Hard Working, Terrible Packers & Bumpy Move…read more Randy, Richard and Nick are very hard working and careful to prevent furniture damage. I give credit for that. BUT the packing and move itself was bumpy. We had a complicated move that took place from Jan 23-27, 2026 and we signed up basically for the "full meal deal" - packing services and two trucks to move to two locations. We were ready for packing with everything sorted and separated for the two locations. The "packers" who arrived had no experience, were incredibly slow and really had no idea how to pack a home for moving: Nothing was labelled except the room it was from; often it wasn't labeled for where it was going; there were missed cabinets (in the kitchen!) that didn't get packed; and we had to help a lot and do additional packing to get us finished which was not planned or expected. Rather than work room through room to pack, they were contstantly going into different areas without finishing where they were, creating chaos and missed items. And...for this terrible pack job, we got to pay nearly $3000 over and above the moves. Please Note: The packers were also the moving crew and when i learned this, I was less surprised. When it came to loading despite repeatedly indicating which items went where and labelling them ourselves, it was a very confused process over a couple days with the same questions being asked repeatedly. At the end, nearly 2 pick up trucks worth of items didnt fit despite us being told during the quote process it would. Several boxes also went to the wrong locations making it more complicated. When we asked for some consideration (a $300-$400 reduction in cost to cover our fuel costs for the extra trips) to transport remaining item we were flatly refused and the office administrator stated that they can't quarantee everything will fit even after a site visit during quoting. Basically was told it was our problem, not there's and its in their "terms and condtions." in tiny print you don't really notice This was really poor customer service considering we spent about 10K with them to get us moved. Left a pretty sour taste. Side Note: While it is a legal substance in BC, a couple of the people wreeked of cannabis often and we wondered/were concerned if they were under the influence while working. I hope MCM in future designates different people to move vs pack. They are differen skills and it would for sure have made our move easier. If you use them, ask better questions. Check their terms and conditions carefully and be aware that their quotes are "non-binding" which may matter. Hopefully this honest review prompts you to ask things we didn't even think would be an issue.

Unfortunately despite all the good reviews online and a previous recommendation from a friend, I…read moredid not have a good moving experience with Kleiner. This was for a 1 bedroom and den move of a relatively short distance, but it was important to me to have a professional crew handle all the furniture and maximize elevator booking times on both sides. I had pre-boxed everything myself in separate rental re-usable bins, including renting a spare dolly from the box company. The crew arrived almost an hour late, despite it being a booking first thing in the morning. However, the two crew who arrived seemed great and got right to work. Things started well, however less than an hour in, the lead crew member got a call and had to leave to go back to the warehouse. While they eventually sent two replacement crew, neither of them seemed to have moving experience, were not efficient and did not take much care with furniture or other items. In the end, the move took far longer than estimated or than it should've (6 hrs, not including travel time). The crew spent a lot of time standing around, to the point where I started moving items myself to the elevator and eventually to the truck as well. To cap it off, they broke the leg off a piece of furniture by carrying it incorrectly, and also took the dolly I had rented separately - refusing to acknowledge such or return it. While they did eventually offer a small credit for the damaged item, I still ended up paying significantly more than was estimated initially and had to pay the box rental company for the missing dolly. Next time I will just rent a U-Haul myself, since it will take less time, cost significantly less, and save me the frustration of watching people stand around while I'm being charged for their time.

Called Ferguson initially mostly because the reviews seemed decent. Our initial inquiry was responded to promptly and an estimator visited our house a few days later to give us a quote. It was the visit from the estimator that clinched it for us. Juville was so professional and thorough. Asked about things we hadn't even thought of. Made some excellent suggestions. My initial reaction to the quoted price was that it was higher than expected, but considering what the sketchy / overly complicated options were coming in at, it wasn't actually that much more. And Juville clearly knew what she was doing, which was extremely reassuring. We really appreciated that she came to our house, prepared a detailed written estimate on the spot, and left us to think about it, without any pressure. We called her back, booked the move and paid our deposit. On moving day we had the worst possible rain (and that's saying something in Vancouver). The movers were organized and professional, and the rain didn't slow them down at all. When the truck was weighed it was very close to what Juville had estimated on our written quote. Our goods arrived safely at the other end. No damage, nothing missing. For the quoted price, no surprises. I would definitely recommend Ferguson and would use them again.
