Wall of fame with Mr. Mori
    Cory Y.

Visitor from Hawaii. Been to my fair share of teppanyaki places where they cook in front of you. Made us feel like me and my family were at home. Love the wall of fame of Mr. Mori and the celebs celebs. Mr. Mori and his team take care. Food was great, service was amazing, vibes were perfect. Came here on vacation as we just stumbled upon it as it was close to our hotel. It didnt disappoint. Prices are very reasonable and the food and service of the chefs and staff were great. When you serve beer bottles in ice, you know they care. I will certainly spread the word and will be back if we are ever in the area.

I have been here before years ago!! During covid and the food remains still the same!!! A Teppan Grill that is simplistic and do not have any sushi options but it's still bomb!!! I ordered the shrimp and chicken and it was delicious!! The soup/ broth was really good!!! Everything is flavorful!!! They have a bar as well!! The service was good and attentive!! Everything we needed came fast! The owner is really nice!! The ambiance can be better!! And more modern!! That's the only reason for the 4/5 it's outdated but that is Besides the point!!! The food is bomb!! It's inconspicuous, but can find it if you look!! Will come Back !! Highly recommend!! -Marshay D.

This Teppan restaurant is a very traditional and nostalgic. They don't even make sushi here. They have your basic Teppan Style cooking. It's a mom-and-pop location and needs few upgrades. The waiters are very efficient, and the cooks make sure you food is cooked to perfection. Service is outstanding and the atmosphere is cool. Easy parking.

The services was sweet and nice. The food was really good and the price was definitely affordable and worth it for the amount of food we received. The ambiance was fun and parking was great.

Awesome food at decent prices. You absolutely must make reservations in advance. They won't even allow take-out orders if they are completely booked. Highly recommend the New York strip and shrimp. The fried rice was just ok. So much food!

Service was slow, drinks were checked on at the very end of the meal and still were not delivered in a timely manner. Rice was under cooked and crunchy and shrimp was burnt around the edges and chicken was over cooked.

Heart shaped fried rice, go show them some love!

At Mori, you always get seated by him. And we went last month for our anniversary and absolutely loved the experience from start to finish. The teppanyaki is the highlight, with skillful chefs who entertain, and cook with a level of precision that reflects Mori's roots as a disciple of the Benihana family. We had the chicken, steak, and lobster tail on the side, all prepared perfectly and full of flavor. It's a place we truly enjoy coming back to, with great food, a warm atmosphere, and service that makes the night feel special every time

Wow -- Hidden Gem in Glendale! If you're in the mood for some of the best hibachi you've ever had, I would definitely check this place out. We were greeted by the super nice Mr. Mori when we arrived and were seated immediately. Within 5 minutes of being seated, they brought out a fresh salad and the best miso soup I think I have ever had as an appetizer. For my main protein, I ordered the chicken and shrimp, but we also ordered the steak and lobster. The steak was a perfect medium rare and the shrimp was amazing! "More butter, more better!" The chicken was perfectly cooked, still juicy. The lobster tasted fresh, and all of the food was done cooking and on the plate in a timely fashion. The coke they have comes in a plastic bottle, so you get more than you would from a can and if you don't finish it you can take it home. The waitresses were friendly and helpful. There were people celebrating a birthday and you could tell they go there a lot. They seemed super satisfied with their meal and left really happy. The bathroom was clean and fully stocked with soap and toilet paper. Over all, it was a great experience and I will definitely be back!

Today was my first time visiting your restaurant, and we had an amazing experience. It felt more like a museum or an art space than a regular restaurant--at one moment, it even felt like being in a circus. It was truly enjoyable. The food was very delicious, the atmosphere was excellent, and the staff were very kind. Chef Billy and the waitress Kath if I'm not wrong So caring and welcoming In the end, I asked the owner if I could take a picture with him, and he said, "Of course." Then I took a photo with this lovely man, and my husband said, "My wife is going to be famous--good thing we're together." The owner was very humble and hospitable. A lot of people celebrate their birthdays in this beautiful restaurant and really enjoy it. Yes, I definitely recommend this place.

Good, not great. This is a typical teppan Japanese grill. Their flavors have no garlic. If they add garlicx it would probably taste better. The fried rice is literally just fried rice and egg. There was no chicken added to it. If it had chicken, it would have been so much better. The filet mignon was good. It was cooked nicely. Again, no garlic flavor. The seasoning they used basically was salt and pepper. I tasted no other flavors. I think this is why I was not a huge fan of this place. The chef was nice. He saw I wasn't eating part of my steak because it was too raw and asked if I wanted it cooked more, I said that would be great. He made it right. I would not return. The lack of flavor is disappointing. It was too much money for what it is. The parking is free. It is a weird inner lot right next to the restaurant. I had to call the restaurant for more information to help find it. The location is across the street from Ralph's.

Ask the Community - Mori Teppan Grill

The business never seems to answer their phone, no way to make reservations online, is it walk-in only?

I've left reservation info on their answering machine in the past and when my party arrived date/time my reservation has been in their book. Leave number so they can call if date/time isn't available.

    How much por person?

Depends on the dish. Around 25 - 30 a person not including drinks. Well priced for such large portions

Does mori require just vaccination cards or vax cards and masks as well?

    No they don't

Voice mail says you're temporarily full booked & not taking reservations; does this include walk ins as well?

I don't think so. I was able to walk in but I came at 5:30p on a Friday, no line or wait. However,…

Has anyone been able to make a reservation? It just rings and goes to a message that says reservations are full. So odd. I mean, full until when?

Their answer machine always says they are "fully booked." Just leave a message with your name, number and how many people in your party for what day and they will return your call confirming a reservation.

Hi, I would like to make dinner reservation for 11/20 . How do I go about?

Call them directly, the owner is really nice, he will do best best to add you to the reservation list

Hi I been trying to call to make a reservation but nobody answers the phone. I have left a few voicemails and nobody has gotten back to me. How can I confirm the reservation?

My first visit to King Tut's Hibachi food truck was amazing. The food was seasoned perfectly, the rice was cooked properly & the filet pieces were big, generous chunks. The portions are very fair for the prices, two people can easily share one plate. I left impressed, happy & excited for their small business. However, after going back several more times, the inconsistency has been disappointing. On multiple visits, the rice was undercooked & grainy. I actually called the owner directly about it because I didn't want to leave a negative review, I wanted him to have the opportunity to fix it & be aware of it directly. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like much has changed. Last night was especially disappointing. The rice was undercooked again, & filet was cut into very small bits. It had so much pepper & salt that it wasn't edible, all I could taste was pepper. You couldn't even add the sauces on top because it would have made it even saltier. It honestly felt like a waste of $88 on two plates. The flavor was completely unbalanced compared to my first visit. There's also a pricing issue with the menu that customers should be aware of. Ordering a plate of double filet & a plate of double shrimp (to share at home), costs about $5 more than ordering two filet & shrimp combo plates. The receipt didn't provide a breakdown either, so as a customer you really have to study the menu & structure your order carefully to avoid paying more for essentially the same amount of food. I brought this to the owner's attention. He did offered $5 cash back, which I appreciated, but the real issue is not being able to fully trust the pricing structure. The owner is genuinely very nice, that's why I've given multiple chances & brought up concerns directly to him. He does seem like he's taking down feedback when you mention issues with the food, but when you come back & don't see improvement, you start to question it. As a customer, I need to be able to trust the pricing structure & expect consistency in the food. I truly hope they improve because when it's good, it's really good.

I could fill-up on their salmon sashimi alone (I definitely get a plate to start with) & be decently satisfied. That said, there's so much here to be pleased with. It's no secret that many buffets have done away with crab legs. Sometimes, I wonder how many populations of crab my family has decimated alone. But I have to admit, during this visit I've literally never seen 2 people put away so many crawfish - (in my humble opinion, the "poor man's lobster"). I'm not trying to exaggerate, but I feel like these 2 people alone put crawfish on the endangered species list. There's a decent variety of Sushi, Asian-American, American, & a grill-to-order-station. The dessert selection has a decent variety of fruits, your standard buffet pastries, & an unmistakable ice cream freezer (to scoop from gallons). Pro-Tip: When scooping ice-cream, it always helps to dip the scooper & rinse it under the running facet - it also helps to prevent cross contamination of different flavors. Another tip: Don't even think of trying to "sneak-in" crab legs onto your plate by only paying the lunch price - the staff always knows who has paid for the extra price of dinner.

The servers were very thorough when clearing the dirty plates and refilling everyone's drinks. Unfortunately, they were less thorough when loading/unloading clean/dirty dishes. My group's table was near this area, and the sound of silverware and plates being dumped and loaded into bins and carts reoccurred every few minutes and interrupted conversations. I will split up the food into two parts, seafood and everything else. Seafood- I do not eat seafood, so I took my family's word for it. They were very satisfied with the crab legs and the crawfish. They said it was worth the 40 dollars and they filled their bellies with multiple plates. My girlfriend said the shrimp did not taste good or fresh. All of the other food- i tried most of the other items, but I honestly only enjoyed one row of selection: the stir fry area. This included chow mein, beef and broccoli, sesame chicken, and black pepper beef. This was the most flavorful and fresh set of flavors I experience during. My dinner. Also, the chicken wings were cooked perfectly. Unfortunately they needed sauce. Fuji buffet offers quite a few sauces, but none paired well with the wings. Also the restaurant provided 4 giant bottles of sauce, but they were not all labeled and they were admittedly dirty on the outside. In short- they were slippery to the point where they slide out of my grip. Also, the bottles had sauce dripping outside of them and needed to be clean. So, I decided to pass on them. The desert area was nice, but the items did not feel or taste fresh. The cream puffs were soggy and the tiramisu fell flat. Either all of these things considered 3/5 for sea food lovers. 2/5 for sea food avoiders
