Stopped by for a few soft-serve ice creams and yogurts and was pleased to see that they had sugar-free options (well, no sugar added, anyway). They were reasonably priced and offered a small cup for the kids. Moo's is probably one of the most iconic places beachside, for a reason. It's little and grubby, but oh-so-whimsical with its cow theme and statues and paintings. They've been around forever. And the ice cream is pretty great too. The ice cream flavors, soft serve or not, are limited, but they always taste excellent. No matter what you choose, you can't go wrong with getting ice cream here. I've heard mixed reviews from friends about their other products (hot dogs, etc.) but everyone here loves the ice cream. However, as I said before, the place is really grubby / sort of gross, and the staff is less than friendly... so I wouldn't recommend staying there to eat unless you want death glares from the staff and want to sit at dirty tables. One odd thing was it is touted as soft serve, but they only have two flavors and twist. Your best bet is to turn your eyes to the hand packed ice cream list. I strongly suggest the Mexican chocolate. As you approach, you might hesitate because the location looks like an old drive thru grocery with old carnival leftover benches and horsey. And while the outside seating area and play yard equipment are dated, its important to remember that it is across the street from the beach. Most importantly, the ice cream is fabulous! The choices are varied from simple servings to sundaes to good old-fashioned banana splits. The servings are generous- really. Time to share! And the ice cream is rich, creamy, delicious! Moo's has the best soft serve in town. Yep, I said it. Better than Del's Freeze. I know this starts a war amongst locals (of which I am, although displaced) and I think it's a good thing. Moo's is a cool little beach joint with a drive thru that's open late on the weekends. Their soft serve "hurricanes" are rich and satisfying. They also have delicious slushes, if you feel like something lighter. I'm a sucker for a blue raspberry slushie, a holdover from my childhood of having Slush Puppies at my disposal in Georgia. Moo's is the only place in Brevard County that does the blue raspberry slushie justice. Not to mention, it's just a funky little place with a good vibe. read more

The place is in need of a good refurbishing but their ice cream does not! I don't know why they push their soft-serve when their hand scooped ice cream is awesome. Our group had a bunch of flavors but the ones that stood out was the strawberry with just big ole chunks of strawberries in it and the Key Lime Pie ice cream was just fantastic. I love ice cream places with flair! You walk up and there is a wooden cow with udders that you can milk water from,......the kids loved it! They are directly across from the beach with a fenced in little area with picnic tables and a coin operated kid carousel. For this price the place is not worth it. Your better off going to Dels Freeze on US1 or McDonalds, it's the same stuff but half the price. Drive your date thru for a couple of cones after dinner and head over to the boardwalk for dessert overlooking the moonlit ocean. Done deal. They had a hot dog war going with Long Doggers for a while. They still have the giant hot dog out front that started the ruckus. Really wanted some ice cream while my boyfriend and I were down in the area, and we had passed this place times before so we thought we would try it instead of getting Coldstone. Really wish we would have stuck to Coldstone though. My hand scooped ice cream was good but I could get the same ice cream at Publix for cheaper. My boyfriend got the soft serve dipped in chocolate and it was not good at all. The soft serve ice cream was okay, nothing special, and just melted uncontrollably and the chocolate tasted stale. I would honestly say McDonalds has better tasting dipped ice cream cones. read more
