Happy I finally got to try this spot! I came by on a weekday before 8AM and it wasn't busy at all. There was maybe one person waiting for a drink before me. I tried the Mocha Mexicano (12oz, $7) which was rich and creamy with little espresso flavor. They have pastries and sandwiches as well but I wasn't hungry so didn't try any of them. The atmosphere is very cozy and warm. I would recommend it as a good study/working spot for sure. It's right across from the Light Rail so I'm surprised it isn't busier actually. The service was great! The person taking my order was very sweet and communicative. And the person making my drink took their time to make a latte heart on top. Overall wonderful experience! The Station for years have been nothing but a safe place and haven for BIPOCs. It feels good to know that even tho I have left Seattle and the people behind the counter are new and the menu has grown... that I can come back after two years and still feel the love as if I ain't even left. Just that alone makes this place a vibe. Then you add in the music that's bumping, the aroma of the place, the acceptance of any and everyone, the drinks that will scratch whatever itch you have from bitter to sweet to frothy to foamy to bubbly to teas to espressos to topo chicos... you're in good hands here. There about 10 sandwiches to choose from. El Centro is my fav and they'll run you about 13 bucks. But the scones which are vegan is where it's at. And no matter how busy they are. They always serve you with a smile and get you your items within 5-10 minutes. read more

I used to be a regular of both locations and the baristas are nice. But I don't like how Luis Rodriguez, the owner of both Stations, has been silent/denying the sexual harassment allegations from his grand niece and other women/nonbinary people. There's no way these people are all "lying". I've also heard that he is creepy towards female customers, so if you're a woman who goes to this business, be careful. I don't plan on ever supporting this business again and I suggest you all stay away from this business too. read more

The other coffee shops I visited during my trip to Seattle were sanitized, heartless establishments. The drinks were good but there was nothing thought provoking, nothing that made me look inward and reflect on myself as a person. The Station is the antithesis of these other shops. The Station is easy to get to from the Link. Exit the Beacon Hill station, turn right, walk across the street and you have arrived. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available. Inside you will find the walls covered with vivid art, a bulletin board overflowing with inclusivity that the Station seems to pride itself on, a stereo system sending out sounds and, of course, a drink and food menu. I opted for the Haitian Cold Brew with Oat Milk during my visit. The cold brew and oat milk combo was really good. It was smooth and bold. Despite being such a good drink, the price was much less than the other coffee shops I came across in Downtown. The Station definitely could've charged more for the quality they were selling. Overall, great drink, good vibes, inclusive environment. read more

Great coffee shop stop in the Beacon Hill neighborhood of Seattle, this time I was there to support some friends that are part of the Seattle Urban Book Expo. Lots of unique and flavorful coffee and teas to choose from, the breakfast menu looked delicious, looking forward to a morning stop to try it out. Lots of art throughout supporting local artists. The adult beverages offered also support the local community. Staff was very friendly with quick service and answered any questions. Bustling coffee shop with a cozy interior, delicious espresso drinks, and tasty pastries/bites. The oat milk latte ($4.25 for a small) was smooth and creamy. Blueberry scone ($3) was a great size, buttermilk-y, soft, lemon scented and studded with blueberries. They also had a giant list of delicious sounding specialty lattes! This small Cafe in Beacon Hill is so beautiful! I have never explored around the Beacon hill and was happy to meet a friend here. I'm surprised how this is so under-rated around the area. This definitely is a local gem, as the locals and baristas knew each other. I picked the house favorite D Angelo coffee withe brown sugar, it was so good. There is a community book cupboard where you can drop and pick books and a community garden where you can pick seeds too. I ll definitely go back to donate some books in the future. read more

Such a wonderful cafe and community gathering space! Very welcoming, good amount of seating inside, and all around nice atmosphere. Came here twice within a week! Solid food and drink offerings for a good price. The first time I got the Mexican mocha and second time I got a soy latte. Both great! Some pastries they get from other local bakeries where some they make in house like their biscuit which my sister got and looked delicious. I wish I would have gotten her name to give her a proper shoutout, but the woman with the glasses and the gorgeous hair made the best latte I have had in I don't know how long. I typically get a quad vanilla latte, and I'm pretty used to getting a coffee with dead shots (bitter and not ideal to drink), due to how they've been pulled. This coffee is so freaking good, thank you!! I also got the Breakfast Sandwich which is a simple sausage egg and cheese option, but the quality is good and the chipotle sauce kicks it up a notch. Decided to stop by here randomly after brunch and I am sure glad I did! I tried the Bowl of Soul, which consists of earl grey tea, honey, vanilla, and steamed milk. Extremely cute little coffee shop in Beacon Hill. I don't go out of my way for coffee but I'm glad I stopped by! Like many Seattle coffee shops, they all have little characteristics that sets them apart. I love the merch and gifts since artists who made them are local. There's even a Seattle Public Library machine that spits out stories that are a 1 min, 5 min, and 10 min read while you're waiting for the coffee. The other thing that I thought set it apart was the menu which, isn't unique, are comprised of a lot of tasty Mexican inspired drinks. Like, espresso with Too Chico? Kinda weird, tasty, and great mouthfeel. Guess it's no different than having any other type of mineral water alongside an espresso. While down in Seattle I looked up coffee that wasn't Starbucks. I came across this place and it's the place I never knew I needed! The delightful cafe has a local artist work displayed and available for sale. In addition, there was a women setting up her plants to sell as well. The menu featured a variety of coffee and wine/mimosa options for drinks and had a delicious breakfast menu. My husband and I ordered two mimosas, a breakfast sandwich and their oatmeal. The Station is a cool spot on Beacon Hill for coffee and grub. I visited The Station in need of some caffeine, as it's super close to the Beacon Hill light rail station and other businesses. The Station has a full menu, along with pastries, snacks and a full espresso menu. And, tea. One of these days I'm gonna get on that biscuits and gravy train, which they offer here! The cafe is spacious, and when I visited on a Sunday morning there were a few people working inside. I ordered a cold brew and it was solid. Service was easy and quick for getting my coffee to-go. I'm glad to learn about The Station, as I often visit Beacon Hill since one of my besties lives in the area. It was my first time being, never heard of this place even though I used to live in the Seattle area. This place was recommended to me by my cousin. I ordered their Mexican Hot Chocolate & it was pretty good. I don't think I've ever had Mexican hot coco before, so this was my first time. I wanted to try their coffee but was craving hot coco. Service was great but I am giving this place a 4 star because I've only tried one thing but 5 stars on their prices, so I have to go back and try more drinks! Food is good but the service... they're friendly to a fault in that they will take forever to make your drink or food because they're very much consumed in conversations with each other or patrons to the point that you wait half an hour for a cold coffee and a biscuit warmed up. I'd love to give it a higher rating because the menu is great, the breakfast sandwiches are good if you have an hour plus to kill in wait time and finally being able to eat. Also they have no plates or silverware so you eat out of the paper bag at your seat. Better for a quick cookie and a cold pre-made drink at the counter than an actual breakfast spot. read more

Have been visiting The Station regularly lately due to a number of car repairs at a nearby auto shop. I would come here for a coffee in the morning before they open to work a little before dropping off my car. It was on one of these visits that I learned that they were opening up a new location across the street and turning the original location into a wine bar. I visited The Station this week to check out the new location which has opened. It is located on the ground floor of Plaza Roberto Maestas which is a new affordable apartment complex located across the street from Beacon Hill Station. This location is just a half block away from the original location, but I think it will be a boon for the owners because it is a more visible location for commuters grabbing a morning coffee before heading over to Beacon Hill Station to head to work. The new location is significantly bigger than the old location, with more room to roam and places to sit inside. And they have free Wi-Fi and gender neutral restrooms here. The coffee menu here is pretty much the same, though there have been a few additions to the food menu. Scones are still available in the mornings, but they have also added items like breakfast sandwiches, stratas and tamales. The food here is reasonably priced and affordable. Outrageous prices simply don't work on Beacon Hill. The owners seem in tune with what the community wants in a coffee shop. If you are looking for a great coffee shop on Beacon Hill, there is simply no question that The Station is the best. read more

Came to Seattle for vacation and ended up staying at an Airbnb in beacon hill nearby this coffee shop. I would have to say, their coffee is pretty bomb and hit the spot perfectly. I came here twice, both times I got an iced americano with blueberry scone and some kind of currant scone. Americano was good. The coffee taste was perfect! Personally I enjoyed the blueberry scone a lot! Not saying the currant scone wasn't good, I just prefer the blueberry one. The people that work there and the customers that go there gave off a super positive vibe. When a song came on that everyone knew, they would start to sing together. It was an amazing experience for me. I thought that was amazing!! Highly recommend this place. I will def be back the next time I visit Seattle!! read more

Great spot for a quick delicious breakfast and to spend a lazy Saturday morning. Had their mocha Mexicana and a pay day latte (with half the amount of sweetness). Both drinks were delicious and hit the spot. We also tried the el centro sandwich which was so good. It's loaded with tomatoes, avocado, deli chicken and jalapeños, with a side of potato salad. The Station has been my Beacon Hill favorite since middle school! I remember their first location and sitting in the back patio planning programs and catching up with friends. Their new location has the same cozy, and warming atmosphere I experienced so long ago. The amazing customer service, delicious drinks, and the beautiful community that The Station is in the middle of. This isn't a post of if you should go here, but WHEN you do, I suggest you get their Chocolate Mexicano 20oz. In 10 years, their recipe and flavor has not changed. I remember first sipping on it way back when. When I had it again today, I felt the warmth and memories flash back. The Station is a Beacon Hill statement. If you're looking for a coffee shop by the community and for the community, this is your place! It's located in Beacon Hill and does a fantastic job repping and respecting people of color and their history. It's a great place to chill and catch up with friends, they have hip hop playing and Netflix on the TV screen. There's a good amount of seating along the window and you can buy their t shirts and art created by the local artists. In terms of coffee, this is one of my friend's favorite places, he feels good supporting this place. I got the D'angelo with oat milk, it's their brown sugar latte. And it was sooooo tasty! Despite its tiny, modest size, The Station was hopping with really friendly barista/counter staff. Tasty mochas (Herkimer coffee)! Clearly a well loved indie café where there is a constant stream of true regulars and very dog friendly during my two hour visit. Just remember - CASH only!
