Moonshot Coffee is one of my MUST VISIT locations when ever I'm in the area. I absolutely love the quality and attention to detail in every aspect from the coffee beans to the local art. Baristas are friendly and know their craft. I appreciated their consideration and willingness to discuss ingredients to help me avoid my allergens. Taking the time and care for someone about allergies is unfortunately a rarity and I LOVE when a shop treats everyone (including those with allergies) as a valued guest. I enjoyed so many Cardamom Lattes with Oat Milk last time I was in White Center. The space is great and the service was friendly but the coffee was pretty expensive. I ordered a simple latte with hemp milk and it cost about $5...I'm willing to give it another shot though. Moonshot felt a little out of place for the main white center strip but it was a really nice coffee spot. read more

I'd love to love this place... they use Olympia Coffee Roasting, which is the best in the state IMO, the name is great, its in my neighborhood, they have some great brands throughout the store from cold brew to micro brew, and the coffee is really good. But the owner is usually just kind of a jerk. Not sure what his deal is. His employees are a lot better than him, but I'm 2/6 on negative interactions and 2/2 of them are with the owner just kind of being grumpy/douchie. I'll try a couple more times before it goes on my banned list. Oh, and they do drip rather than pour overs. Olympia Coffee Roasting is made for pour overs. read more

Me and my bf decided to give it another chance because we love the coffee there. Yesterday on Sunday around noon, I told my bf to go in and pick up some coffee because I didn't want to go in since the lady was a bit mean (my last review). He came out with the coffee and told me everything was cool until he was walking towards the door to leave the lady told him to say hi to Molly (me) for her. I took that as provoking and took it personally since she apparently read the review, didn't apologize but instead felt like she didn't want us to come back. But she succeeded, I really regretted coming back for the coffee. Fresh Flours down the street is more than friendly, beautiful inside, and has amazing fresh French pastries, but just serve Stumptown instead (not my preference). read more

YEA NO, I WISH I COULD GIVE A ZERO. I'm a fairly quiet person so this interaction was by far the most awkward. The two baristas working both did not greet me, and when I asked for a macchiato she made a point so let me know that they aren't Starbucks....as a barista of 4 years, I'm very sure that my job ( not Starbucks ) teaches you how to make a macchiato since it's not exclusive to Starbucks at all. Not only that but she was so busy telling me how they weren't Starbucks ( talking to me like an idiot because I am a lesbian who dresses very feminine and she assumed I've only had Starbucks before ) that when I asked her for hot, she kept saying iced so I just went with it. She gave me my drink, which didn't taste at all good, so I had the courage to go back and ask them to remake it and they said they don't do that so they'd have to charge me for an entirely new drink ( the drink cost $8.5!!!!) though I only took a few sips. Oh yea and the new drink they made me coffee was spilled all over and she rolled her eyes at me when setting it on the counter after sassing me a minute before saying "yea I took you order and I know you said iced". You don't talk to people that way, let alone people your hoping to return. I watched the two baristas greet multiple other customers and each time they started conversation. Ironically I was the only brown person who stepped in the store that they paid no mind to at all. I don't care if an establishment is LGBTQ+-- if you aren't inclusive to ALL ( not just your white lgbtq+ customers ) and treat your customers that way, I won't be supporting. read more

Cute small coffee shop in the heart of White Center's business district. The coffee I had was very good, and the barista was very friendly and welcoming. The place is pretty small, so if it's busy, you may not be able to find a place to sit. They have sidewalk tables, which are nice in summer. read more

Visiting my old neighborhood during vacation and so happy to find this coffee shop. I love it's sister Burien Press and this one is just as lovely. Coffee is so unique and delicious. Came in with all three littles and even when there was a spill everyone was lovely and friendly. I was especially pleased with how sweet and welcoming the barista was to an elderly woman who had just moved into the neighborhood. Wish I lived nearby and I would frequent more often. Moonshot coffee is definitely a hidden gem! The place is filled with REAL plants and amazing natural lighting. I had the seasonal Miel which is a drink made with cinnamon and honey it was perfectly balanced with cream and coffee. Super friendly baristas with mad product knowledge, serving up a skill heavy product. The roast they are working with is certainly above average, but it's the drink crafting and the cool vibe on offer that make this place a must-visit. I am a huge coffee snob going way back, and I felt thoroughly catered to and cared for. Pastries were absolute top drawer. They have a nice minimalist-modern design aesthetic that somehow manages to be warm. This block is hopping right now with small biz entrepreneurship, and I hope these guys are still here in twenty years - they seem to be doing everything right. read more

Logan, the barista, gave us samples of different coffees, gave us advice on where to eat in the area, and topped off our coffees before we left. Moonshot Coffee has taken place of my favorite cafe in White Center, Caffè Delia. You can't miss it since it's located right next to the popular Proletariat Pizza and has a facade that states "COFFEE". Moonshot is owned and run by those of Burien Press. The barista and owner Matt was super welcoming and excited to be steaming up some coffees. They use Olympia Coffee Roasting Company coffee (one of my favs!) and have pastries from Standard Baking--be sure to get an Pocket Pie. Don't worry Delia fans, they'll still have the Caffè Delia scones on occasion. Otherwise, I highly recommend their "adult pop tarts" known as pocket pies. They are working out some kinks today during their "soft" Grand Opening today! Nonetheless, my almond milk latte had a killer foam! Plus their vanilla syrup is homemade. I hope they provide simple syrup and honey for personal touches. I have been in here multiple times and all the baristas (Matt, Ian and Mariah) make a perfect latte. I wish them to best! read more
