Now they told me I gotta spend another $2400 to fix the same problem. My other half and I talked business with the owner's daughter Shay Nakamura about the situation and asked certain questions and she couldn't give any feedback to the situation at hand. She tried to give me a discount, but I don't think it was enough, considering I know for a fact they are charging me 3-4x the actual cost for the parts and then will eventually get more money back because of the cores. I text the number they text me with explaining my situation and there were no response. 2 phone numbers they text me from I left a text message, no response. That right there shows me that that they have poor communication skills. Communication was done with text. To be honest, I prefer real conversation with a person/company. I believe that they either did a poor job 2 and a half years ago or the quality of parts they used suck!! I got ripped off the first time and they tried to do that again the second time around. I need it working as soon as possible and Capitol Auto told me they didn't do transmission repair. They referred me to another business but they wouldn't be able to take me for over a week. I found a place that said they would take it that day and areanged a tow. The tow truck driver told me it wasn't a transmission problem which was good news. Still, I sent it to the shop I had made arrangements with. They took my truck in and called to tell me that it would cost, "at least $3,000" because they were going to have to rebuild the whole back end. It was Friday and they told me they would give me a better estimate on Monday. On Saturday, I received a quote via text for $1,600 which included a $300 diagnostic fee. Anyway, I paid the $300 and had my truck towed to Capitol Auto. They checked it out and found a cable that had come loose. They connected and secured it and road tested the truck. They found no other problems. I asked how much my bill was going to be and they did not charge me! Who could ask for more! Capitol Auto is simply amazing! I plan to continue using their services for many years to come and highly recommend them.

The person on the phone told me as long as I brought my vehicle during the hours posted, I would get my safety inspection done. So I did and had no issues, even came back the year after and no issue. Today, I took one of my vehicles there and the guy in the main office said he didn't have anyone doing inspections today and then was very condescending and decided to educate me on why I should call before hand to make sure they were doing inspections that day. He told me I should go to a different place if I just want to walk-in for a safety inspection. I've been in Hawaii for over a decade and have several vehicles, every safety inspection I've ever done has been on a walk-in basis. I get it, people have bad days, emergencies happen and people have to leave work, ownership can change. It just doesn't sit right with me when one person is saying I don't need to be calling and another is lecturing me on why I didn't call and telling me to go somewhere else.
