With so many tempting options, I was picking between a twirl or a cookiewich. I landed on the Caramel Cheesecake Twirl, a cheesecake ice cream blended with caramel and topped with cheesecake bites. The blend itself was rich, creamy and perfectly indulgent. I wasn't super excited about the cheesecake bites. Maybe it was a texture thing and I should have known better, but they were just too mushy for me. Others in my party had a classic waffle cone and an Oreo Cookie Sundae, which I tried and would definitely recommend! Going back for that and one of those cookiewiches. I love the Twistee Treat locations in Orlando so I was surprised to find a location in my hometown! I wondered if this spot was just as good and it did not disappoint. Despite the Yelp reviews, I thought the service was friendly, even if it was a bit slow. I always get the Twirl which is a cup of ice cream with two toppings mixed inside. The sizes, by the way, are HUGE! I usually get a kids size and I find that to be the perfect amount of ice cream for me. Like other locations, seating is outside only with either a walk up window or a drive thru window. In summary, a good Twistee Treat store, nothing out of the ordinary when compared to the others. read more

I just moved from the north US and I tried this place!! It's soooo yummy!! Honestly the prices aren't bad for the "flurry", I also tried a taco waffle and honestly i didn't care for the type of ice cream they put in that but I loved that it wasn't super sweet. I have been to this ice cream shop numerous times and have received great service; however, tonight the young boy working the window was an idiot. I went around 8:10 pm and he handed me my twirl cup without a lid and it was melting all over my hand. I asked for a lid (which was always included) and he tossed it onto my cup not giving a s*** and I had to secure it myself. The second cup included the lid but was not secured, so I had ice cream running down my hand and some Reece's peanut butter cup lost inside my new car. I will chalk this up to a kid who needs to be written up or fired. It will not deter me from going back because of one kid who could care less about customer service. read more

Cute little soft serve drive through joint (yep, a very interesting combo indeed!). My brother got the cookies and cream vanilla Twistee treat: a small could definitely be shareable among two. We tried some waffle cones: vanilla and coffee, and mint chocolate and strawberry. The coffee and mint chocolate are considered "premium flavors" and cost like $0.55 more but were worth the extra change. You can get your two flavors blended or separated but still twisted - how neat is that. Just to be able to have two soft serve flavors in one cone is great enough. We visited yesterday because I remember going to one around Orlando when I was a kid. The girl that was working was incredibly rude. She slammed open the walk-up window to say, "You're gonna have to wait, I'm doing the drive-thru," and then slammed it shut. It started pouring rain so we were like, okay, let's do drive-thru. I don't mind waiting, but it was a very lengthy wait. I think she was the only one there. Maybe they shouldn't stress out their employees who turn around and get annoyed by a customer's presence? Ordered a small butterscotch sundae for $3.79. It contained a column of ice create about 1" wide surrounded by air in the cup. There was a teaspoon of butterscotch syrup at the bottom of the cup. It was topped with whipped cream and a cherry. There was more air in the cup than ice cream. A McDonald's sundae is better and far cheaper. I won't try them again. read more

So...Twistee Treat is ok. The staff is meh, but one time they were washing off the pavement with a hose, and splashed the water all over my legs! And they also have zeroooo seating?! The ice cream in general is ok, but their brownie milk shake is nasty. The brownie is gross and tastes like play-dough, and it was so gooey, my mouth could barely chew it. I have had a waffle cone dipped in chocolate from many locations and I have never had one given to me in such a messy dripping mess as I did today with chocolate dripping down the cone all over the napkin and the ice cream dripping out all over the place. Not to mention it not like it's 100 degrees today, it's 66 degrees. If this was not bad enough I asked for a cup and the guy was like do you want a refund, we serve soft serve and it's supposed to be this way. The service really was not good. We ordered at the window and got poured on so we told them that we'd go in the drive through. When we got to the window at the drive through three employees were standing there talking to each other and we had to say hello three different times until they finally acknowledged us. One employee sarcastically said "we've held your ice cream here" and handed over a melted cone. We asked for it to be remade as it was completely melting and considering we were standing in the pouring rain that they'd be understanding and would make our ice cream when we arrived at the window. Unfriendly, not friendly, broken equipment. There are so many better options in the area than this place. We have gone a few times and purchased the 'slushies'. As on writing this review, the slushie machine has been broken for months. If you are unfortunate to waste your time in the winding drive thur lane, you are not notified that the machine is broken until you see the lame note that has been taped onto the drive thru speaker. The sign is a torn 8.5 x 11 paper sheet with small scribbling on it. How do I know? Because it is all that you can stare at when your car is sandwiched between others waiting in line. Yep, you cannot get out of the single lane ... isn't that special. Don't expect any answers from the staff there either. The expected repair or replacement date of the broken equipment is some sort of industry secret with the clueless drones shleping ice cream do not have any idea. I asked if I could speak with a manager to see if they had an answer and much to my surprise, the MENSA candidate that I was speaking with IS the manager. Needless to say that I do not recommend this place unless you wish to feel frustrated and you enjoy interacting with individuals who will give you little faith in the future of the human species. I was really excited about this Twistee Treat opening but now that the excitements wore down, I really have to say they don't get 5 stars. The wait times to get the ice cream that you've ordered is always long even with some to zero people waiting. After waiting 15 minutes in the drive thru with only two cars ahead of me and nobody on foot at the front, I was able to get to the window, pay for my ice cream and see that the staff was laughing and listening to music while who I assumed to be the manager or supervisor was working the window was having to remind them to do things. I also was trying to get an item off their menu since they opened only to be told each time they were out and finally the last time I asked for it I was told it was discontinued. How are you already discontinuing items after only being open for about a month? Besides that, the ice cream is good and the staff is nice. read more

The first time I got 1 small ice cream 1 kiddie ice cream and the kiddie size was bigger I asked if that was right was told it was so the next time we went I ordered two kiddies since it was larger and cheaper than a small cup and I ended up with 2 of the smaller cups as kiddies lol when I clearly asked if if the kiddies we're bigger last time??? Second time we went they messed up our order and gave us a buy 1 get 1 cone so tonight I went to use that and upgrade it to a cup vs a cone being I have toddler so it's less messier than in a cone and she told me they couldn't do that what so ever I even said I would pay for the cup to put it in. If my toddler wasn't in the car I would have just left but I ended up just getting and paying for 2 cups of ice cream anyway. I don't understand why they couldn't just put the ice cream that's in a cone right into a cup???? The 3 star review y'all have speaks for itself after a visit.
