I've been riding for a few years, and finding a shop is tough. Regarding parts, help, questions, or even service. Been to every small shop, and big, but happy to say these guys always delivered. I'm always in and out of this place, and sales member Wade/Rob always helps me every time. I've ordered countless of things and they were always there to help. Went to another big parts store near the airport and sadly they would never come close to the expertise these guys offered. Hands down best parts store in Honolulu. Sadly I've never had my bike serviced here, but whenever that rainy day comes I'll be checking out this place. In June 2022, I placed a $4,000 deposit with Montgomery Motorports in Honolulu, Hawaii, to special order a 2022 Polaris Slingshot SL. I was told that with excellent credit (740+), this down payment would be sufficient to secure financing with little or no additional money down, consistent with industry standards where Slingshots are often financed with 0% down like the offer polaris is offering right now of 0% down and 1.99% for 36 months. However, after the vehicle arrived many months later, I was informed by both Montgomery Motorsports and lenders that I would need to pay an additional $8,000 down--totaling $12,000--to proceed, due to the Defendant's inflated price of $38,676.99, a 20.32% increase over the MSRP of $32,146 and far above the typical sale price of ~$26,000. with a rate of almost 7% with the $12,000 down payment required. Additionally, the promised delivery window was 3-6 months, but the vehicle did not arrive until over 7 months later, well beyond a reasonable time frame. Upon arrival, the Slingshot was severely damaged, requiring over 2 months of additional delays for repairs. Despite never taking delivery, never completing financing, and never receiving the vehicle, Montgomery Motorsports refused to refund my $4,000 deposit. They later resold the same vehicle to another customer, resulting in unjust enrichment and double profits at my expense. read more

Fantastic experience! We went in so that my husband could look at the Hayabusa. Super sport bikes never really seemed to feel right due to how tall he is but we thought we'd give it a try. Rhea, Brittany and the whole crew were so kind and helpful. We felt as though we were instantly a part of the MPS family. Entering the showroom, sport bikes were lined at the front door. To the right, the Indian section. Oh my, the Indian section! Beautiful pieces of Americana artwork begging for a place in your garage. Dirt bikes towards the back lured my son to wander. As expected my husband fell in love with the hayabusa but our story doesn't end there. I sat on the gorgeous Scout Bobber 20 and felt right at home. For a vertically challenged female, it really is difficult finding something this ergonomically comfortable much less beautiful. Needless to say, we each got a new bike. And mind you, I don't even know the first thing about riding. The service department is also fantastic. Unfortunately with all the supply shortages, items are limited. But the guys were great. Do Not get your motorcycle safety check at Montgomery Powersports. They have changed over the years. They used to be a nice, family run business. Not anymore. They failed my safety check for leaking fork seals and then the service guy emailed saying that they can fix it for $945!!!! I then got a quote from REVTEK for replacing fork seals and their quote was $505 (way less than Montgomery). On top of that, I took my bike to another shop and the guy said my fork seals were ok and passed my safety check. read more

That being said, I had everything up to date, read their instructions l, FOLLOWED their instructions, and was in and out quickly according to the morning safety check group (10:30am-11:00am). Really disappointed in the service department here. Got my safety check here and the pink paper was lost. I need to the pink paper to register etc. I went back to ask if I could get a copy since I have still have the safety check sticker with my VIN on it and their safety check station on it. They told me I have purchase a new one, so I told them it's only 6 months old, good for a year and they can look over the bike nothing has changed still safe. Still too lazy to look it up. They say they have the "Best customer service," NOT. Don't waste your money or time here, they're too lazy to look in their computer for the record and another opportunity to make money. Comforting to know that if my bike stayed there overnight they would have it securely stored.. Checked in and the service guy says it's going to take 1 hour min. They called back in 20 min. saying my front brake pads were low and if I would have it replaced, I said yes, but they didn't have replacements in stock. After a few weeks, my bike developed a vibration. I thought I was imagining things, but a couple of more weeks and the vibration was noticeable on acceleration. I decided to stop riding my bike (I ride it daily to work). I took it to that other shop previously mentioned. It took two weeks for them to even take a look at it because of a shortage of mechanics. When they finally got around to diagnosing the problem, it was grim. The damage had already been done. Diagnosis: severe oil starvation! My 4 year old bike would need a rebuild! I'm a total noob. I recently ordered a Sur Ron X ebike, and wanted to pick up some gear for safety. I've never walked into a motor bike shop in my entire life. Upon entering, I was quickly greeted by an employee with a cheerful look on his face. I came right out with it and told him I knew zero about what I needed and wanted advice on helmets. He helped me try on some dirt bike helmets and we both agreed that was a good choice for my Sur Ron. He told me his name was Kim Nakashima as he handed me his business card. He helped me find his largest helmet available (I have a massive yobo head), and it was ever so slightly snug. I really liked the service and knowledge he was providing so I was determined to buy something from him, and asked about riding gloves. He showed me what he thought would be good for me, and I tried them on, and it was a win. Sold. I thanked him, and thought I wanted to check out what Cycle City had before buying more gear. My experience at Cycle City wasn't bad (though I'm rabidly against merchants who upcharge for using a credit card), but I didn't form that connection with the sales person I was working with so I headed back to Montgomery. When we returned, I was cheerfully greeted by Kim again, and I told him I struck out for helmets down the street. I said I'd rather have something than nothing so I picked up the slightly snug helmet (2xl...I know crazy right...I'm like a bobble head doll I guess). I ended up grabbing goggles and a loud jersey as well. Kim and I talked a little more shop, and I told him my dreams of one day owning a KTM690 SM or a Husky 701. He was super cool and encouraging, telling me how much fun super motos are, and how hopefully I would develop some rider sense on my Sur Ron. He also talked to me a bit about the Sur Ron community on the island and how many people use them at the Kahuku track, getting me even more fired up about my incoming bike. I was really pleased with my experience there. I would definitely go back and support that store again. I sometimes forget how much of a difference a great sales person can make when making the decision to spend a little more in a store. They get the job done. It may take months to complete but they do good work. Their products dept and service dept do not talk to each other. So, if you order tires that take 6 weeks to arrive you will have to wait another two weeks to have them installed because there isn't any communication to let the service dept know. The reason they even get 3 stars: 1. CS is terrific. They all treat you like family. Very nice. 2. They work with you on pricing. 3. They fixed my kickstand and: a. I didn't know it was broken, b. They did it without having to ask me or charge me which I thought was incredibly magnanimous of them. read more

We kicked it off immediately and I told him my situation, and he was happy to help, very informative and also told me about the Honoring Heroes program for Servicemen, as he was a veteran himself.
