Nice little icecream shop, reasonable prices. Good customer service. Delicious ice cream.

Great little place for a cool treat. Best soft serve we've had in awhile. A must stop while we're visiting the beach. Awesome service.

Is anyone in need of a hump day sweet treat!?! @beachsidecreamery has all your indulgent dreams covered! Dole whip ...they got it! Soft serve... they got it! Brownies, banana splits , Ice cream sandwiches, milkshakes they got it!!! If you make the trip to satisfy your sweet tooth I would recommend the strawberry hard scoop! Omg the flavor is so intense and the chunks of strawberries give it that punch to set it apart from the average cone!

    Walk up service!

Housed in an older-style cinder-block building it reminds me of many other ice cream stands near the beach that I have seen along the coast line. They have the usual vanilla and chocolate, plus the swirl option (my personal favorite). They have several styles of cones and cups, but I love how they sell the cone as a 'Eco-friendly' option because you get to eat the container...love that! They also have a blizzard type ice cream mashed up with your favorite topping they call a Brrrr-icane. Next time I am in the area I will be happy as a 5-year-old to go back and get a swirl in an edible 'container'.

It's counter service- you walk up and order your item at the window. I ordered a soft serve ice cream. I got the soft serve swirl (vanilla/ chocolate)- it as basic. I'm not sure what it was, but I remember feeling slightly disappointed. We also ordered a frozen chocolate covered banana- now that was good and something I'd never had before. This quaint little ice cream stop is perfect for grabbing some sweet treats on the way to or from the beach. I believe they only take cash, but don't quote me!

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more Firstly, I have indulged in Whit's Frozen Custard multiple times on different occassions, with the last time being at Grace Community Church in West Melbourne, FL during one of their special Sunday events. This is probably the first time - that I can remember - I ate frozen custard directly from their brick-and-mortar store located in Historic Downtown Melbourne. So was Whit's Frozen Custard, at least the locale in Historic Downtown Melbourne, a yay or a nay? Frozen custard-wise, it is a yay, but in general, it is not necessarily a nay, but more an observation that can make or break a patron's view of wanting to go to Whit's Frozen Custard (which I will shorthand simply to Whit's for the remainder of this review) or somewhere else. Even though an address is provided, Whit's is located in the East side of Historic Downtown Melbourne, in between Crush XI and Constant Pressure Tattoo Shop. I must stress that Whit's is probably not handicap accessible as the only way in and out has four steps. Inside is quite minimalistic with its overuse of the color white (which kinda fits with their name) and stainless steel, but it fits their theme. The seating is also minimalistic, but it is assumed most people will take their custard and walk with it around and about downtown. Whit's also has numerous flavors pre-packaged for sale, but their flavors they have ready-to-serve is minimal. You can choose either vanilla, chocolate, or the flavor of the day. Today when I went, the two flavors for Sunday was peach and Heath bar. I had two scoops of peach were a nice amount of frozen custard to eat for like $6. Not bad for the price they provide. Given the information above, this is either a yay or nay compared to other frozen custard places. Other places have more options, but they are not necessarily top tier across the board. Other places may be less in price, but the amount of frozen custard you get will be less than the price you pay with Whit's. Like I said, these are not criticisms, but more like personal observations that cater to one's preferences. With that in mind, I am going to give Whit's three out of five stars. They are a-okay with what they have and what they have is delicious, but depending on my mood, I will either go to them... or not. Now if they are consistent with this setup, I will definitely give them an extra star for said consistency. But right now, they are three stars meaning they are a-okay.

Stop in because I saw pictures of the giant loaded, flowing, dripping milkshakes!…read more The store is very clean and bright lit. I felt bad making a mess all over the cleaning tables and floor so kept trying to clean it as I went. I ordered the cotton candy explosion. That was pretty boss, Definitely picture worthy. The ice cream itself had a very buttery rich flavor and texture to it. I honestly say that it's better than with some people sell as frozen custard at the fast food spot. I look forward to going back and trying different versions of milkshakes without all the candy just because I like the ice cream so much. All the overflowing candy was definitely worth the cost but not something I'd buy every time. I'll try to bring my nieces here 1 day. The owners are the ones running the counters so I always love an owner operated business. They were friendly talkative and as helpful as can be. I highly recommend everyone tries this type of ice cream at least once. It's definitely not soft serve, it's definitely not fast food, Unlike the big arches there are ice cream machine is always working and ready to sell 32 something flavors of ice cream.

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more If you are ever in Brevard County (a.k.a. the Space Coast) in Florida, the one local ice cream shop I always suggest people - both locals and tourists alike - should try out is Ice Cream Hut. However, the one I suggest is always the original in Cocoa Beach Main Street. Imagine my surprise when I realized that Ice Cream Hut actually franchises out from the main ice cream shop. Ergo, I was further surprised when I found that an Ice Cream Hut franchise location was located in my city, Palm Bay. I just had to try them out. Since then, I have enjoyed a many treats from the Ice Cream Hut of Palm Bay. And since I have definitely tested their consistency, I can with great confidence say that Ice Cream Hut of Palm Bay (which I will shorthand simply to Ice Cream Hut PB for the remainder of this review) deserves a five out of five star rating. Though an address is provided, I want to further add details to help you find Ice Cream Hut PB just in case. It is in the same small strip mall or convenince store lot with a Subway and another amazing restaurant which I reviewed with high regard and rating, Irashiai 2. Ice Cream Hut PB is smack in the center of the small strip mall/convenience store lot. You can't miss it with its vibrant moniker emblazoned on its storefront. Upon entering, it definitely has a mix of modern and classic 70s ice cream parlor from the colors to the counter, to the steel chair and tables and the vinyl images on the walls. As for ice cream, the flavors are quite a selection and they even have sugar free options for those who have to watch their sugar intake. However, it is their unique flavors you may want to check out. I definitely liked their version of a banana flavored ice cream. And speaking of banana flavored ice cream, it was an excellent flavor choice in their Bananas Fosters Cheesecake. Originally, this signature sundae comes with vanilla ice cream but I opted for the banana flavor they had. It also has fresh bananas, a slice of cheesecake, whipped cream, and a drizzle of caramel rum sauce. Delicious! The other ice cream treats I have tried, in which I will detail them in the caption of pictures I provided, include the Quack Shake, Brownie Bomb, and Krispy Kreme Donut (not just the donut but an actual sundae creation). There is also a customer loyalty program so if you eat here enough times, you can find yourself coming in to get some free ice cream... if you like I mean. This, along with the excellent customer service, ambiance, and how abiding the owners, whom I met, are, I am more than happy to give, as mentioned earlier, this ice cream parlor five-out-of-five stars. If you are ever in the area, or if you are near any of the Ice Cream Hut locations as all of them have been pretty good especially the OG location in Cocoa Beach, you should give them a try.
