So happy this place is finally open! Stopped by on a holiday Monday and the service was prompt even though they had a line the whole time. Every detail seems so intentionally thought out here, the design is just fantastic. Donut flavors were so unique and delicious, but the Everything Bagel and Almond Citrus Poppyseed Old Fashioned were my favorites. The brioche-style is super cool, I don't think I've ever had a donut like this! It's not your traditional style, but it provides more bang for your buck as they are pretty hearty. The coffee was fantastic as well, and the staff was extremely kind to me when I jumped the gun and took the wrong drink by mistake! The two times I've been here the staff have all been super friendly. The store decor is very homey and trendy. This is an adorable doughnut studio, huge gripe here though. The doughnuts had flies on them, they are not enclosed in a case so unfortunately their doughnuts are spoiled by flies landing on them. Doughnuts were nice and soft and not too overwhelming in terms of sweetness. As for customer service, one of the taller guys were rude to my friend and I who were excited to try the new coraline doughnuts. We were not welcomed by the worker and he spoke to us in such a distasteful tone. No smiles from him, which I would say does not fit the ambiance of the cute little shop. Soon after my friend and I received our order, another woman walked in, for which he provided a smile and greeting to. Not sure why he did not originally give the same energy to us, but if you do not like talking to people, you should not be in customer service. My friend and I will not be returning, and though this might not do much in terms of sales for the company, I hope others can read this review and be deterred or it be a means for change in the customer service of this shop. Just had to order a half dozen donuts to try all the cool flavors. I had Vietnamese Iced Coffee: 10/10! Not too sweet and so interesting, tiny bit of pleasant bitterness on the finish from the espresso beans. *Chefs kiss*--then I tried the raspberry and my taste buds were literally shocked, so incredible, you can tell they use real raspberries and this was the one I kept going back to even after I tried all of them. --next, the campfire pancake: their take on a maple donut, and the most popular. Was sweet and perfectly maple-y. maybe a little too sweet for me but I Still liked it. Then the Strawberry: it is sticky and packed full of real, fresh strawberry flavor. I didn't want to finish this one, but it was great. Next, double chocolate: perfect perfect perfect. Nothing bad to say. Perfect texture and actually not as sweet as you'd think a double chocolate donut would be. This was my second favorite. Finally, the vanilla sprinkle: wow I don't think I've ever tasted REAL vanilla bean, so this one was actually a little confusing to my mouth. So hard to describe. This doughnut shop is a delightful addition to the Long Beach food scene. I came in to grab a dozen or so for my Bookclub and the owner was so helpful, kind, and welcoming. One customer had the coffee & cigarette donut. When she told me that it was a coffee flavor, I wasn't going to get it at first. Came to swoop up some sailor moon donuts for sailor moon week and wasn't disappointed! I just missed the rush so I got lucky and didn't have to wait in a line that wrapped around the building. I also was able to swoop up every flavor! They're so good! And so unique- you won't get these flavors at other donut shops. My favorite was the Artemis donut, which was Pocari Sweat flavored! I'm not usually a grape fan either, but the grape flavor was subtle and wasn't overbearing. The only issue that's not even a real issue is that they're ALMOST too beautiful to eat!! Almost lol. Unfortunately- pretty unimpressed with these donuts. I've been wanting to take the kids and try this place out since they opened. We got there at around 12:30 and there was literally 1 churro type donut to pick from. I asked the woman working up front if that's all they had coming out and she said yes... so we ordered a few. They were ok. But what sucked was literally as we sat down - a batch of actual donuts came out. A little annoyed - I went back in line and bought one of the glazed donuts that had just come out and unfortunately - those weren't the best either. I honestly haven't been this disappointed in a purchase in a very long time. After reading some decent reviews, and intrigued by the unique flavors, I made a point to drive to moonbridge to see what all the fuss was about. Now I'm not a donut person, per se, but again, I was intrigued and craving some soft gooey carbs. I entered with the anticipation of biting into a fresh, soft, (maybe even warm?) Donut. I mean would that be a lot to ask ay those prices? I ordered a citrus brioche donut and raspberry cardamon cake one in order to try both kinds. I also decided to get the 5 spice latte at the last minute. It was described by the counter person as "autumn in your mouth". They took such care to pack the two donuts into a pretty box that I thought they must be delicate and fragile and made me even more excited to try them. My order was then tallied. $17 for 2 donuts and a coffee and then another $3 for the obligatory tip that everyone seems to be shaming us into lately. I had heard it was expensive, but I was still a little shocked. "No matter," I thought. "It will certainly be worth it." I then waited patiently over 10 minutes for 1 latte. That seemed very excessive especially since there were several workers and mine was the only drink they needed to prepare. As soon as I got in the car, I tore into the citrus brioche, expecting it to be soft and light. What I got was a tough, cold, almost stale tasting piece of tart, citrus frusting on a very plain tasting piece of bread. It reminded me of old panetone long after Christmas. The citrus was overwhelming instead of the hint of orange and lemon that was described and was only in the frosting. It might had be been better if it was pulled through the bread batter. Disappointed, I thought, "ok, that's not my thing" so I gave the raspberry one a try. The texture was grainy like those natural bars you get at a health food store that tastes like cardboard. I was crestfallen! When I got home, I tried to gently warm them in the oven to see if that would help, it did slightly, taking the taste from a 3 to a 4 out of 10, but who would do that besides me? Plus it melts the frosting and makes a mess. Now, mostly because of the cost. I have 1/2 of each sitting on my counter in a baggie waiting for me to get hungry enough tomorrow to try them again but most likely it is just the tour they are taking on the way to the garbage bin. Overall, so Disappointed. Oh, and the latte that was supposed to taste like autumn? Very basic. Needed a little more sweetness. Tasted more like a simple latte with a little nutmeg and cardamom tossed in. Saddly won't be back. read more

Needed a quick on the go breakfast for my seven-year-old this morning. Did a quick search next to our daycare and this was the closest stop. Aesthetically, the shop is very warm and inviting staff is very friendly. The pricing was pretty high upon first glance but the donuts looked extremely gourmet. My little guy selected a chocolate sprinkle donut and I got a drip coffee. I am not a coffee connoisseur, but this coffee was very umami. I'm not sure if it's an organic roast, or a "mushroom" blend but it was definitely not my cup of tea (or coffee in this case). I ended up finding it undrinkable and poured it out for a cup of teacher's lounge coffee. My little guy had two bites of the chocolate sprinkle donut and declared it to be "too chocolatey" and the icing too melty. I didn't get a chance to try the donut myself, and it ended up in the trash. Again, they look very gourmet and smell fantastic, but young children might not be the target audience for such an indulgent treat. Amazing donuts and amazing service! My wife and I tried the everything donut, apple fritter, and cacio e pepe cruller. All 3 were great, and it was definitely a unique take on donuts.
