Terrible service, terrible job, very forgetful. I recommend avoid this place. The hyper quick talking owner "Jay" overcharged me for undersized batteries that only worked for a couple months because they were incorrect size for my bike. Charged me a fee to inspect the bike and prepare price quote for necessary services, he didn't write anything down and forgot to order the parts -- After a couple months I asked him if the parts were in and he totally forgot about everything... I gave him another chance and paid him again for a second inspection for service items... he said "I'll email you a quote and order the parts then we'll service it when the parts arrive" -- He never called back or sent email. I'm totally disgusted with this guy... If I can save just one potential customer from using this place, then I'm happy. read more

just bought my first moped and jay was more than helpful! he thought me how to ride one around the neighborhood. i came here about a month ago and he informed me that they were going to have a new shipment of mopeds coming in and it would be best to just wait for that. as soon as it came in, jay shot me a text to let me know that the mopeds were available. he gave me another refresher course on how to ride one and took his time with me. jay was very patient and friendly which made it easier to get comfortable with riding a moped as a beginner. they also have really good prices - i've seen other moped places sell the same mopeds for about half more than moped garage! this is definitely the best place to buy one. everyone is also very friendly and helpful!!! read more

Just bought a new Soleil Pro moped here. Could not be happier. Its design looks like a motorcycle. 4-stroke does not burn oil into the air behind me. High seating on fat tires allows the rider to have a clear view of traffic in front. VERY peppy. Gets 60+ mpg. Needs little regular maintenance. Price was right. Garage treats me as if I'd just bought a new Tesla rather than a moped! This bike gets a 5-star review from me. read more

I already had a 5 star review for Moped Garage, but I'm updating it since I had another great experience with them. My moped was 4 year old. It started to stall here and there. JP explained to me that at this point, parts are getting too old and breaking down here and there. But no one knows which parts are going to break at which point. He also told me that it would cost at least $200 to exchange all the old parts and if he were me he would buy a new moped (and be stress free). So I got a new moped from them. It's running great! The great part was that they kindly brought the old moped back to life so that I would have a little easier time selling it. Thank you KJ for your help and tips to sell the moped!! I booked an appt online really easily and brought in my Soleil moped for an oil change and safety inspection. I just left my moped there for the day and went back before closing. JP and Chasten were very friendly and helpful, and they have a cute doggy in the shop that likes to run around. My moped had trouble with starting and idling and at the end of the day, I had to get a new carb. Works great now! Went back to them the next day with my new plate and took JP less than 10 min to put it on and complete the paperwork for me. (The Ala Moana city satellite station has plates on hand- very convenient to just walk over to the mall for the plate after the safety check. They only take cash/ check though.) As a woman, I'm always afraid of being taken advantage of by a mechanic because I don't know if they're telling me the truth or picking my pocket. The team at Moped Garage went above and beyond my expectations and proved themselves trustworthy and having my best interest in mind. I dropped the keys to my moped and the chain lock that I used to secure it. I didn't realize it until I came back to it and the lock was gone. Why they didn't take the moped too, I have no explanation. But the key to it was in a stranger's possession. (I had 2 identical sets of keys) I randomly went to Moped Garage and explained what happened. I was told they could replace the ignition, storage and gas locks plus 2 sets of keys for under $100. I said, "Do it!" As I was about to leave, the mechanic came after me to ask if I wanted them to do the safety inspection since mine was 2 months outdated. I was new to Hawaii and didn't know about that. So for $13 it saved me the potential of getting a ticket. It was ready when promised. I picked out a new chain lock which they discounted for me because of the unexpected expense of having the locks changed. They made sure I knew that maintenance would be due on it at 1,500 miles and they'd be happy to do that for me if I wanted to bring it back. But the real "above my expectations" moment was a small one. As they were bringing my moped out, they stopped to check the air pressure in my tires. It took less than a minute but it made me feel well taken care of as a person, not just a customer. read more

Went here because everyone else was out of stock on mopeds.. Realized they have GREAT ratings and had what we needed for a really good price. We ended up getting a used model which JP honored a 3month grace period on to make sure it is reliable. I have been screwed over by about 3 moped businesses. Everything from a bike that was in and out of the shop 12 times over 8 months, to selling me a shit bike and charging me way too much for a tow, to warranties that certainly don't include what you think they would. I started going to JP about 2 years ago because I was COMPLETELY fed up. He has been a godsend. JP is three things: a) fair, b) honest, c) reasonable in price, and d) a damn good mechanic. He has fixed all the minor damages that I have unintentionally inflicted to my little Taotao. He also only charges you for the parts. I'm the type of person that freaks out easily especially when it comes to problems regarding motor vehicles, of which I know nothing about whatsoever.
