Want me to return it at my expense. Told them I'm not paying for towing. So it sits in my shed. Oh yeah I never registered it. If they don't pick it up. Will donate it to a good person. A younger gentleman that was so eager to help answer every question for me and my son. Took the time to explain the bike we purchased and its features. He was passionate during the process and it never once felt like we were a nuisance to him. And my dumbass forgot to tip him smh. But we will be back for my son's maintenance so I'll have the opportunity to do so. Back in the 80's when I rode mopeds to do my paper route, the bikes I had were not as technologically advanced like these bikes sold today. And at the same price point too! When we came to bring our third bike there on Saturday May 30th they said they haven't even looked our bikes. a week passes and we don't hear anything back from them. then more weeks pass and we're asking for an update just to hear the same thing we were told before "we will look at it" i picked up all three bikes on July 8th and absolutely nothing was fixed. these guys are a waste of time. if you want your bike fixed by an honest man i would recommend Dave who is just down the road by the hospital. there were more problems on these bikes from sitting for over a month. this shop deserves a zero star.

My partner received pictures and updates along the way, and I truly appreciated the communication, especially since they had my truck overnight. One challenge was how narrow the entrance is when pulling in, but thankfully that wasn't too much of an issue during drop-off. My experience ended up being 4 stars because I paid $704 for diagnostics and a transmission fluid service, only to be told that the transmission issues would likely continue over time. The recommendation given was that replacing the vehicle might be a better option if we didn't want to continue investing money into the truck. Afterward, I reached back out to ask for a quote on either rebuilding or replacing the transmission so I could better understand my options. Unfortunately, I've waited quite a while without receiving a response. At this point, even after spending the money on the diagnostics and service, the truck is still undrivable and sitting in a parking lot while I continue paying for a rental car. I completely understand that transmission work can be complicated, and I am grateful they were able to inspect my truck since I don't know much about transmissions myself. When I first brought the truck in, I also mentioned an issue with my taillight. I was initially told it would be added to the diagnostics at the end, but it was never looked at. I was later informed that I would need to pay an additional $185 just to diagnose the taillight issue. At that point, I decided to simply pick up the truck. The communication was excellent from start to finish while the vehicle was actively being worked on, but as a returning customer, I do feel disappointed that I haven't received any follow-up regarding the transmission quote. I'm hoping someone from the team can reach back out soon so I can better understand what my next steps and costs may be.

Can anyone tell me what it is that the service department does? Because I don't think that it's actually service. August 7th: Had my Triumph Speed Triple towed there because some turd tried to steal it and they cut the ignition wires. When I brought my bike in, I supplied them with a brand new, sealed OEM ignition switch, so what was needed was to swap the ignition switch and to re-program the ECU to the new key. August 15th: Received a repair estimate (from my insurance agent - that distinction is important). Cycle City would need to order the shear bolts to mount the new ignition switch. Not surprising, they've never had any parts actually in stock whenever I've gone there. Brake pads, Nope. Air Filter, nope. September 4th(4 weeks since I brought my bike there, nearly three weeks since repair estimate was completed): Called Cycle City for an update. Was told that they are still waiting on parts. I was unable to be provided a date as to when the parts were actually ordered or when they would arrive. September 6th: Received an email from my insurance agent stating that the parts had arrived and that my bike would be put in the queue. Great! Shouldn't be long now, right? Right? September 12th: Called Cycle City for an update and was told "Yeah, we're having some trouble programming the key but we are going to call Triumph tomorrow morning to resolve the issue. We will call you back tomorrow." September 13th: Did not receive a call back. September 14th: Called Cycle City multiple times. Every time, went straight to voicemail. Left one message wanting to have a status update. September 15th: Called again and actually spoke to a person! Was told "Yeah, we're having some trouble programming the key. The guy who works on the Triumphs (apparently there's only one) does not work on weekends (this was a Saturday). I am writing a note for myself and I PROMISE I will call you back on Monday with an update." September 17th: Did not receive a call back. September 18th: Called multiple times (straight to voicemail) and left a message. Received a call from my insurance agent at 4:00 PM and was told that Cycle City is having trouble programming the key and that they're probably going to take the bike apart again. I was also told that Cycle City would be calling me soon with an update. It is now 7:00 PM and I'm fairly certain they won't be calling today. It has now been 42 days since I brought my bike there, 5 weeks since the repair estimate was completed, and nearly 2 weeks since parts were received. I haven't heard from them, of course, but I assume that Cycle City will now want to try a different ignition switch. It sure would have been great to have had that checked during the month that the bike was just sitting there waiting to be fixed. I cant imagine that they actually have another switch in stock, so I'm probably looking at around 3 more weeks until I have my only transportation back again (I love buying bus passes! Thanks guys!) This would put the total repair time somewhere over 60 days, assuming there's no other issues. For an ignition switch. Amazing. For those of you who had good experiences with the Cycle City service department, I would love to know your secret. Was I supposed to slip them an extra $100 when I brought my bike in? Maybe put that on the website. read more

The only negative thing I can say about any motorcycle or automotive dealerships in Hawaii is the sticker prices of their vehicles because I have lived on the mainland for the last 24 years. Everyone should know the difference of cost from purchasing something in Texas vs Hawaii etc., which was the hardest thing for me to get over. With this being said everything is negotiable, and if an individual pays considerably above MSRP in a high-demand market then that is on the consumer. With the last statement being out of the way let me tell you my ongoing story with Cycle City. My age in motorcycles is about 1 year old, but I am not a stranger to dealerships. Cycle City by far is the most versatile and complete motorcycle dealership that I have seen on Oahu. The biggest problem I have when I walk in the door is deciding who I want to talk to. I consider most of the people there my friends due to the atmosphere which makes it difficult to pick a favorite sales person. I have purchased two motorcycles in the past year from Cycle City, and I have worked with pretty much everyone there from sales, parts, service, financing and rentals. I have no negative things to say about anyone that works there and the positives are too much to list, but I will attempt to include some of the most important ones: Honest Friendly Dedicated Knowledgeable Keep in mind that this place is always busy but it is not the supermarket of motorcycles because you receive quality one-on-one service from anyone you work with. I will end by saying this; if you walk into the place with a positive attitude and understand it is a business but with real good people working there. You will come out the door feeling like it was an excellent experience. Hopefully everyone gets to experience Cycle City like I have and will continue to do so. read more

first I wanna thank all of the cycle city family. I was amazed at the show room and the customers lounge we met with danni, she was very very helpful. We spoke to her about what type of bikes we were looking for. she suggested the z1000 for myself and i tell you she was right i love the bike. she knew all the bikes, the history of the bikes and she knew what the best prices were. she was not pushy at all to try to sell bikes to us. she made us feel comfortable and excited. my girl friend never rode and she suggested the ninja 250. she also gave her pointers on how to ride and what to expect while on the bike. she let her sit on the bike and showed her every control and made sure she was comfy. Also while walking and talking with danni she helped other employers and customers through the store answering questions and trying to help others feel excited about buying a bike. she has great communication skills and is a great team player Also julie in finance was very very helpful she tried her best to get our payments low and interest rate low as well. my girl friend had issues with her credit but she moved numbers and she was approved. thank you all at cycle city. also three weeks later i was hit by a guy on a cell phone and my bike was totaled. i called danni and she orded the same bike and helmet and one week later i was riding i was stressed and confused on the gap insurance and finance was there to say we got this i was shocked they handled it and im back riding thank you all trust me you will be amazed they also have great parts and service from bikes washing to dyno runs. keep it up ride or die Adam C. . I came into this store looking for something for my husband and I was totally amazed by everything around me, beautiful store I must say. I had come in for a T-shirt and something in the parts department. Girls at front counter where really nice with a warm ALOHA as you walk in. Stopped in the clothing section first and it was awkward because I felt like bait surrounded by sharks lol--I guess it's a competitive thing out there? I was being followed around, feeling pressured to buy something..but none the less, I did. -This is where my complaint comes in-- I did ask a lady there a question although she seemed to good to talk to me, it seemed like she didn't want me around her. The vibe I was getting from her was horrible. She didn't seem friendly at all, she did have an attitude- I just wanted to slap her! Maybe all that makeup she was wearing was clogging up her brain? Sorry sis, all that makeup does not help hide all those craters on your face. :) I went over to the parts department got what I needed (they were soooo nice thank god because I was already in a crappy mood) I asked one of the salesmen who this lady was...come to find out..this BI t ch was a MANAGER for that department! WHAT THE HECK!? Comon Cycle city why do you guys have a manager like this? I am appalled! She has no customer service skills--and the WORST thing is.....I shouldn't even be saying this..people who work theyre agreed she was a ICH! -_- ..I no belive... So 3 stars. AJ Hurgo is the reason cycle city is what it is today. I am a resident on another island and wanted to purchase a PWC. Instead of having to fly over and spend lot of money and time, Aj made my purchasing experience amazing. All I had to do was fill out some forms and mail it back. Next thing I know, the PWC was on its way. It was so easy and I was so please with AJ's service and support. Aj organized everything. From purchase to shipping. Everything went extremely smooth. When I received the PWC, I was blown away to find how organized Aj was on putting all my documents in order. He labeled everything from where to put this to keep this with you. Not only that, I was blown away to find in the owners manual that Aj marked all the important pages and highlighted all the crucial info that I need to know. Now that is what I call customer service. Aj went out of his way to touch bases with to make sure the PWC is running properly, and to make sure I was living my dreams. I did run into a problem with purchasing Yamaha oil online and was baffled on how I was going to get it here. I text Aj, he let me know he was on it, next thing I know, his parts department calls and me and sent my oil for me. UNREAL!! I'm at truly blown away by Aj's excellent service. Cycle city better make sure they take good of Aj. That's the only way I'll do business with them, if Aj is there. Hey Aj, I plan on getting a bike too. Maybe end of next year. My experience at cycle city was above and beyond what i had expected when i first set foot into the store. The first time i walked in to cycle city i was not looking for a new bike but possibly a used motorcycle, and just thought i'd look around. Immediately, someone approached me and gave me a thorough explanation of the options and even allowed me to sit on the Harley bikes just for kicks. I left there without purchasing a bike, but kept contact with one of the sales reps (Kepra) for any potential bikes that comes in. After months I found a private seller who had a 2010 Buell Blast, Buells were made by Harley so cycle city offered to finance the bike and really went the extra mile just to help me out. (thanks KEP!!!) The bike had been sitting for months and did not run, so i was disappointed to know i wouldn't be riding the bike home immediately. Cycle City flushed out the carburetor, and also lowered the seat for me in just 2 days, and here i thought it'd take at least a week!!!! Everyone there is always so helpful and supportive including Dan, Mark who always greets me with a smile, Rich in financing who made the payment process super easy, and Brittany who helped me pick out my helmet. I have purchased 2 motorcycles from Cycle City in the past 5 months. My latest motorcycle was a special order, Triumph Rocket 3 GT Evel Knievel Edition. It took me a few salespeople until I found the right person that could take care of my needs. After a couple attempts to order this motorcycle, I got AJ to take my order. I am new to motorcycles, and have not ridden a motorcycle before my initial purchase at Cycle City on November 1, 2024. After riding for a few days, I knew I was hooked, and shortly after started planning my next purchase. When Triumph released this motorcycle, I knew I had to have it. I grew up in the 70's, so there was no other option for me, than to buy this motorcycle. I did have a few hiccups, but AJ took care of all my needs, from start to finish. I got every option available that I wanted installed on this motorcycle, along with all the additional service contracts I asked for. AJ kept me apprised of the status of my purchase every step of the way, and the motorcycle came in way ahead of what either of us expected (3 weeks). From ordering, updates, to the delivery process, there is no better salesperson than AJ. I didn't realize how bad my first motorcycle purchase went, until I got an extremely competent and professional salesperson like AJ. I've ridden for 30+ years and currently own 4 motorcycles, in the past I have had several friends report really bad experiences with Cycle City, so I have always been a bit cautious. However, my expereince with the service department over the past 2 years has been quite satisfactory - decent price for the work, no delays that weren't due to factory issues, good response from Evan (service writer). Now the bike sales department... what a waste of my time ! -- Went in one day with an offer on a used bike and got the full-blown sales-game run around retail ++jack-up. I've bought & sold over 20 bikes over the years and this was the only time I felt really jerked-around. 2 months + later they still have that same used bike - now marked down below my offer to them and I bet they'll still have it for a long while with the kind of disdain they show buyers. Here's a clue, guys - we are ADULTS. While I can't say they're my first choice, but you could do worse - of course they DO cater to the Pirate-costume loud-pipe Bar&Shield crowd, so if you like to dress up like one of the Village People, maybe you''ll be treated better. Also, what someone else said - picking up parts at the 'service desk' often involves waiting for the employees to finish thier personal business before they can be 'bothered' with you, unless you are wearing a leather vest, I suppose. read more

This is by far the worst dealership ever. I have been to EVERY single motorcycle dealership on this island, and by far this is the worst. The two departments that have the worst customer services is the parts department, and the back corner department where the sell sport bike accessories. Also, Tony Burris has a very bad attitude. He is a Finance & Insurance Associate/ Sales Associate. He talks to you like he knows everything about you, and pretending he knows how much money you have, and etc, etc.. So as a customer, I felt that this is very rude and disrespectful. Last and not least, the parts department services are horrible. When I ask a question regarding if a placement of my rear reflector matters for my safety check. He answer him with "it depends on the safety check inspector". This does not answer my questions, it is a simple yes, or no question. Also, he was not willing to find out, and was just annoy about the fact that he needs to help me. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM CYCLE CITY, I MEAN ANYTHING. By the way, I will spread this words to every single person in this world about the terrible customer service you have, and tell them not to buy from you. If you want to buy a harley davidson, go to South Sea Cycle, they are cheaper, and have way better customer services. read more

I purchased my very first Harley back in October 2011. I had a fantastic salesman Vince, who let me ride about 7 or 8 different bikes so I knew exactly which bike was best suited for me. I got a great deal on my Honda trade in and I'm really pleased with my new 2012 Harley Super Glide Custom. I've bought several add-ons, i.e. solo seat, Ice collection license plate and side covers, etc. and I have "NEVER" been treated with anything other than courtesy, and good customer service. I've spoken to the managers, sales clerks, parts, and service department employees, and every one I've had the pleasure to work with has been both professional and customer service oriented. They know their stuff, and are friendly and helpful every time I have ever visited the store. I'm not sure why some people have had such bad experiences, but they have always done right by me. I don't think it is ridiculous for them to offer free t-shirts to those who respond by writing a review on yelp. The t-shirts are an incentive to get folks interested enough to take time out of their day to do a little something extra for them. To me, it shows smart business, and the fact that they want to learn where their short falls are, and what it is they are doing right.... read more

Cycle City is the place to be. I bought my second Harley Davidson there. My wife and I went in and looked at a bike I had saw on Craigslist. We both loved the nice show room and wonderful sales people. We bought the bike of my dreams at the price listed on the internet, no hassles. After we bought the bike, I met the director of the local HOG chapter, 'Walker'. I joined up with the HOGS to enjoy some group rides. A month after that my wife was diagnosed with a very rare lymphoma (blood cancer). I love my bike and my wife, so we use the bike for the long rides to the doctors, due to gas cost and parking fees. Our cage (other car) is a gas hog suburban and we live way outa town. Two weeks ago I asked the HOG chapter if they could help up get a sissy bar for the bike. Currently due to all the medical expenses we cannot afford to get one on our own. My wife is starting on chemotherapy and I don't want her to fall of the Harley. I just got a call from the HOG director, apparently, Dan Ryan, the Manager of the dealership has offered to donate the entire sissy bar, pad and installation of said equipment. Thank you and Praise the Lord. I will throw out a new review after it gets installed. read more

I am military recently stationed here in Oahu. I had heard bad stories about maintenance and service from Cycle City. This is my experience... I needed a 5000mi service for my 2010 Fat Bob. I filled out the maintenance appointment form online on a Monday morning requesting an appointment that Monday afternoon. Within 3 hours I had an email response to bring it in that afternoon. I brought it in that afternoon and it did not take 15 minutes for them to do the inspection, paperwork and take it in. Without me even asking they gave me a 10% discount for being military (I was in uniform. Take your ID with you if in civilians...). They also had a free $25 dollars gas card offer for spending at least $350.00 on services/parts. I asked to pick it up the next day and they said no problem. I picked it up the next day as promised. Not only was it ready on time but also they had washed the bike for me. I would say I had a great experience at this dealer! Even without a free T-shirt offer for this review I would have written one. The T-shirt is just a cherry on top! With the discount, the gas card and T-shirt I ended up paying less than I would have for the same service in the main land. Thanx Cycle City. read more

SEE JIMBO!!! DUDE IS LEGIT AND WONT LIE TO YOU!!Great place to buy a new bike, the experience is fast and since they got the new GM it runs awesome inside feels a lot more trustworthy than it did a few years ago. Sales blow service and parts out of the water when it comes to customer service. Definitely think twice about a trade in though cause this place is not gonna work with you at all when it comes to trade in's you will loose serious amounts of money. Thought about trading mine in and over the span of 18 months they wanted me to eat 12k. Nope. Hope this new management sticks around, hell it'd be nice if he could get the service department to step their game up and stop doing lazy a** work. UPDATE: The day following my review I was contacted by the GM out at Cycle City and I'll tell you what he took the time to make the situation right. He didn't throw money at the problem he didn't just check the box. This guy was genuinely concerned and took action. Changed my review to five star solely for the reason that this guy took the time to fix it and didn't just send me some automated email. This guy and his business ethics are an absolute asset to Cycle City. read more

Unbelieveably poor customer service. I arrived at the dealership about a half hour after they opened. (Friday, Feb. 15th) I proceeded to the parts sales counter to find the guy behind the register talking to a buddy of his to my immeadiate right, but both ignored me. I spent the next 2-3 minutes paging through the accessories catalog and made eye contact with him several times, however, they continued thier conversation, and it wasn't even about parts! I figured sooner or later he might at least acknowledge my presence, or at the very least tell me he would be with me shortly, or ask me if I needed any help finding something, but no.....they simply kept talking. I left the dealership pissed off, after only being inside maybe 7-8 minutes. SHAME ON YOU CYCLE CITY! This used to be a great dealership when it was located on the opposite side of Nimitz years ago. They actually cared about customer service back then. Unfortunately, now the dealership is nothing more than an OVERPRICED BOUTIQUE! You have lost me, (and others) as customers forever. After I purchased my husband his first motorcycle a few years bag (a chopper) he wanted to change to a bagger seeing all of his motorcycle retired friends were all riding street glides, road glides, etc. Now of course I couldn't just buy him another one seeing that would really just be crazy.... So i waited for the right time... OUR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY.....I must say when I walked into Cycle city Jimbo was always there to greet me with a smile and never gave any pressure at all........ I had to come back a few times seeing that really I was always on strapped time to ensure my husband wouldn't find out what I was doing. Jimbo was able to help me with all the ways he could whether through the phone or in person. Once I came in to purchase the bike Jimbo wasn't available seeing it was his day off, yet even on his day off he helped to ensure that Joey would make sure everything went smoothly for me. I again was strapped on time yet Joey was a great help as well....... I will for sure be going through Cycle city again with Jimbo seeing there was no drama and it was straight friendly and business. read more

Shocking stats even after offering people a lame T shirt (which you have to pick up in person so they can try and sell you some more stuff)! It doesn't surprise me for one bit the Military Sales Program selling Harley's to our Troops Overseas can deliver Stateside, but not to these people, the brilliant customer service rating of the Military Sales Program would be flushed right down the toilet. The fact that people give a 1 star rating AFTER being offered a shirt proves a few things: 1. Terrible Service 2. Terrible Pricing 3 and most importantly; Even if they offered people a free Harley their service would leave much to be desired to. I cannot comment on the service personally as I have never been there, however just looking at their prices for NEW & USED bikes, I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy to this joint! Take a page (or even note would help you) out of other peoples books people, they get their GOOD or GREAT ratings because of SERVICE people, NOT because they offer a free T Shirt, which has to be picked up in person in the hopes people will spend even more in your shop! read more

I recently ordered a Screaming Eagle 120R motor from Cycle City Hawaii. I would like to Thank Doug and Kalani of the parts department for ordering this motor and making this all possible. Doug put together this whole project by getting all the necessary parts to install this engine in my old 2001 Harley Davidson Fat boy. He also got Harley Davidson electrical air compression releases that were made for a late model bike, and was able to get the information to make them work on my old Harley Davidson Fat boy. I would also like to thank Edmond of the service depart for managing the install of the 120R motor. The installation of the 120R motor was done by Master Harley Davidson Mechanic Ron Harmon. Mr. Harmon does outstanding work on motorcycles. He also installed a SE 117 Kit on my new 2017 Fat Boy S. He will work on your motorcycle like it is his own personal motorcycle. What a great place. I was met at the door with the smell of fresh popcorn! after that I saw the biggest selection of Harley and Kawasaki bikes that I had seen in a long time, certainly the biggest selection in Hawaii. I was just there to get a t shirt and see the new bikes. The selection of t shirts wasn't just clothes it was everything Harley and an equal shot of dirt bike stuff. After the 45 minutes in the clothes department I had to see the new bikes I was met by a salesman who asked if i needed any help or had any questions then he let me just look. When I started to fall in love with a new super glide. I wanted to know what I could get if I traded my bike in. It seemed a fair price and before I knew it I was rolling out on my new bike. My bike was worth more than I thought and the new bike was priced right too. With my trade my payments were right what I could afford. How cool is that ! Go check this place its cool. read more

Worst company ever. Had my Harley towed there and it was left in the parking lot for 5 hours with the key in the ignition. When I finally got the service person to go out and look for it he found it. Once they looked at it, they could not find anything wrong with it...even though it was TOWED there. They charged me $245 for "diagnostics", did not fix the bike and I took it back. I brought it to Domenicos in Kaneohe and Don found the problem in 45 minutes and only cost me $50. They further tore out my LED lights, stuffed them into the engine compartment and did not tell me. I found the lights when it got home. I emailed back and forth with the general manager who blew me off with a too bad so sad attitude. I WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN THEIR STORE AGAIN. Too bad they just bought South Seas Cycles. I only gave them 2 stars because at one star, I was not being factored into their rating. read more

Not as cheap as people think, but maintenance service and replacement of worn parts on your motorcycle is also not to bad. Stay on top of your maintenance. People may not realize what a delicate instrument a motorcycle is, and mine is 10 years old! Call around and you will see that Ted's prices are competitive and he is passionate about bikes and fixing them correctly. He has my business from now on. More parts to come. 4/6/19 Just picked up my bike from Ted. I had valve adjustment done, new intake gaskets, and front fork rebuild (probably from wheelies). The problem is that you can't really see any of that. So I also opted to get LED lights installed. You know, for visibility at night (riiight...). As always, Ted does amazing work and my bike (I wanna say purrs like a kitten...but) ROARS like a lion!!! Yes, fixing a bike is expensive and if you can't afford quality work, perhaps you don't make enough to be a bike owner (or do your own wrench work). Ted is the man. Thanks again Ted!
