They pour the milk on a cold stone & stir it around until it freezes & makes ice cream . They shape it until it's a rectangle & roll it up putting the topping on it . So yummy . Service was awesome, I loved the different color waffles they offered and I swear they all tasted different. We had orange, yellow and red waffles to hold the ice cream. They call them ice cream tacos because the waffles are not cones, they are shaped like hard shell taco tortillas. The ice cream is rolled and made fresh with awesome presentation. You'll want to eat everyone's once it's made. This just so happened to be in the same complex where we went for lunch at Qs Cracking Crab, and they were giving coupons out for the Frosty Nauts which worked out because when we pulled in the complex I already said I wanted to come here after. 2nd time coming - and it was worth the wait. The menu changed from my last visit. I decided to try the Nanner Pudding which is Banana Pudding Ice Cream and all of the ingredients infused with the ice cream. Man o man was that a great choice. I ate it so fast that I forgot to take a picture of it after going through the process of making it. This was amazing it.. they even had the nerve to top it off with whip cream and the vanilla wafer cookies. What a cool place! The first ice cream place I have been to that offers vegan options! We tried the espresso yourself (with oatmilk), rainbow road, and brownie bliss. The process is pretty cool... First...you start with ordering. Once you order they ask you to stand off to the side and wait for your order to be called. Second...once your order is called you go up to the counter and they make your ice cream. They pour the ingredients onto a frozen tray, chop up the mix-ins, and roll the ice cream. Third...you pick the "taco shell" (waffle cone) that you want and they dress it all up according to what you ordered. I like that they ask you to stand back and wait for your order to be made so you can watch the process. I don't like that there are people that do whatever they want and crowd the counter until it's their turn. It's a pretty expensive place. If you go, it's an experience for everyone. Don't take away someone else's expensive experience because you want to watch everyone's ice cream being made :) It cost about $35 for 3 of us to get ice cream. Sorry, but it's absurd to have to wait that long. Yes the staff warned us when we entered, which is helpful but also telling of the efficiency and staffing levels. There were 3 employees on duty moving at about a 4 of 10 pace. There was very little enthusiasm to get the product out the door and melt the line down. Many people came and left frustrated without their ice cream as a result. Looking at the past reviews, this appears to be a trend that is ignored, which is why I took two stars away. For this of us that have worked in food service, we know when we need to step up our pace and get some fire under our ass when a coworker doesn't show up. If I was the owner a serious talk about staffing would take place, and it would not be pleasant. You have a great product that can be given out with a much better efficiency to your customers!
