Cafe Osita has become a cute little neighborhood staple.vThey have a small selection of locally baked goods, including gluten free options, dog treats for the fur babies, and small snacks for the human babies. Hours are posted but sometimes seem to be hit or miss without much notification on whether or not they are closed/open. Coffee is a little bit too bitter for my liking, but I love coming here with my daughter and dog for the service and ambiance. It's a great little stop on the way to our playground! read more

What an amazing place! The owners are so friendly and really make you feel welcomed. The banana bread was soo good, I already want more. This is a local shop and really worth supporting. read more

Cafe Osita - Ginger peach iced tea Banana Bread - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Seattle, Washington

Friendly, quick service, quality house made food, delicious drinks. Many ingredients are local/organic. The ambience is small but warm. Just wish there was more seating, however their space is currently expanding. West Seattle needs more independent cafes with a cozy, communal vibe. read more

Delicious house brewed chai. Great conversation with the proprietors while one crafted my chai, and the other rolled out the days pastries for baking. Wish I lived closer, I'd be a regular! read more

This place is the BEST. Run by the owners themselves, this cafe feels like a little slice of 90's Seattle heaven. The coffee is always excellent, and the breakfast sandwiches are fantastic!!!! Make sure you try their homemade hot sauce! As someone who grew up in Seattle with a love for small coffee shops, this place hits the nail on the head. It's the perfect little neighborhood cafe, with excellent product, super friendly service, and a great location. I will be back as long as they are open. read more

Awesome place. Coffee is great. Homemade goods are top tier. And owners represent the best of old-school hospitality.

The nicest owners!! Amazing breakfast sandwiches, great coffee, and baked goods. I feel so lucky to have this gem in my neighborhood.

SO much to love about this place! To start, the coffee is fantastic! I've been drinking coffee all over Seattle and this place is at the top of my list! And there's so much more! Some great breakfast and lunch options (esp the chicken salad, yum!). And lots of super tasty baked goods. Plenty of dairy-free and gluten-free options (which are shockingly delicious for someone who loves gluten :)). And if those weren't enough reasons to go there, the owners are so charming and fun! Now get over there and see for yourself! read more

This place is the perfect stop. Worldly, small, peaceful, delicious food. The people running it are awesome, friendly, and the kind of people you're happy to have met, even at the beginning of the morning. Cafe Osita - Breakfast Sammie w/ house made hot sauce - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Seattle, Washington

Cafe Osita is a hidden gem, the store is tiny and easy to miss. Inside you will find a coffee lovers dream, the espresso is smooth and drinks well made. Soup is made from scratch and changes daily. Paninis are fresh and delicious, I had the vegetarian caprese, it was warm, gooey and crunchy all at once. They also offer an assortment of delicious looking pastries and snacks. Staff was incredibly pleasant and helpful. read more

I LOVE this joint. It is a must hit when I am traveling (especially southbound) on 35th in the Westside. The coffee is good, but the service is fantastic! Rotating art selections on the walls...Friendly regulars at bistro tables...Egg Nog Lattes in OCTOBER! Zoinks! A nice choice of nibbles - even for the vegetarian. Now, this cafe is SMALL, but don't let that discourage you. Drop on by and have a cup. Andrea will likely help you and she is nice. Real nice. read more

Updating my review! It's 2019 and this is still the BEST cafe in West Seattle! The food is all fresh, made to order, the coffee is delish and prices are just right! The owner Andrea, knows every costumer and makes you feel right at home. I've been coming here for YEARS! And even now that I live across the water, every day I come into town for work, I hit Osita! I get a no meat breakfast Sammie or the tuna! My hubby gets any of the extraordinary sandwiches but get ma it with SAUCE! Ohhh yess Andrea has the best HOT SAUCE and can make any good item spicy for ya! Homemade soups, pastries for your sweet tooth and a fridge of extras like juice, yogurt and more! Cafe Osita is right on 35th Ave SW, right next to the laundromat! Go get your Osita on! read more

Cafe Osita - a sandwich and a drink - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Seattle, Washington

I've never felt so shamed as a mother than when I visited this place... I live in the neighborhood and stopped in to get a coffee and treats for the kids. We sat down and had an accidental milk spill. I apologized and asked for a rag to clean the milk and thanked the owner for the help but could tell the owner was very annoyed who then asked my giggling children, who were enjoying the frog cookies we purchased, to sit quietly. I promise their laughs were no louder than an adult and muffled by the loud espresso machine. I apologized to the patrons sitting next to me who assured me that we weren't bothering them. The coffee is great here... but sadly this place is not a real community building place. read more

Stopped by and grabbed a coffee here this morning on my way in to work. Mike helped me out. Super friendly! I really enjoyed my coffee. The pastries looked yummy and so did the sandwiches and soups they offer. I definitely plan on coming back and hopefully becoming a regular. This is exactly my idea of a local coffee shop! read more

Never stray away from anything that is tried and true and you know you love! Today I threw away my hazelnut latte from Bird on a Wire and headed down to Cafe Osita. Not only was it not as tasty as the delicious ones at Cafe Osita, but it was tainted with rudeness from the person making it. If I'm paying $5 for a coffee, the least you can do is smile when you hand it to me. I've only been here 3 times, but each time the barista smiles (regardless of who it is working there) and makes me feel welcome to be there. I've chatted with them about randomness every time, even after they're done making my coffee (which is the best hazelnut latte I've EVER had!) All it takes is one great experience. Now I'm hooked and can say I will be a regular for a good long time. Keep up the great work guys! read more

Always happy with Cafe Osita! Superb vanilla latte and just tried the sausage breakfast Sammie for the first time - I'm hooked! Incredibly fresh, soft focaccia and a little hot sauce for kick. The proportions are just right. And have to mention the outstanding customer service. I left with a smile because they sincerely care about each and every customer. They chat with customers as though they are old friends (who knows, they might be, but had me fooled). I'd only been in once before but I felt so welcome, like I'd been there a thousand times. It's amazing what a little friendliness and positivity can do for business. I'll be back again soon! read more

A cute, tiny coffee shop with good coffee and even better breakfast sandwiches. I'm bummed that I no longer live near this place. Worth stopping at if you're in the neighborhood. read more

What they said (previous reviewers) ! Andrea and her staff are top notch baristas and friendly to boot! I absolutely love their coffee/espresso - these folks make a great drink with great flavor. The shop (though a quaint cafe size, yes it is small) is nice and cozy enough that you want to stick around to enjoy your drink; the rotating art is nice too. I only refrain from a five star since: * No hours of operation posted anywhere on the cafe door/window * Closed when I am on my way to work (no coffee before 7AM) :( * Closed at or before 5PM Sadly, I rarely get to enjoy a coffee there, due to my work schedule & their hours of operation. I'd love to be a regular someday, maybe they will consider opening earlier, to make customers of morning commuters and bus riders such as myself. Until then, I sadly spend my coffee $ at other places that ARE open. I do hope their business does well; there wasn't a good coffee place nearby until Cafe Osita came along. Cheers & Good luck! read more

Cafe Osita is the best, no doubt about it. The coffee is perfect, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is fantastic. Mike and Andrea always make you feel welcome and it's a perfect way to start the day. My personal favorite is a tall latte accompanied by an egg and cheese sandwich, tasty to be sure. There are no shortage of great coffee shops in (West) Seattle, but Cafe Osita stands out...you won't be disappointed! read more

Small town cafe shop in growing West Seattle! When I found Cafe' Osita off the Avenue years and years ago, I U-turned so I could try it. Instantly there was a connection... It is my staple coffee shop! I just love that they know my name and my drink, they take interest in our life and our son's life. Our family loves the "Sammies" I prefer the meatless with arugula where the guys like the ham and sausage. I love their coffee beans which I typically purchase a pounder as well as my Americano! My absolute favorite is the Tuna Sandwich with caramelized onions and a pickle, YUMMY!!! Thank you Cafe' Osita for suburb costumer service and offered menu. I just love what you have to offer! read more

Cafe Osita - Thank you for always welcoming me and my family. We love the spirit when walking into Cafe Osita as well as the conversations & smile! - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Seattle, Washington

I ordered a coffee special here; it was espresso, dark chocolate with orange peel and DELICIOUS! Staff is very friendly, prices are super reasonable. All in all great coffee place. Love the fact that its next to a laundromat so I can grab a cup of coffee and do my laundry! read more

I absolutely loved their sausage breakfast sandwich and their coffee. They were attentive and helpful and quick. I read some of the reviews below about them being slow to help customers because they are talking to regulars - well, when we arrived they were talking to a regular, but promptly ended the conversation when we walked in and took care of our needs. I guess they read their Yelp reviews... Anyways, I loved this place and will be back! read more

Andrea and Michael are great and half of the reason to go into Cafe Osita. I would be in there more often, but they are closed when I am leaving for work, and closed again on my way home. After only being in once and having just moved to the hood, I know I'll be back... a lot. Friendly service, friendly patrons, delicious eats and great local coffee. I can't wait to try more on the menu, but the turkey, pineapple, and chipotle mayo panini was really satisfying. And I almost got hungry again while using the wifi as Mike read off their house-made soups! read more

I LOVE their grilled veggie sandwich! It was so full of flavor, and the perfect size for a filling lunch. The staff are super friendly, and we're very patient with me while I fumbled through ordering coffee (I had just started). Really positive experience! read more

Such a cute, locally owned coffee shop. I got a Naranjo, which is a mocha with dark chocolate and some orange zest. I don't like sweet coffee so I appreciated the flavors without the sugary-ness, it was perfect. Just like other reviews say, the people working there are really nice and welcoming. They don't have WiFi and limited sitting space. I think this is a nice place to stop for coffee with a friend or read a bit. They do have a small sign that says to limit sitting for 30 minutes to give other customers a chance, so keep that in mind. Still, I wasn't planning to do work when I went in, just waiting for a friend so it was fine for me. Overall, good place to stop by for a cup of coffee! read more

I only started going to Cafe Osita recently when my dryer broke so that I could use the laundromat next door, but now I'll be a regular at this gem of a spot! The chai tea is so good and they always offer me fresh ground nutmeg on top. The breakfast sandwich is SO GOOD as well. The best part by far, however, is the people. They are so kind, friendly, and just generally lovely to interact with. They are always offering a fresh baked something or other to taste at the counter (once a biscuit, another time a cookie) which just adds to the charm. It's a tiny, cozy spot. I live in white center but will for sure be coming out to Cafe Osita for many days to come. Bonus: They play great music - today was the first nickel creek album (one of my favorites). read more
