Chicken and shrimp
Marshay D.

I have been here before years ago!! During covid and the food remains still the same!!! A Teppan Grill that is simplistic and do not have any sushi options but it's still bomb!!! I ordered the shrimp and chicken and it was delicious!! The soup/ broth was really good!!! Everything is flavorful!!! They have a bar as well!! The service was good and attentive!! Everything we needed came fast! The owner is really nice!! The ambiance can be better!! And more modern!! That's the only reason for the 4/5 it's outdated but that is Besides the point!!! The food is bomb!! It's inconspicuous, but can find it if you look!! Will come Back !! Highly recommend!! -Marshay D.

This Teppan restaurant is a very traditional and nostalgic. They don't even make sushi here. They have your basic Teppan Style cooking. It's a mom-and-pop location and needs few upgrades. The waiters are very efficient, and the cooks make sure you food is cooked to perfection. Service is outstanding and the atmosphere is cool. Easy parking.

Let me start off by saying in their defense, my party of 6 did not have reservations and it was Valentine's Day. We waited almost 40 minutes to be seated, which wasn't a problem because we had a birthday girl who chose this dinner, no biggie. However, once we were seated at 8-ish our cook didn't get to our table until an hour later. Sure they brought us drinks, salad and miso soup (which was lackluster) so we had to add a bit of soy sauce. Which also wasn't a big deal. However, we all were so tired by the time the food arrived, we ate and didn't even realize our chef didn't even give us a performance. Although the food was good, I literally and genuinely feel like I robbed and held hostage and paid them for $400 for it! I just know for future reference whenever someone suggests Teppanyaki it's a HELL NO for me! Uncle loves you though

The services was sweet and nice. The food was really good and the price was definitely affordable and worth it for the amount of food we received. The ambiance was fun and parking was great.

Awesome food at decent prices. You absolutely must make reservations in advance. They won't even allow take-out orders if they are completely booked. Highly recommend the New York strip and shrimp. The fried rice was just ok. So much food!

Service was slow, drinks were checked on at the very end of the meal and still were not delivered in a timely manner. Rice was under cooked and crunchy and shrimp was burnt around the edges and chicken was over cooked.

Cooking the fried rice :)

Wow -- Hidden Gem in Glendale! If you're in the mood for some of the best hibachi you've ever had, I would definitely check this place out. We were greeted by the super nice Mr. Mori when we arrived and were seated immediately. Within 5 minutes of being seated, they brought out a fresh salad and the best miso soup I think I have ever had as an appetizer. For my main protein, I ordered the chicken and shrimp, but we also ordered the steak and lobster. The steak was a perfect medium rare and the shrimp was amazing! "More butter, more better!" The chicken was perfectly cooked, still juicy. The lobster tasted fresh, and all of the food was done cooking and on the plate in a timely fashion. The coke they have comes in a plastic bottle, so you get more than you would from a can and if you don't finish it you can take it home. The waitresses were friendly and helpful. There were people celebrating a birthday and you could tell they go there a lot. They seemed super satisfied with their meal and left really happy. The bathroom was clean and fully stocked with soap and toilet paper. Over all, it was a great experience and I will definitely be back!

Good, not great. This is a typical teppan Japanese grill. Their flavors have no garlic. If they add garlicx it would probably taste better. The fried rice is literally just fried rice and egg. There was no chicken added to it. If it had chicken, it would have been so much better. The filet mignon was good. It was cooked nicely. Again, no garlic flavor. The seasoning they used basically was salt and pepper. I tasted no other flavors. I think this is why I was not a huge fan of this place. The chef was nice. He saw I wasn't eating part of my steak because it was too raw and asked if I wanted it cooked more, I said that would be great. He made it right. I would not return. The lack of flavor is disappointing. It was too much money for what it is. The parking is free. It is a weird inner lot right next to the restaurant. I had to call the restaurant for more information to help find it. The location is across the street from Ralph's.

Heart shaped fried rice, go show them some love!

At Mori, you always get seated by him. And we went last month for our anniversary and absolutely loved the experience from start to finish. The teppanyaki is the highlight, with skillful chefs who entertain, and cook with a level of precision that reflects Mori's roots as a disciple of the Benihana family. We had the chicken, steak, and lobster tail on the side, all prepared perfectly and full of flavor. It's a place we truly enjoy coming back to, with great food, a warm atmosphere, and service that makes the night feel special every time

Ask the Community - Mori Teppan Grill

The business never seems to answer their phone, no way to make reservations online, is it walk-in only?

I've left reservation info on their answering machine in the past and when my party arrived date/time my reservation has been in their book. Leave number so they can call if date/time isn't available.

How much por person?

Depends on the dish. Around 25 - 30 a person not including drinks. Well priced for such large portions

Does mori require just vaccination cards or vax cards and masks as well?

No they don't

Voice mail says you're temporarily full booked & not taking reservations; does this include walk ins as well?

I don't think so. I was able to walk in but I came at 5:30p on a Friday, no line or wait. However,…

Has anyone been able to make a reservation? It just rings and goes to a message that says reservations are full. So odd. I mean, full until when?

Their answer machine always says they are "fully booked." Just leave a message with your name, number and how many people in your party for what day and they will return your call confirming a reservation.

Hi, I would like to make dinner reservation for 11/20 . How do I go about?

Call them directly, the owner is really nice, he will do best best to add you to the reservation list

Hi I been trying to call to make a reservation but nobody answers the phone. I have left a few voicemails and nobody has gotten back to me. How can I confirm the reservation?

The service was great and the food was really good and the portions are huge. All of the servers and chefs pay attention to small details and made sure to provide us with refills and great service. Once pretty big issue I had was how hot it was inside the restaurant at all times. The thermostat inside said 84 and it really felt even hotter. Although I understand we went during the peak of summer heat and there is constant cooking with fire going on, the temperature inside the restaurant is almost unbearable. We were sweating the whole time.

The chef and servers/host were friendly but the service was not great. They asked if it was my first time there and I said yes but they didn't explain the menu options or what anything comes with. Everyone in my party ordered an entree like the filet mignon, New York strip, ocean treasure and surf side. The menu listed 5 or 6 course entree but the server didn't explain any of that nor ask what our preference is. All we got was salad, soup, and the main course. We didn't even all get the shrimp appetizer that the meal supposedly came with nor were we offered drinks or green tea like the menu said. Only the people who got entree with seafood got it but not the ones that got steak. Yet the server tries to upsell you on everything asking if you want "truffle butter" with that or upgrade the white rice to the "chicken fried rice". She made it out like you will regret not upgrading. I got the "surf side" and it didn't come with the "colossal shrimp" like it said. It was just tiny shrimp that might have been the appetizer. It took an hour for the chef to appear after we sat down. His performance was sloppy and messy but the kids at the table liked it. When he served the rice, the surface of the bowl was covered in oil and rice. The trick that was the "volcano" was just stacking rings of onions in top and lighting the whole cooking surface on fire. It didn't look anything like a volcano. And even though the other tables had special lighting and effects we didn't because the battery died. You would think that the staff would check the batteries on these things after waiting all night for the food to be served. The whole thing seemed poorly executed and underwhelming. Everyone except one person in my group upgraded to the chicken fried rice and at the end he didn't even get his rice. We asked the chef about it and he did have someone bring it over. For the most part, the servers/host disappears right after you put in your order and don't ask if you're missing anything. They only reappear to ask for your payment at the end. The salad was fresh but I would have preferred not having the dressing slopped on top but in a separate bowl. The dressing didn't have any flavor but made the lettuce soggy. The onion soup was not bad but they use dehydrated mushrooms instead of fresh mushrooms in the soup. The chicken fried rice was just ok. It's not life changing the way the server/host made it out to be. The experience generally felt like watching someone in chefs gear cooking in bad lighting while attempting to remember everyone's orders. The dinner felt very chaotic. And since this is at the mall, finding parking can be an issue.

Their hot food section had a lot of tasty stuff like Thai chicken, stir fry beef, fried fish and calamari and so on. I also like that they have clam chowder. I wish they have more varieties of the grill section. They don't have boneless beef steaks other than marinated galbi with bones. Ice cream section was cleared out when my kids went for a second round and never got replenished before we decide not to wait anymore. It would be great if they can replenish dishes often. Ambiance is well-lit, and spacious. Overall, a very solid buffet experience and worthy of returning.

They have a nice selection of seafood, sushi, hot dishes, and other buffet favorites. The food was okay overall--not bad, but nothing particularly outstanding either. It's a good option if you want plenty of choices and want to try a little bit of everything. Drinks are extra. Prices may change, so check before visiting. Hours: * Sunday-Thursday: 11 AM-9:30 PM * Friday-Saturday: 11 AM-10 PM Parking: Honestly, the parking situation was horrible! Finding a spot was frustrating, and the shared parking area made things even more difficult. Be prepared for a little headache, especially during busy times. Overall, Fuji Buffet has a good variety of seafood and plenty of options to choose from, but the food was just okay and pretty standard for an Asian buffet. The biggest downside for us was definitely the parking. It's worth considering if you're craving a buffet with lots of selections, but don't expect anything extraordinary. Final verdict: A decent buffet for the variety, especially the seafood, but the parking situation definitely takes away from the experience!
