This might be the best coffee shop I've ever been to. Or maybe just one of the kindest human baristas. Coffee is great! We will be back. But what impressed me more than anything was an act of kindness from the barista. An unhoused person waited in line behind us. I didn't notice until we were finished ordering... Then this person proceeded to wait until they were done making our drinks. They asked for a hot drink please. The barista treated them just like any other costumer. Made the drink. Gave it to him and then proceeded to ask him if he'd like a day old pastry? He said yes! The barista grabbed the pastry and he was on his way. I was a little shook. Being from LA I don't see the unhoused community treated this way. Showing them basic decency offering them something warm to drink and a pastry. This town runs a little differently and it warmed my sometimes jaded heart. I stayed and chatted with the barista and thanked them for their humanity. They explained they have a community card where the community shared the expense. I'm floored. I hope this spreads and I'm gonna do my best to do the same. Another person just came in. Staying at a near apartment while in town from Washington, D.C., Moonshot was a worthy coffee stop. It's along a strip of many colorful murals and popular restaurants and bars. Moonshot Coffee had been a long time bookmark, knowing it is related to Burien Press. I had the opportunity to enjoy yet another visit to White Center and take in a popular dessert spot, enjoy a pizza slice, and finally experience a well crafted mocha here (5/31/25). I liked the interior - bright, lots of healthy plants, and ample availability of either counter or table seating. The barista was really pleasant and crafted a well balanced 16oz mocha that I savored onsite and with my drive onward to West Seattle, then Shoreline. My mom and I popped by on our way out of Seattle heading to the airport. This little coffee shop is super cute, on a cool looking street in south Seattle! There was one barista working and he was very kind and helpful, and he made our drinks very fast. They have some really cool sounding seasonal drinks; one of them I really wanted to try sadly wasn't available anymore when I came (they were out of the flavoring) but I still had a really bomb lavender Earl grey latte. My mom got a breve as well and QUITE enjoyed it, as well as a warm butter pastry with strawberry jam. They have restrooms available for customers, and free back-in parking out front. Overall would definitely come again if in the area! The fall/winter seasonal drinks sound most bomb to me so hope I can catch that sometime. read more

One barista often offers a free shot if the previous customer orders only one. They are welcoming to all given the pride flags, ICE whistles and community event posters. I finally got to try Moonshot Coffee which was a bit of a challenge to accomplish because we are always in the White Center neighborhood in the evening and this coffee shop is closed by then. We instantly liked what we had here and the service was always very good on our first visit despite it being quite busy and a festival. We had some refreshing iced coffee drinks. I had an Iced Vanilla Latte which was quite good! But what really makes Moonshot unique is that their pastries are made in house from what one of the batistas said and indeed that was the impression I had after eating a cookie I purchased here. It was so very good and tasted so fresh. The cookie was a Snickerdoodle cookie. I would absolutely love to come back but it would need to be during the day and our evening meetings here prevent us from going here more often. But perhaps we may just need to fit in a day trip on a weekend to get another visit in. read more

If you're looking for coffee that isn't Starbucks and want to support a small business in the area, then look no further. Moonshot Coffee will have what you're looking for. I've been to Moonshot Coffee a few times while in the area and it's always been a pleasant experience with very friendly staff here. The space inside isn't the largest, so if you're looking to work from here, get here early or visit during the latter part of the day. There are only a few tables and chairs set up. In addition to a classic coffee menu with seasonal drinks, they sell tea, pastries and have a great selection of beer, wine and other drinks in their refrigerated area. Many people come here just to get a cold beverage while in the area, so it's worth checking out if you're on the go and need to get some beer and wine. What a cool lil cafe in White Center. It has a neat modern yet original feel to it. A few window seats & maybe outside at times. It's tiny enough to share the bathrooms from the next door pizza spot. Great smooth selection of coffee drinks. The oat decaf is nice alone or any Fall-inspired flavors. A few vegan house-made pastries and snack on-hand. Stopped by Moonshot today, the gentleman behind the counter was great, personable, and patient with my decision making. I didnt know this but they also have a community card, which you can donate to which allows for those around who may not have the funds to get something to drink or eat. You can make a donation to that card which helps the next person. I've never seen a coffee shop do that but what a cool initiative. Definitely recommend stopping by if your in the area. read more

The food and drinks were great. I got a quiche with the house made hot sauce. It was great with out it but really took it too another level. The sausage breakfast sandwich was also great, mustard and arugula were the best support roles. The mustard was sweet but not too sweet and the peppery arugula flavor added depth to the meal. The barista was very knowledgeable and gave us great recommendations for the Strawberry matcha and the Cold Brew lime. The Strawberry matcha is something I get at other places often and you can get a bad ratio but it was 1:1 neither over powered the other for a great experience. And the Cold Brew Lime was a surprisingly great coffee. The limeade flavor pops at the beginning with its bright tart flavor then the cold brew with its darkness to mellow it all out without it being a jarring change in taste. The location was very calm and inviting. We'll be back again if we're in town. read more

Cute little coffee spot in Seattle. Came here on a rainy Tuesday afternoon. The cafe itself is quaint. Decorated in plants and looks straight from my dream Pinterest board. The staff was really welcoming and chill. They have tons of merch and items from local vendors (including free condoms for winkwink). Feel free to also bring in cans to support their local food drive. The rain will not stop me from getting my latte iced. I will quit my day job for a good cardamom latte. My go to! Cold brew mocha is smooooth I've never been to White Center but we made the trip out here looking to explore a new place for our usual coffee adventures. We ended up at moonshot after I met one of the baristas the day before who recommended we come out and give the place a shot. I was not disappointed. I'm usually a straight up iced coffee or americano guy - no calories. But something about the cold brew mocha made me think twice about how I wanna live my life. After reading the description, I could not say no. The drink is smooth, not super duper sweet or chocolaty. It's like a coffee chocolate milk that easily washes down your system. I liked it alot. Currently no indoor seating, and they only allow 3 parties indoors at the same time (which was not a problem during a Saturday early evening). For non-coffee drinkers, they have a lot of super interesting options! I ordered the lavender matcha along with the pesto breakfast sandwich (this is vegetarian). Both were delicious, ESPECIALLY the sandwich. My friend got the toasted lemonade and half butterfly pea tea - it was good, but not sure if it was anything special. Traveled to Seattle for a week vacation with my wife and was looking for a local coffee shop with vegan options since my wife is allergic to eggs. She was super excited to hear that they do accommodate egg allergies for the breakfast sandwiches. We have a more of sweet tooth when it comes to coffee so we chose the Timbooks Cold Brew Coffee and she chose the Horchata Cold Brew Latte and was perfectly flavored with both tones of coffee and sweetness, no sharp bitterness. The environment is warm and inviting which is a plus since the area around is somewhat different. If I'm in Seattle again I'll for sure has the one as a stop for all my breakfasts with my wife. Walking by Moonshot, it's evident this is a spanking brand new place. The paint still smells fresh and the new door that is not yet hung are obvious clues! Due to newly opening, there were some staffing issues, so the wait was a little longer than usual, but it was nice to see all the goings on. I'm sure they will have their procedures down very quickly. While we waited for our espresso, we had time to chat with Matt, the owner who was behind the coffee bar making drinks. Really nice guy and I see a great future for this shop! Hours still vary, but I was assured they will always be open by 7 am and will not close earlier than 2pm.
