Definitely recommend!!! I am a first time moped owner and Danny, the person who sold me the moped at Apex, allowed me to test drive the model I was thinking of purchasing. He was extremely helpful in learning the best ways to ride, care, and maintain the moped. It comes with a year warranty for engine maintenance and the prices are very affordable. Danny was very transparent on the difference in pricing and models and what would work best for you! read more

Such a great experience.... Danny and Bree were excellent to work with. Danny made a great suggestion for my daughter as she is a bit on the shorter side. She ended up getting an Islander (Sky Blue). super awesome people! super helpful and fixed my moped fast along with fixing me a rental for the time being!

I want to give a huge shoutout to the team at Apex Motors -- especially Danny (the owner), Trinity (in sales), and the incredible mechanic crew. Earlier this year, I purchased a first-release new model, and as expected with such a rare situation, a minor complication came up. The way the team handled everything was truly outstanding. They showed genuine aloha spirit throughout the entire process -- even making sure I had a rental option available while the minor fix was being taken care of. They were patient, supportive, and fully committed to making sure I was taken care of. Danny leads with honesty, Trinity was professional and kind, and the mechanics clearly take great pride in their work. I highly recommend Apex Motors to anyone looking for a team that stands behind their customers and treats them like ohana. Mahalo to all of you! And if I showed a little mainland attitude at any point, I sincerely apologize -- I absolutely love my moped! read more

I came in while shopping for a moped for my niece and had such an awesome experience from start to finish. The aloha spirit here is real. Tristen was fantastic, she was super friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. As someone newer to mopeds, I really appreciated that they offer a free lesson for beginners, and the option for a test drive if you want a little extra confidence. That balance of fun and safety really stood out. The entire staff was wonderful, Corey and everyone else were pleasant, helpful, and made the whole process feel relaxed and enjoyable. No pressure at all, just good vibes. It was also great to learn that they can service the moped in the future, which gives peace of mind beyond the initial purchase. If you're looking for a moped shop in Hawaii with great people, solid support, and true island energy, this place is a gem. Highly recommend. Mahalo! read more

I bought my moped from here over a year ago, and it's been my go-to shop ever since. Whether I need a repair, maintenance, or even a tow, I always call them. Purchased a moped here at Apex with the help from Tristan. She provided great customer service and helped me with all the questions I had. They also asked if I know how to operate/ride a moped as well so don't be afraid to say something if you need to learn more about mopeds, better to be safe. I'll update accordingly when my moped goes for its first check up. Mahalos! Drive carefully! read more

Awesome customer service. Brought my young moped to life. I'm coming back service again. I recommend great and devoted service. Mahalo.

I had an excellent experience buying a moped with Apex Mopeds. I had been looking for about a week writing people on facebook marketplace looking for a good deal but with little luck communicating with people. Called Apex on a whim and they had multiple used bikes for sale at similar prices as the offline sellers and with more confidence that the bikes were in good shape. I've been riding it for weeks now around Honolulu and have zero complaints! read more

I was referred to Apex Mopeds by my coworker for some upgrades to my moped to give it that extra boost. After getting a quote I opted for it to be picked up from my job location and then dropped off when the work was completed. And let me tell you the customer service and communication at this shop is 110% Best of Best. Danny and the crew delivered on every aspect. Shout out to Corey who got everything dialed in and running crisp. Even my initial call to the store was handled professionally and explained in a way that I could understand what I wanted to have done. The moped is running exactly the way I wanted it and everything was completed in less than a day. Apex Mopeds comes highly recommend in my books for their sales, servicing and upgrades to your 2 wheels. Mahalo again to Danny and the entire crew! read more

I actually called a couple of places to price around before I called Apex. They were super straightforward with the price and easy to work with. Cleaned out the carb for and gave me a run down of the basics of riding the moped once I bought everything. He even helped recommend the most heavy duty lock seeing as theft has been so bad lately. Overall this was a quick and easy process with very helpful employees. If you're looking for a moped check em out! read more

I am writing to address a series of concerning incidents regarding services provided by Apex Motorsports. As the representative of Jordyn Brown, I wish to bring to your attention a disconcerting pattern of behavior exhibited by your establishment. Over the past three years, Apex Motorsports has repeatedly conducted unnecessary work on a moped belonging to me (step father) and despite the moped being in perfect condition. On the dates of November 26th, 2023, and November 19th, 2023, unauthorized services were performed without the explicit permission of the registered owner. Moreover, it has come to our attention that these actions were carried out without regard for the disabled status of the owner, which constitutes a troubling exploitation of vulnerability. This disregard for proper authorization and the financial well-being of a disabled individual raises serious ethical and legal concerns. We kindly request a formal explanation for these unauthorized services and actions taken against a vehicle that did not require any maintenance. Additionally, we request a refund for the charges incurred for the unauthorized work. We expect a prompt and satisfactory resolution to this matter. Failure to address these concerns may result in further legal actions being pursued. If I don't hear from you , u will hear from The Star Bulletin, KHON, as well as the better business bureau. I have contacted my close advisors and attorneys who have advised me to contact them immediately should 1) my money isn't recovered to me, 2) should you take advantage of my disabled step son who is diagnosed with multiple conditions that you all know he has and has stolen from him more times than I can count. Prior to Jordyn becoming my son , his mother was a single mom of 3 kids working as a nurse for the Air Force and a Veteran. I come from a long line of family starting from my Great Grandfather. You will hear from my attorneys, public relations executives, as well as my colleagues who are with the BBB and the state of Hawaii. read more

If you're looking to buy a new moped, go somewhere else. I bought my moped brand new from this place and it broke down on my ride home. When I picked it up after they had to tow it, it was put together wrong. This happened AGAIN after my first oil change. Now, six months later, my horn continuously blows. When I called to have it checked, they told me to "just fiddle with the button" and offered to check it if it "keeps happening" even after I told them if had been happening for a week. Now, I am a customer of Moped Garage JP Powersports and they have taken much better care of me. read more

I quit going to this place for Oil changes / Maintenance for my moped because I caught them making up things and charging me for it. The first time they said they had to replace the spark plug cap because it was rusted. I came back a week later about something else and they told me they had to replace the spark cub cap due to rust... This new guy didn't know they already played me for that a week earlier... Several months past, and I bought a new moped from a different place but got a Nail in my tire. Apex was the only place close to where I live that I could push my moped to, so I called them and asked how much to patch a tire, they said $25.00. So, I walked my moped a mile to their shop and when I went to pay the guy said $62.00. WHAT???? They will scam you!!!! BEWARE!!! read more

I would put 4.5/5 if that was an option. I bought my first moped here and everyone is nice! I wasn't able to pick up my moped after I dropped it off recently for an oil change and they were able to hold it overnight with no additional charges. Another thing I witnessed was an unhappy customer in front of me and one of the employees was able to reason with them to agree. Service is usually fast and will give an ETA for how long something will take if asked. Prices are fair, as they have to charge for parts and services to make a living. They have rentals for you to drive around/back home until your moped is finished. I've been with them for a year and I have only one complaint. Several months ago, I took in my moped for them to fix my rear rack. A screw stripped the hole after being ripped out and they tried to fix it, but it never held and continued to be loose. I was charged around $30-40 for it when I later realized it needed a bigger screw to fit the new hole. That cost me around 50 cents to a dollar to buy and is still holding strong to this day. Even though the problem wasn't fixed, they were still helpful in trying to find a solution. To improve this, ask other employees how to fix the situation or how to improve it if you feel it isn't secure enough. It took a few pulls on the rack and it was loose, that isn't fixing it. Overall, I still recommend this place because their general services are amazing! Danny the owner is very nice and will help out any new owner of a moped learn before they drive away. I felt no patronizing when I first came in asking questions. read more

Had an instance to need a repair on a motorbike that had been involved in an accident. The team at Apex retrieved the motorbike, repaired the damage and had the owners back on the road within a day at less than the estimated cost. Typically do not utilize mopeds, however to those that do, I would not hesitate to utilize Apex in the future nor to recommend them. The staff was friendly, professional, and accommodating to my needs. Well done and recognized. read more

Danny is the man! Anyone who knows me knows that I love mopeds, so when I first got to Hawaii I immediately looked up a moped shop. I found Apex Mopeds, owned by an awesome fellow named Danny, who hooked me up with a sweet ride. It's a brand new 4-stroke moped that goes about 35 mph on the flats (50mph on a nice downhill) and has allowed me to see a side of Hawaii that I wouldn't have otherwise. Parking is a breeze here when you have moped, with a car, not soo much depending where you go. If you're in need of transportation and want the freedom that being on 2 wheels brings, hit up Apex Mopeds for sure! read more

Definitely the best staff we have come across. We were getting our daughter a moped for college without knowing anything about them and they made our purchase easy. Kyler is the most down to earth and kind people. I have an embarrassing story-- came to rent a moped without ever having driven one before thinking that it wouldn't be too difficult. Kyler spent thirty minutes with me in the neighborhood behind the store coaching me. At the end, I was too terrified to take the rental out ‍‍‍‍‍ lmao. Went to apex to look for a scooter and Danny made the process quick and painless , bought the revival model moped and got it ready with everything I wanted in just a couple of hours , spent the couple of hours riding around on the loaner moped he provided and was pretty stress free. I did buy a chain lock for $89 to find out it was too thick to pass through the rims but ill go ahead and blame that on myself for not checking before I purchase. I have nothing to say negative will be going to apex for regular maintenance. Thanks Danny ! From : Landor read more

I brought my moped to get my gas tank fixed due to water damage. I also had issues with the window that shows my mileage and gas tank lvl was very foggy so they offered to replace that along with fixing my gas gage since that wasn't working properly as well. I was told all these issues were "fixed". I was riding on the road when my moped stops running. I see that my gas gage lvl is only a little under the full mark. I call the shop and tell them that I'm stuck on the side of the road and that the gas gage they supposedly "fixed" clearly wasn't fixed otherwise I wouldn't have run out of fuel. He tells me I can either push the moped to his shop or push it to the closest gas station or he's going to charge me $50 to pick up my moped even though it is their faulty workmanship that I was left on the side of the road. Terrible business practice. I run my own business as well and I would never charge my guests for my poor workmanship. I paid over $150 in repairs all to have my gas gage still not working properly. read more

One of the biggest rip offs I have personally experienced. buying a moped from them was super simple and easy so at first I was pleased. I came to find out that they are selling lower quality mopeds for the same price as other shops in town. On top of that I have taken it in to be serviced for trouble starting twice. they changed the spark plug cap and charged me 80 dollars each time. (The second time I walked in and said my name and the guy just said that'll be 80 dollars without greeting me or briefly mentioning what they did to fix my moped). I just went to a different moped shop in town and they did the same thing along with an oil change for about half of the price... and I'm not even under warranty with them!!! I never write reviews but I felt like I had to share... i know that Apex looks a lot more "official" and "shiny" than other shops in town but there are plenty other places that are much more reliable and affordable. read more
