Because I couldn't wait to eat it so here is the magical cronut half eaten. It's a small family owned business. The people are so friendly and nice. It's a great stop on your way to work. They also have a drive thru which can be long at times, but worth it! I've also been told their drinks are excellent too. Wil try that on my next stop.

This cute little drive-thru coffee and donut shop may be small, but there is a lot going on! We went inside today for coffee and Apple Fritters. What a treat! Staff are super nice and friendly. Everything was prompt and served with a smile. I noticed that the drive thru kept quite busy. There are plans to add some outdoor seating as well. Plenty of parking available.

First time visitor Small cozy stand but has a full service donut bake good coffee selection Few parking spots but there is also a drive through too Very cozy festive decor with seating for like 6? Greeted warmly Ordered a croissant which was huge Plain cinnamon toasted bagel And avoided donuts for now but will come back Also serve a variety of caffeine drinks and minimal food like breakfast burrito and bowls Definetly local hole in the wall but will come back to try more. Seem plenty to offer in a functional cute decorative space Thanks for starting my day with tasty goodness

Adorable hole in the wall donut shop! I only went here for the first time because I ordered on Too Good to Go. I got so much for my assorted bag! Their donuts are delicious, soft, fluffy, and definitely hit the spot. Don't forget to try their bagel chips too! It's a small shack with limited seating but if they were open later, I would definitely do some work here. Friendly people working behind the counters!

I always pass by Donut Boss but never thought to stop in--until today! With a little extra time on my hands, I decided to check it out, and I'm so glad I did. This cute little spot has a quaint charm that makes it inviting. The decor is simple yet warm, with lots of natural light, making it a pleasant place to enjoy a treat. The parking lot is somewhat small, but they do offer a unique carpool drive-thru, which is innovative and definitely a plus for those on the go! Once inside, I was greeted by the tempting aroma of freshly baked goods. I went for the classics: a glazed donut, a chocolate donut, and some donut holes. As a firm believer that a well-made glazed donut is the benchmark for any donut shop, I was excited to try theirs--and it did not disappoint! The glazed donut was light, fluffy, and perfectly sweet, striking that delicate balance between sugary and airy. Now, let's talk about those donut holes--wow! They were not only delicious but also the size of the palm of my hand! Incredibly soft and fluffy, these little gems had that delightful yeasty flavor that made them hard to resist. I couldn't believe how satisfying they were, and they definitely set a new standard for donut holes in my book. You really get your money's worth with these! And the chocolate donut? It was fried to perfection and generously dipped in rich chocolate. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it didn't have that burnt taste that I've encountered too many times elsewhere. It was decadent without being overwhelming, which is a feat not easily achieved. The cashier was friendly enough, though not overly so, which I found refreshing. He was quick and efficient, getting my order right without any fuss. Sometimes, all you really need is a smooth transaction, and that's what I got. Overall, Donut Boss is the perfect pit stop to grab some delicious donuts to kick-start your day or enjoy as an afternoon treat. The quality and flavor of the donuts definitely exceeded my expectations. I'll be back to explore more of their offerings, especially considering the enticing selection I saw while I was there. Highly recommend this charming spot to anyone who loves a good donut!

I've been a loyal customer for a while but this is my first review. #1- Their baristas are very kind, cool, and attentive. Great service! #2- Their coffee is amazing, blends, seasonal drinks, teas, wow! So many options and add-ons. Their Twilight menu last year was so fun. (Their menus are fun and artistic.) #TeamEdward. #3- My boss absolutely loves their bagels and he is a bagel connoisseur. I took a dozen to work and everyone loved them. Very fresh. #4- The drive thru moves fairly quickly! #5- Their breakfast options are delicious too, crescent sandwiches or a burrito.

Fresh delicious Cronut, was sweet, and perfectly with its fluffy layers of goodness. Never had before.

Great customer service, went thru Drive-Thru, was quick, easy, & the nicest lady w/beautiful done-up nails was quite pleasant. First time here, I ordered Turkey & cheese croissant, chocolate twist donut, & cronut; Me and my friends shared and couldn't believe how perfectly delicious all 3 were. Definitely returning! And telling family & friends about Donut Boss! (Who or What is really the BOSS?? lol)

I was craving for donuts and didn't wanna travel too far for some. And then I remembered that it's been a few years since my last Donut Boss experience. Well, I'm glad I gave them another go coz they're better this time around. I had my usual glazed donut... it was fluffy and fresh. While a tad too sweet for my liking, the donut was still delightful. I had no complaints about the service. I got mine via their drive-thru so I can't say much about the ambiance. Overall, it was a good buy and decision.

Here we go.... I've lived in Los Alamitos for 2 years and this is the most convenient donut shop close to my house. I've came here over at least 20 times.. each time is a hit or miss.. I usually always get the egg bacon and cheese croissant brown sugar decaf latte with oat milk... each time it's a different experience.. I guess it depends on who prepares the items. Each time I say I'm not going to go back .. I end up going back out of convenience. However today will be my last time... the service is also a hit or miss.. it's cool too see young kids working however that's comes at a cost. The food and drinks are very mid. The price seems to fluctuate each time I go and the quality has been very subpar. Unfortunately the cute aesthetics and pet friendly vibe will not suffice for the low quality service, food and beverage.

    Heartbreaker and a dozen

I have been LOVING the seasonal drink "heartbreaker" if you're craving donuts and coffee, go grab it here!

This is supposed to be a strawberry matcha. Is the matcha in the room with us? Cuz all I stated was milk and syrup.
    T H.

Just spent a lot of money on an ice matcha and it ended up being just a whole lot of milk and syrup with a sprinkle of matcha powder. It was sickening sweet and so pale. So disappointing that I spent money and added tip to this monstrosity of a drink . Not going back

    Variety of donuts

Donuts are fresh, breakfast burritos are Delicious. The staff is super friendly and patient. They also have a drive thru!!

I don't know why my coffee looks like this

Coffee review This location has a drive-thru option which is ideal because the freeway being so close. I explained to the employee it was my first time there and learned their smallest option is 16 oz (which is 2 cups). I originally asked for blueberry syrup and sugar in my coffee when the employee asked me again what I wanted I asked if the blueberry syrup is sweet and was told yes so I opted out of sugar and ordered coffee, cream and blueberry syrup. YUCK! When I tried my coffee my first thought was it tastes like soy sauce (not sweet at all). I honestly don't know if it's the coffee that taste bad or the "blueberry" syrup. This drink is so gross I can't drink any more, which is so disappointing because I love and want coffee for my morning drive up the 405. The service wasn't great (unfriendly), the coffee was gross, and I paid $5 for 16 oz of this coffee. I'm giving them 2 stars because they are located near freeway and are drive-thru and maybe their donuts are good IDK!

I ordered the bacon cheeseburger on sourdough with onion rings and an Arnold Palmer (more lemonade than tea). God, the service from my server Sarah was amazing too. The overall ambience and atmosphere knocked me off my socks too. Absolutely shocked how juicy the burger was, then again I did order it medium rare. The highlight of my meal were the onion rings. I had the feeling that they were double battered, breaded, and then fried. Felt like I died and went to heaven as I ate those onion rings. The food gets 5 stars Onto the most important highlight of my experience eating here, my wonderful and amazing server, Sarah. She was awesome and gave me a full rundown of all of the sides, sauces, cheeses that could come with my burger. Loved her warm attitude and running commentary as I ordered. Knowing that she loved the Arnold Palmer and bacon cheeseburger with onion rings made me feel like I made the right choice. Pretty cool to have a server with similar tastes in food. Also, she helped move my walker out of the way so it wouldn't block the flow of foot traffic. Kudos to her for that too. She'll probably be my favorite member of the wait staff if I ever come back for lunch again. Overall, a sweet girl with the right attitude. 5 stars for her amazing service. Finally, the overall appearance and ambience of the restaurant made me feel like I stepped back into my childhood in the 2000s. Timeless decor and comfortable seating along with it being busy during lunch with regulars made me appreciate this place even more. The wait for my food wasn't terrible considering it was the lunch rush. If anything the time it took made everything taste better. The overall ambience and vibe of the place gets 5 stars as well. Los Alamitos definitely has some amazing restaurants and this place is an absolute gem. I'm definitely coming back.

My friends and I were staying at a hotel nearby and decided to make the 15 minute walk over, and it ended up being one of the best parts of the trip. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming. The cashier was incredibly kind and patient, and even though the place was busy, everything moved quickly and smoothly. There were people studying, having conversations, relaxing with friends, and it just had that perfect coffee shop energy that makes you want to stay longer than you planned. The coffee itself was amazing. It tasted smooth, fresh, and honestly addictive without being overpowering. You could tell there was real care put into making it. Some places are overhyped, but this one actually lived up to the feeling people look for when they want a "good coffee shop experience." This is one of those places that becomes part of the memory of a trip. I would genuinely come back to SoCal just to visit this coffee shop again.

Hits, lattes? HITS HARDER, new drinks like their walnut latte? Oh you bet it's fire. Their VTM coffee tastes very very authentic as well and I'm very obsessed with this place. When you enter and specially in the morning they're usually busy so you do have to stand in the line to order or go straight and pick up the order online if you've made one online. They're very very fast and efficient! Every single time I go Alex always takes good care of me, we're pretty much best friends at this point! On top of that, Kevin and Barbra are also extremely friendly and I really love their attitude in the past few months that I've been going to this place I HAVE NEVER had a bad experience with any of the employees quite the opposite, they actually make the start to my day 10x better! My mom didn't love the pop pie, I think because it wasn't really a pie- just a dish with biscuits on top but the Cobb salad was really hearty with a lot of toppings and it filled them up plenty. I really appreciated the fries actually not tasting soggy despite the seasoning on top. The chicken bowl with eggs were delicious too. I liked the coleslaw they included as well. It had a nice black pepper flavor to it that made everything taste a bit more brightened. I wish it gave me a no rice / all slaw option. I also liked the lack of sour / mayo laden nature of typical coleslaw. This, I wouldn't mind eating all the time. I usually otherwise can't stand coleslaws. The service was friendly and efficient. The pricing was reasonable for the amount of food I got. The place had good parking and the online ordering went through without a hitch. Looking forward to returning again in the future.

Just thinking about the Egg N Bird Sandwich is making my mouth water as I write this. The food here…read moreis a bit on the pricier side, but the quality and portion sizes make it absolutely worth it. The crack sauce lives up to its name--it's slightly sweet, a little tangy, and tastes like a blend of BBQ and honey mustard with a sriracha kick. The fries are perfectly crispy and even better when dipped in that sauce. Do yourself a favor and order an extra side (or two) of the crack sauce. You won't regret it.

We decided to try this new spot after seeing photos and reviews online, but unfortunately the…read moreexperience didn't match the expectations. It's no longer really a sit-down restaurant and feels more like an order-and-seat-yourself setup, which wasn't clearly reflected online. The menu also seemed very different from what was advertised, with limited options and unclear drink sizing/pricing that increased the total unexpectedly. The service was just okay. The cashier came across annoyed when we asked questions, almost like we should've already known the answers. We also noticed a younger employee bringing in family members, cutting ahead of other customers, seating them personally, and taking their order while everyone else waited. On top of that, a customer in a wheelchair was placed in a very tight corner without a proper accessible seating area, which was honestly disappointing to see. The wait time was also long considering the restaurant wasn't extremely busy. We waited close to 30 minutes for two plates while still waiting on the rest of the order. As for the food, it looked promising but lacked flavor. The pesado Burrito especially was disappointing -- mostly onions, dry carne asada, and missing the tots that were supposed to come with it. Overall, the food felt very bland and under-seasoned. I can see the vision behind the restaurant, and the place has potential, but the lack of efficiency, organization, flavor, and customer care didn't match the price point or expectations.
