I give this place 5 stars because I am a French Cruller fan and these are the best I have had. All the other donuts are very good and solid but the Cruller is off the charts. Perfect texture. The owner here says he had very similar donuts while living in China, he called it the Chinese donut. If you look them up, they are long not round. We have been visiting this place for years, it is located in Fillmore, CA, where my mother lives. We hit it at least once a visit. It's in the shopping center next to Starbucks and Vons. read more

I had a chocolate covered buttermilk donut and it was the best donut I have ever had in my life. It was rich, a little crisp on the outside and moist on the inside. The chocolate was delicious. The owner was a delight to talk to. He was happy to chat a bit about donuts and life. It was the best experience I have ever had at a donut shop. My wife had stopped by Moonlight Donuts a few months ago while traveling from Santa Maria to Victorville and raved about the donuts from this place. Last week we were traveling together through Fillmore and she suggested I try one. We entered the place and the owner was friendly and engaging. I selected the Apple Fritter and the Blueberry cake donuts. Both were insanely tasty. My eyes rolled into the back of my head when I tried the Blueberry cake donut right there in the store. The combination of crispy and sweet was totally amazing. The owner has a fascinating and inspiring story about his arrival in the US 30 years ago and is a true example of immigrant success. read more

Favorite donut shop for fresh donuts! We drive out from the Santa Clarita Valley for them on occasion and always make a point of stopping for donuts here on our way to and from Ventura. Staff is friendly. Even though they are 24 hours, sometimes the shop will be closed for an hour or so if the owner steps out if he is the only one working at that time. read more

I only bought one because they were so big, but it was the best g-d donut I've had in my life. I had a Boston Creme, and it was warm, but the creme wasn't warm, and the outside had a slight crunch - quite honestly - it was like biting into heaven. It's a quite and relaxing atmosphere. There's always an old person drinking coffee in here. My favorite is the regular chocolate glazed donut. It's pretty fluffy. I just wish it was air conditioned. They only accept cash so remember to bring bills/change. read more
