Ducks Powersports Repair is located just off the corner of N. King Street and Gulick Ave. American Savings Bank is on the corner and the driveway entrance to get to the shop is on the Ewa side of the bank. The driveway is a right turn immediately after the bank if you're coming from Diamondhead side. If coming from Ewa side, look to make the left turn into the driveway shortly after you pass Texaco, right before the bank. You have to enter from N. King Street. Don't follow googlemaps, it might try to take you through the American Savings Bank parking lot, and there really is no way for you to cross over unless you can go through a wall/fence. Also, headsup, the asphalt parking lot is kind of bussup and there are speedbumps.
I am so happy that fate brought me to this shop. I had originally gone to a dealership to service my bike, but they couldn't take me because my bike is too old, past their age limit of bikes to service because they're too busy. They were nice to give me three names, though, I called the first one, no answer. Next, I called Ducks Powersports, Josh answered and was able to accommodate me by letting me drop off the bike that day.
You know how they say first impressions make a huge impact. As I pulled up to the shop entrance, I was pleasantly surprised to see how clean and organized the shop is. It's not necessarily mandatory to have a clean shop to have good service, but I felt good when I got there. Just be patient if you pull up while Josh is working on a bike, sometimes you can't drop what you're doing right away to be able to greet a customer. There are some parking spots right in front of the shop, so easy.
Josh worked on getting my chain, dampener, and chain guard replaced, as well as safety check. The process was so easy! I told him the bike felt a little off when I throttle up/down, there seemed to be a little lag, I thought it was just the chain, but he was able to see the issue right away. He then prepared the quote for labor and parts. I felt confident my bike was in good hands and that the cost was fair. And it seemed like he was able to work on practically any bike. When it was time to pick up the bike, I was so excited to see my bike parked waiting for me right up front. I don't have children, but it feels like I was picking up my child. And to see it waiting and ready for me when I got there, how do you describe that feeling? I could also see that he works on mopeds too, so go here for your moped needs!
Josh was easy to work with, totally stress-free, fun to joke around with, very professional. He uses a service to communicate with you and also send you the quote via text messaging. So easy! Josh is very responsive. I am so happy that I found his shop. He will be my go-to shop from now on! Not that I want my bike to have issues to have to fix, but at least I can go there for safety check now! read more
