I was told that the fist service after buying my moped there would be for free, but when I went back, the guy try to charge me a lot of money for what he promised to do for free. When I complained, he started raising his voice and treating me very disrespectfuly. He denied that he offered the first service for free and he called me a liar, when he was the person laying. I told them to do only what the moped needed to get running, and they charged me for new keys, a new gas cap and a bunch of other "repairs" that I'm certain it did not need to get running. I have purchsed 2 new mopeds here and gotten countless work done and everytime I go back the owner is more rude than the last time. I just called him to ask him about buying a 3rd new moped from him because 1st one I wrecked my 2nd one just got stolen on Tuesday and vandalized. I called to ask if I buy a new one from him if he would buy the other one back for parts because it still runs and had some usable parts. he talked to me like I just kicked his dog even after explaining to him this would be the 3rd new moped I got from him in the past year and a half. I talked to their guy for maybe 5 mins. My moped is broken and i need it towed. He talked to me like I killed his mother, stole his girlfriend, and robbed his house. I am honestly appalled by how he spoke to me. He asked where my exact location was. I was in the middle of my sentence when he stopped me and said "I have no idea where that is" and I said, pls give me a second i'm still talking. he asked what was wrong with it. wouldn't let me talk at all. he was like its not starting ok and just kept talking. like hello??? wouldn't u want this critical piece of info? whatever. and then told me a guy would come get it and continued to mock me? it was rlly strange. prolly won't ever go here again and i'd advice u don't either. i work in customer service and i understand u might have bad days and talk to people with mega attitude. but i flat out would never talk to someone like the way he talked to me, even on my worst days. kind of hard to give him the benefit of the doubt when i just don't understand why u would talk to a complete stranger like that. read more

Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else! Pay attention to those negative reports on here. Robert, the guy who basically runs this shop was rude and acted disrespectful. I had to come back to the shop several times after they repaired my moped. 1) They returned the moped with an empty gas tank and called me a "dumbhead" after me being stranded close by the shop. Then they had the audacity to charge me extra for a few drops of gas that they initially emptied during the repair. All of this after paying them several hundred dollars for the job. 2) Several screws on the engine were either completely missing or were not tightened after returning the moped to me. Obviously, they forgot to put them back on or couldn't find them anymore after taking it apart. Instead of admitting their mistake, they made up excuses and blamed me for it. I was told that the screws could have fallen off on the test ride or weren't even there in the first place. Seriously!? 3) After getting my moped back, the speedometer was broken. It worked well for over five years and just happened to break at the exact same moment that they worked on my moped? I confronted them about it but they told me that it must have been a coincidence and it's none of their business. 4) They did not provide me with a proper receipt. I asked them to list the costs for the parts, labor, and taxes. Have a look at the photo attached what they gave me instead. Way to go Moped Doctors! You just lost a costumer for future visits. They also give speedy service as well and do not over charge you. They are consistent and reliable, I can tell they work very hard too. If you want your moped mechanic to be your best friend this is not the place for you, but if you want a mechanic that knows what they are doing and gets you in and out this is the place for you. I'll start with saying that you shouldn't really listen to the gripes about the owner. Sure, he's opinionated and direct but if you can just ignore his personality you'll see he gets your moped fixed the first time, doesn't charge you an outrageous price, offers you advise on how to save money, and he's always been accommodating to me when I've been in a pinch and needed his help. I won't go anywhere else to have my moped worked on. I've been to other shops and find I have to keep taking my moped back to have the same issue looked at again and again. So if you are seeking this place to get your moped fixed the first time and don't wanna drop a ton of money, then ignore everything else. yeah, theses guys are just trying to rip you off. Came in because my bike wasn't starting. I was nice, respectful and asked for help, he was already coming off rude and disrespectful. I came back after 4 hours closing time. I didn't get a phone call to pick up my bike. when I got in the lady was already arguing with me telling me the bikes not ready but I talked to the guy and hes the one that has to tell her I'm good. They charged me 45 for cleaning the carburetor and 65 for a brand new battery. Mind you I didn't ask for a overpriced battery. I asked to get my old battery back cause I don't need a new one. For some reason they charged 30 just to charge a battery. I just needed the bike to run. When I confronted them about their scams and literally I got both the boss and lady screaming and swearing at me. This was very unprofessional. I asked for something basic. Whats wrong with this business? I walk up to an employee, gently ask a question - just for him to look at me and not respond. I stood there a little confused at this. But soon realized, yeah.. he really just ignored me. Lets get this straight, I used to race motocross and I know plenty about motorcycles/mopeds..this wasn't a dumb or irrelevant question. Pretty sure you want your customers to enjoy their experience at your shop - but nope this place clearly has no regard or care about that standard. Don't bother going here. If you are looking for somebody that is trust worthy reliable and very knowledgeable moped doctors is the way to go. I've tried out so many other shops on island and none of them compare. I had my first moped for quite some time that I purchased from apex and truly just was not happy with my experience there- ever since I discovered moped doctors I will not bring my moped anywhere else. My moped recently just got stolen so I ran over to their shop today and I have an epic new moped in under 30 min. Hi, I stopped by your shop on 7/9/23 around 1:30pm to have my moped looked at. I wanted to send a note to the management about the service I received, as I will also be sure to rate your public profiles with this message as well. I was greeted at your shop by a man who was very interrogative, unkind and just rude. He had no clear answers for the diagnoses of my moped, which is understandable. He seemed anxious, bitter and snapped at me while I spoke to him. He was working on another moped and explained that he was the only one working and that he had a lot to do. He also said it was possible to service my moped today. I asked about how long it would take for him to get to it, and he had no clear answer, but did insist several times that he could look at it today. He said I could leave it or wait, I said I could wait. I stood there for about 30 minutes, just admiring the process of what he was doing and commenting here and there. He was very negative, and continued to be rude and dismissive of my presence. Eventually he looked at me and said he couldn't get to it today, which I was okay with, I said I would be fine to come back another day and asked about the business hours. He then continued to tell me that "I had no business standing there while he worked, and and if i tried to do this on a weekday the men working would not have it." He reiterated this point a few times and told me that I would need to "detach myself from my moped" so that they could work on it later. I couldn't believe he would go to lengths to say something so unkind. It is standard protocol to wait for your vehicle to be serviced, it was not something I felt I needed to do because of lack of trust, but more out of convenience, as most people do with their vehicles. This interaction left me feeling like I did want to come back to your business, for fear of being mistreated by this associate again. I have also retold my experience to my friends and family who will not be returning for services there as well. I want to make sure that you are aware of the kind of service provided, and how his negativity is prohibitive of the business. I hope that this message will inspire some training or warning to this associate for his behavior. I am not one to see and judge people for one bad day, but I believe you ought to know how this day can have a great impact and that it does not uphold the values of our island, people and especially our local businesses. read more

Moped doctors has terrible customer service. They are rude and don't help you at all. I have brought my moped there to get a tune up multiple times because everytime after something else goes wrong. They have never actually been helpful or made my moped run for longer than a week or too, my moped is brand new so I'm not sure why it's having all of these problems maybe it's them. Wow this place is such a scam. My moped stopped running one day, so I took it to these guys. They asked what my budget was and said they would call to let me know. said it needed a new starter and called and told me it would only be $10 to fix - awesome! Then they said I needed an oil change and a new left brake that they could do for all under $50. I went for it. I show up a few hours later to get my moped, I pay and drive away and it immediately dies. I wheel it back and they said it looks like the battery actually needs to be replaced. So they change the battery really quickly, I pay another $50-$60 and they send me on my way. It works fine for 1 week, and then the wheel almost falls off when I am driving down the road. I have to call them to tow it. They said it needs to be changed from 2 smaller suspensions to 1 suspension. It costs about $180 but I need it to get around. I swear they loosened something when I brought it in previously, because this just seemed crazy. The worst part was when I left the guy told me I needed an oil change! Ummmm didn't I just pay you to do one a week ago? This slip up was finally the hint I needed to know I was being taken advantage of. It is very clear I know nothing about mechanics and mopeds, so they can really tell me and charge me whatever they want. I ended up paying repairs of $300 in less than 2 weeks for a $600 moped with 3500 miles. It's starting to act up again (less than 3 days later). I highly recommend you do not go here. read more

I was told they don't do returns after two weeks. I proceeded to ask why i was not informed about this during purchase, why it was not on the receipt, or a sign to inform people prior to purchase. I can't recommend moped doctors ENOUGH! These guys seriously know exactly what they're doing, and are extremely kind and compassionate. As a college student, I gave them a pretty tight budget and they were extremely willing to work with me on it while fixing my pretty much totaled moped. This meant a whole lot to me. Not to mention I didn't even call before I dropped it off because I was so stressed out! They fixed it in what seemed like under an hour. I've already recommended this place to all my friends, but I just had to bring it to yelp. I've been to plenty of moped shops, and this one has exceeded all expectations by far. Would give them zero stars if I could. Went to them to get my moped fixed and they charged me over $100 to get it running and the next day it didn't work. When I called them and asked them to make it right they refused to help me at all, unless I could bring it in. (When it doesn't start ) They said they could pick it up but would charge me which I did not feel was right since it stopped working the day after they "fixed it". The main guy in charge (the bald guy) was very rude. He yelled at me and asked me if I had ADHD. The woman at the front desk gave me a lot of trouble when i called to tell them their "repairs" didnt work. She then asked me multiple times very rudely if the moped wasn't starting because the Killswitch was not on. (When it was). Overall this company is very disrespectful and shady and I would not recommend. listen to all the reviews and go somewhere else this place sucks. read more

Stopped in today mid afternoon. Warm welcome to the gentleman outside asked if I needed help. I said I'd like to possibly buy a moped. They directed me to the nice lady inside. I knew nothing about mopeds. She asked me if it was for myself, and I said it was for my wife. Based on my description of her and that she was a novice. She explained in detail why I should get this particular bike. It was lightweight, easy to ride lots of good features great for a first bike. She explained how all the paperwork goes. Registration safety warranty, etc. I felt the price was fair and when ahead with the purchase. She threw in a lockable trunk and mounted it while I went to get my wife from work. Got back to the store in about 30 minutes. They had the bike in the showroom all ready to go! My wife loved it. Unbeknownst to me, the sales lady spent a good half hour showing my wife all the features and literally demonstrated them, including how to securely lock the bike. After that, the gentleman working outside took her on the road, explaining everything, and made sure she was comfortable and confident. Unfortunately my wife was a tiny bit nervous so they offered to deliver the bike to our home at no cost whatsoever. I wanted to write a review, which I normally don't do because I usually forget or get busy. But we had such a wonderful experience I felt I needed to get this review out there. To my surprise, I saw all the bad reviews and couldn't believe they were talking about the same place? Had I seen them beforehand, I wouldn't have stopped in. However, I'm glad I did. We got a great deal a free trunk and bike cover. Fast, Friendly, Service! Everyone was polite & knowledgeable thanked us for our business all the stuff one would expect when spending a grand. So, in closing, I do recommend this dealer. Perhaps the previous staff was the problem. A lot of businesses on the island are having difficulties finding good help since the workforce nowadays is pretty scary. read more
