimp combo plates. The receipt didn't provide a breakdown either, so as a customer you really have to study the menu & structure your order carefully to avoid paying more for essentially the same amount of food. I brought this to the owner's attention. He did offered $5 cash back, which I appreciated, but the real issue is not being able to fully trust the pricing structure. The owner is genuinely very nice, that's why I've given multiple chances & brought up concerns directly to him. He does seem like he's taking down feedback when you mention issues with the food, but when you come back & don't see improvement, you start to question it. As a customer, I need to be able to trust the pricing structure & expect consistency in the food. I truly hope they improve because when it's good, it's really good.

Most of the staff are friendly and a few might look grumpy, but we got the ones who were nice. We get our drinks occasionally refilled but that's usual at a buffet, you need to flag someone down if you don't catch them while they are cleaning up your plates. The downside for my latest visit isn't on the place itself, but due to a restroom incident and it's usually dirty every time I visit so I can't give it 5 stars until that's resolved. We were done eating and so I decided to use the restroom. After using the largest stall because all the others were taken, I didn't realize someone exploded near the back of the toilet. I only noticed when I got up that it was a huge MESS. I knew some of it got on my dress too so I had to call someone to help me grab something for me to change into because I cannot wear my dress after that disgusting interaction. After I changed, we went to the staff for a bag so I can throw my clothes away and I told the staff what happened. I am not sure if they understood me because they didn't respond in a way I thought they would. Luckily I didn't get it on any other clothes, I had to vigorously wash my arms though just in case. This place only has 22 reviews? We're about to change that…read more I'd seen this place on my Insta and had followed it but hadn't tried it till yesterday when I discovered my go to hibachi delivery place no longer delivered to me. It was only a matter of time because this place was helluva far from where I live. So, my quest for a new hibachi place to deliver to me commenced and this place popped up. That jostled my memory that I had wanted to try it and the rest is history. My go to is always a filet mignon (medium well) combo with shrimp and fried rice. I'm going to be honest, the filet was tender and wonderful but it wasn't medium well. I didn't expect it to be though because other than ordering at a sit down place, this request hasn't ever been fulfilled. For me, this wasn't an issue as the meat wasn't overcooked and everything tasted perfect. The bonus here is that the plate comes with fried rice and you don't have to pay more for that option. Your plate also comes with hibachi style veggies (carrots, broccoli, zucchini and onions) and not frozen "steamed" veggies like some other places. You get six shrimp and a decent amount of beef in my opinion. No matter how much fried rice you give me, I will always say it can come with more because I absolutely carbs. Now for the sauces - listen up, because for me, the sauces are integral to the hibachi experience. You get 4 sauces per order and they will sell you additional ones but that's not an option on a delivery platform (so you'll have to call and work that out with the restaurant). Your options are yum yum (pink sauce), diablo (spicy pink sauce), ginger and garlic butter. The ginger was a tad too salty for me but the rest of the sauces passed the vibe test. Don't be scared off by the name "diablo" - it has a slight kick but you won't be breathing . Shout out to Juan who hooked up this first time girlie with extra sauces so she could try them all and indulge in saucing up her meal. Please note the sauce containers are pretty small. Ya'll think you can start sizing up your sauces? I had a promo code so I needed to order a certain minimum. I refused to pay for soda when I have tons here so I went with a side of veggies. The platform said steamed veggies so when I called Juan, I made sure they were hibachi style veggies and not steamed (they were hibachi style). One recommendation would be to offer a side of fried rice. I'd much have preferred that over the veggies. I hope this is an option next time I order. My food arrived warm and I devoured it. I will no longer shed tears over the loss of my other hibachi spot as I've found one I'm just as happy with. As provided above, not only was my food a yummy in my tummy experience, the customer service offered by Juan was also superb. Support this joint and don't you guys leave the Eagle Rock area or I'll once again lose my hibachi go to.
