A good little shack to hit up if you're driving along A1A and are in the mood for ice cream! I ended up stopping here just because of that reason and got a nice portion of mint cookies and cream ice cream in a cone. It was good, but nothing that was out-of-this world. Classic flavors are available and some interesting ones that change every now and then. Some examples are carrot cake, pistachio, or 'purple daze.' Service was quick, but can be a bit busy depending on how touristy the area is. For their menu, they also serve some other items out side of ice cream. This includes hot dogs, smoothies, and frozen drinks (blueberry raspberry or watermelon) as well. It's a good place for those times when you want to get something sweet on a nice and hot Florida day! read more

I love stopping at little roadside stands. I've never been to the Melbourne area and it's safe to say that I fell in love with it when we passed through last month! We saw Moo's and decided to stop for a hotdog and ice cream. The hotdogs were delicious and the ice cream was so creamy and so fresh. The workers there were very friendly and the vibe of the whole place was chill and laid-back. I would definitely recommend to anyone passing through, I know I'll be back whenever I'm back in the area. read more

So the boyfriend and I were out for a drive when I found moo's and went there solely because of the name. I mean maturity at its finest. This place is INCREDIBLE and they have more than just ice cream. They have soft served, hand scooped, hot dogs, etc. We split a sundae and had rocky road, carrot cake and mint cookies and OMG it was incredible!!! This place didn't disappoint and the cow theme was throughout the restaurant. I 100% suggest you do not pass up this gem!! read more

My family and I always come here when we are visiting Melbourne. Cute and fun little place that has awesome Icecream! We love all the cows everywhere haha. I definitely recommend coming here, especially with family. My favorite thing to get is just a simple double scoop of chocolate in a waffle cone. Can't ever go wrong with that! :) read more

Such a fun spot. And it's a rare find of a non-chain on the beach. My kids milked a cow, rode a mechanical horse and looked in a funny mirror. Best of all, we had awesome ice cream! They have soft serve and hard ice cream. We had soft serve cones - both dipped and not dipped, hurricanes, and hard serve cones. Everyone loved it! They have carrot cake ice cream! And they let me sample it first and then I ordered it with caramel on top! Yummy! We've been wanting to stop here on the way through and finally did and so happy we did. Staff were friendly and service was good. Very family friendly place and prices are reasonable. read more

This is the cutest and quirkiest little spot I've ever been to for some ice cream and good ol coney dogs. What caught our eye was driving down the A1A and its painted like a cow with cow figurines evwrywhere. We pulled over and noticed the cool picnic table seating and the funny games you can play,like trying out milking a fake cow, lol. No, I didnt try but found it hilarious. We were in the mood for hotdogs so we went through the menu. We had to try the traditional coney dog which was a chili cheese dog with mustard and onions and bae had the kraut dog. We also ordered the chili cheese fries and a root beer to wash it all down. It was such a satisfying lunch before hitting the road. This place is also known for their ice cream and dessert treats. We noticed more people dropping by for the ice cream and shakes so it's a must when we come back to try an old fashioned vanilla ice cream for me and a definite get the tasty coney dog again. The order guy was so nice which made me think... I was optimistic about the food. YUCK. DARN. It was underwhelming sorry to say (see pics). I was really looking forward to my dog being drenched in delicious chili and cheese. NOT. The location is very fun right off the main drag...however, we smelled cow organic fertilizer when we were there(?) and there was a remote sound of moo-ing from a wooden cow which escaped me. My husband and I stopped here for ice cream after a day at the beach and it was an excellent experience. The ice cream was delicious, the place itself was so cute, and the service was amazing. Although I love ice cream, I try to avoid dairy as much as possible, and they accommodated really kindly and customized the banana split with a scoop of dairy free ice cream and no whipped cream for me, and the other two scoops as normal for my husband. Came here with some family and it was a great visit. It was a fresh day , around 74 degrees by the sea breeze. They were busy but they have a nice system where you order on one side and pick up on a completely seperate side. Best for dispersing the crowds . We had such a good experience here. Casual place with friendly staff and very kid friendly- lots of things to touch and explore. The kids loved the hot dogs and shaved ice. We adults loved the kraut dogs and fiesta dogs. Would recommend as a fun beach casual spot. 12 dogs, 2 drinks and 2 shaved ice was $50 before tip. read more

Previously gave this location 5 stars, but have to drop it down to 3. My family likes to get hurricanes when we come here, but since our first time there has been absolutely no consistency in what is actually in the hurricane. Different kinds of candy always seems to end up in your order. Example: orders a Oreo and cookie dough hurricane, but finds gummy bears and peanut butter cups inside. The last time we went there was barely any candy pieces at all, it was almost exclusively a cup of vanilla ice cream. We've tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but seemingly 80% of the time if we are getting hurricanes they are incorrect and disappointing. If you just want normal ice cream scoops, that is still always great. read more

I had a dog with mustard and relish. It was like every other I've ever had. Nothing spesh. Their fries are air fried. They were really good. Made from fresh potatoes. I was too full to have ice cream. I'm assuming it was the best part of the place cause that's what everyone (there was a steady stream of people) was getting, but I was hungry for food, at the time. A soft serve place that serves you with a smile... After dinner on Independence Day, we dropped into this place to enjoy some soft serve. The place was super busy but we found the drive through (a drive through!) to not be as bad. We ordered from caramel dipped cones to chocolate sundaes, to their version of a blizzard (they call theirs the Hurricane) and no one was disappointed. The best part of the stop was the kid who took our order - super friendly, super personable, and made the wait that much better once we got our chance to order. I definitely will want to drop by once more this summer but this time might just stop and get out... read more

Such a cute little local ice cream store. This was a car shop in another life and Moos revamped it and created a drive thru ice cream parlor. They have shakes, sundaes, malts, "hurricanes" (similar to DQ Blizzards), regular soft serve, and a little vanilla puppy cone for all your furry companions. The only downside is the wait. It's not terrible but in comparison to Twisty Treat, it's three times as slow. Would I go back? Ummm yeah! It's ice cream AND it's drive thru -- as in, I never have to take off my gym clothes. I enjoyed my chocolate matt but next time I want the hurricane. My boyfriend loved his sundae and our furry friend loved her puppy cone! read more

The staff was exceptionally peppy and engaging. I think she may have been an owner. Oh my do I love this place!! Moved to Florida from South Jersey over two decades ago. One of our favorite places as kids was called Uncle Teddy's, very similar soft serve, luncheon place. A friend of mine recommended Moo's to me and I'm glad she did, it was 'utterly'' delicious. The ice cream we chose was calypso crunch, it had chocolate, chocolate covered pretzels and caramel. We got a size small and it was plenty for the two of us. Definitely recommend. read more

Moo's has been a family favorite for years! We've only ever ordered ice cream, but it's so delicious. The drive thru is our favorite way to place an order. Sometimes there's a wait, but it's TOTALLY worth it! Every employee we've dealt with has been friendly and professional. My sons enjoy the vanilla hurricane with brownie and cookie dough mixed throughout. I don't eat dairy and absolutely love the watermelon sorbet. It's so flavorful and refreshing. They have a few other dairy free sorbet options and slushees, but I haven't been willing to give up the watermelon yet. They offer cold, delicious treats to satisfy everyone in your crew! read more

I go here every time I visit my mother. She loves to take a drive down to the beach and sit watching the waves while enjoying her Moo's ice cream cup. Lots of options, and delicious soft serve with a drive through that I absolutely love!!! It's so convenient when traveling with an elderly parent. I also have never, EVER had bad customer service there. The workers there are young, to be sure, but they are polite, quick, helpful and courteous. read more

Wanted a quick hot dog as a snack and ordered the kraut dog. It could have been perfect if it wasn't swimming in ketchup and mustard. There was more condiment than hot dog. Even scraping most off didn't help as it soaked into the bun. Couldn't eat it. Next time I'll ask for NO mustard and ketchup. Tried the carrot cake ice cream which was amazing!! read more

Always a good place to head with the kids. They have a ton of options. My kids love the shaved ice but they also have great ice cream choices and even dairy free options! That's always a bonus. Is there chocolate in this? And she said yes. There is no chocolate in the toasted coconut dairy free ice cream. I've had this before at the Coco and no, there's no chocolate so that was weird. Can't get that. Then I asked for a soft serve vanilla twisty cone with a cherry dip. But guess what? Our dip maker is not working. No dip. So my husband got a shake. he asked for a strawberry malt shake with whipped cream. I decided on a ice cream scoop that they had but I wanted a child's cup because I have to be careful of my sweets. She said she has a small but not a child's cup and I said I really preferred a child's cup and she said she would charge me for a small but be happy to give me a child's cup. She did this. She gave my husband his shake. They were out of malt and oh by the way, I didn't realize this, but we're also out of whipped cream! Literally, they are out of everything. On a Friday night in May a great beach day, we were the only ones there! Although I do recommend the one in Cocoa, I cannot recommend this one.

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more Firstly, I have indulged in Whit's Frozen Custard multiple times on different occassions, with the last time being at Grace Community Church in West Melbourne, FL during one of their special Sunday events. This is probably the first time - that I can remember - I ate frozen custard directly from their brick-and-mortar store located in Historic Downtown Melbourne. So was Whit's Frozen Custard, at least the locale in Historic Downtown Melbourne, a yay or a nay? Frozen custard-wise, it is a yay, but in general, it is not necessarily a nay, but more an observation that can make or break a patron's view of wanting to go to Whit's Frozen Custard (which I will shorthand simply to Whit's for the remainder of this review) or somewhere else. Even though an address is provided, Whit's is located in the East side of Historic Downtown Melbourne, in between Crush XI and Constant Pressure Tattoo Shop. I must stress that Whit's is probably not handicap accessible as the only way in and out has four steps. Inside is quite minimalistic with its overuse of the color white (which kinda fits with their name) and stainless steel, but it fits their theme. The seating is also minimalistic, but it is assumed most people will take their custard and walk with it around and about downtown. Whit's also has numerous flavors pre-packaged for sale, but their flavors they have ready-to-serve is minimal. You can choose either vanilla, chocolate, or the flavor of the day. Today when I went, the two flavors for Sunday was peach and Heath bar. I had two scoops of peach were a nice amount of frozen custard to eat for like $6. Not bad for the price they provide. Given the information above, this is either a yay or nay compared to other frozen custard places. Other places have more options, but they are not necessarily top tier across the board. Other places may be less in price, but the amount of frozen custard you get will be less than the price you pay with Whit's. Like I said, these are not criticisms, but more like personal observations that cater to one's preferences. With that in mind, I am going to give Whit's three out of five stars. They are a-okay with what they have and what they have is delicious, but depending on my mood, I will either go to them... or not. Now if they are consistent with this setup, I will definitely give them an extra star for said consistency. But right now, they are three stars meaning they are a-okay.
