I came in looking to special order cookies and cream donuts for my daughters bday hoping they would spread some charm usually establishments do that when you mention a celebration is being celebrated . This darling whimsical new shop had me in awe. I was greeted at the door with an inviting smile, cashier helped me decide what donut to pair with my latte, was in and out within a good time span as well. Let me start out by saying those who are comparing these donuts to Simone's are comparing caviar to chicken strips. Both are good but they're on different levels. These are grommet donuts, not your average going into the break room to find a half empty box of dollar donuts. We went this morning and got 3 donuts... Vietnamese coffee, maple campfire, and raspberry. First bite we both were pleased to find a fluffy flavorful donut. I'm excited to have something that brings more charm and life to the neighborhood. We tried Moonbridge after being donut fans for a long time. Understanding that there are a variety of donut shop styles. We love the 24 hour shops with a styrofoam cup of coffee, high fat and sugar bombs mostly in this area of Long Beach. It's now nice to have a high end option as well. The donuts were fluffy and unique. I enjoyed them all. That said, others in our family who were less adventurous or expect a donut to be sweet and not savory, stuck to classics like glaze and the fritter (which was dubbed the greatest fritter in the world by my 10 year old). So, if you are looking for a Long Beach donut "bakery" in line with Side Car down in Costa Mesa, you will enjoy Moonbridge. read more

A cheap, familiar donut shop is not what you will get at Moon Bridge. There are a zillion of those shops on every corner here in Long Beach- so if that's your jam, go to one. Moon Bridge Donut Studio offers more of an artisanal donut experience with a variety of delicious flavors: Vietnamese coffee, strawberry and their rich chocolate are our favorites so far.
