My original appointment was with a man. He had ariel views of my yard. We went around together and picked out plants that fit my budget. Unfortunately the tree died within a couple of weeks. I had the insurance on it. When I reached out I was connected with Taylor. She has been great. We went back in and we were shown several that would fit better. I've been in contact with her and she is great. I purchased another tree and a bush from her. The support and professionalism has been outstanding. read more

Kelsey at MVN is a rockstar!! I was stressing about the life my tree was showing lately (planted in April) due to the extreme heat we have been experiencing, and she was able to put my mind at ease with a sound solution and continued guidance. Moments like this create customers for life. Thank you Kelsey for going above and beyond in tailoring a resolution for me! read more

Brandon is the best ! He guided us to the best solution for our ficus and pigmy palm trees!

Don't bother. They offered services they didn't provide. I was willing to pay all out for my backyard redo. I said it's a lot but was going to do it anyway. They never called or sent pictures and prices that I requested twice with no answer. I think unless you agree up front they won't talk to you anymore. I couldn't afford it That day but was going to do it any way. No call, text, pictures sent email or text never sent....really crappy service. I'll never go there again!!! Thanks Jon I just needed a quote and time to ensure I had it readily available. Jerk move! read more

First half of a tree removal + replacement, haven't had the actual work done yet. I worked with Pat M. in scheduling the removal of a huge eucalyptus tree in my front yard and he was awesome. I showed him a picture of it and with just one look gave me a totally reasonable estimate right off the bat. Plus he helped me pick out a replacement tree that would be easy for me to keep alive (I have the opposite of a green thumb) and two additional cacti. I was in and out in about 15 minutes, too, which is shocking. Everything's set and scheduled and I can't wait to see everything situated. (I'll update my review to include the service portion afterwards). UPDATE: The removal/install teams were great. They always called 20-30 min before arrival and always showed up when they promised. They were quick and knowledgeable, making sure that everyone was on the same page each step of the way. My yard looks great now and I didn't have to babysit anyone to get the work done. Would highly recommend. read more

Customer service is great (spoke with Tammy). The crew that came out to trim, shape and thin my Palo Verde tree did a great job. They are professional, knowledgeable and personable. read more

Got a nice Christmas tree here. Very fresh. Sky helped us find the perfect tree.

For the first time ever, we purchased trees from MVN this past Sunday! Our experience at the shop on 7th Street and with John & his workers when they came to install was absolutely awesome!!! We're looking to see what we can buy next!! Thanks for your excellent customer service to all Moon Valley Nursery staff!! read more

Preston and Stephanie at Moon Valley did an amazing job at designing my front and backyard ! Preston came out during plant install to make sure everything went smoothly and perfectly. I probably had close to a million questions and they addressed them all with professionalism and care. I really appreciate their attentiveness and enthusiasm in what they do, and bc of this I will keep returning as a customer. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for anything from a single plant to an entire yard remodel. read more

Recently completed a backyard renovation with sod and all new landscaping. I purchased my Ash tree and my shrubs from Moon Valley. The staff is always helpful and friendly. I am currently redoing the landscape in my front yard and Mike took the time to recommend which shrubs would do well with my northern exposure. I had to come back a few times and he was always helpful. My plants have acclimated well in the backyard and thriving even with the AZ heat. Thanks MV read more

The Moon Valley team at 7th street and Thunderbird have always been exceptional to work with for us. From our salesman, Matt and Arborist, Sean to the team that comes out to plant our trees, I can't offer enough gratitude for their services! On our most recent purchase of date palms, Roger, Preston and their team worked nonstop on a fairly difficult project. They did an amazing job and our trees look absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much! read more

I had an excellent experience at Moon Valley Nurseries with Harry, Tammy, Logan and Savannah. From the time I walked in until my trees were planted, I was kept informed and engaged with the process. The plant quality is outstanding and the communication is excellent. The only negative thing I would say is that there are a lot of little nickel and dime after the sale things to buy (tree care, warranty, etc). I'd rather those be built right in to the initial price. After you've spent a few thousand dollars, it's a bit of a shock to suddenly find out you need to pay a few hundred more. But excellent people and excellent service, nonetheless. :) read more

Can't say enough about the entire staff here! Picked up a Christmas tree here that looks amazing, and was very affordable! With all the craziness of 2020, Moon Valley and the whole team helped us have a bright spot in a beautiful tree to keep us company through the holidays! Big thanks to the whole team including and especially the manager Leon who was professional, courteous, and gracious. Highly recommend and will use for future needs! read more

This is my 4th year getting my tree here. The guys here are just outstanding and always make our experience special. We like big trees and they can deliver also. The past 2 years my granddaughter is the tree picker. They patiently wait for her choice and always tell her what good taste she has, so funny and just really nice. I want to thank them so very much, as their service is really appreciated and I could not recommend them more! read more

What a fantastic job moon valley nursery did with the trees for my landscape. They adjusted their schedule to meet mine, called in advance of their scheduled arrival time, were on time, communicated the layout well, did efficient & quality work, and cleaned up after. We had the best experience with Ashley. She was pleasant and knowledgeable. My wife and I have been back on 4 occasions to make purchases just because of the awesome experience we had with her. I would give her 10 stars if I could :) read more

We met Ashley this Spring. She has been a joy to work with. Having moved into a new construction home, we needed help with plants and trees. Ashley was there to help not only us, but also 2 of our neighbors. She was knowledgeable, professional, and just amazing!! Go to Moon Nursery on 7th St in Phoenix. Had the most surly and unhelpful sales person. I was just there to get a tomato plant (of which there was only one left - and the scrawniest sickly thing you have ever seen). I also requested a small bag of potting soil indicating with my hands a small bag. He rang up the purchase and said the potting soul would be out front. It was 110 degrees and I carry a portable oxygen generator. I walked out front with him and he proceeds to load a massive bag of soil in the car. Enough soil to plant a Forrest. I guess if I were ordering an assortment of 15 foot palm trees I would have gotten some customer service. read more

A huge thank you for Morgan and his crew for getting a large Ironwood removed from my front yard after the last set of storms. It was a bit of an emergency situation and they made it happen read more

This company is awesome all around. They have a great selection of plants for desert landscaping needs. There is also multiple locations throughout the Phoenix Metro making it easy to find a location near you. I am fairly certain they are the largest nursery in the state of Arizona so they have to be doing something right. Give them place a look if you want to add some life to your outdoor area. read more

If you have been following my previous review of Moon Valley Nurseries, you may be waiting to see how everything turned out. A big thank you to LP and his crew from MVN. Not only did they review our landscaping needs, but found that our soil was too salty and he suggested different trees that were approved for our backyard. Now, our outdoor "playground" is complete. LP is a very polite, down to business and as kind as they come, type of guy. I would be happy to return for any of our needs. Very pleased and more than satisfied with Moon Valley Nurseries. Thank you so much! read more

Great service good selection and Brandon was the best. Will use them again. The best. On time which really makes it a great experience

Brandon is the man! Totally recommend this place. Got me everything that I needed. Was very kind and helpful. Very knowledgeable too!

Moon Valley is excellent. Anytime there has been an issue they handle it immediately! I had 3 queen palms planted a few months ago and one just wasn't doing well. Moon Valley decided it needed replacing. I decided since they would be coming to my house I bought a large Ocotillo for my front yard to be included in the new planting. Unfortunately they brought the wrong Ocotillo. That was this past Thursday afternoon. This morning Mike and Reno brought the correct Ocotillo and planted it for me. Great guys, extremely professional and polite! Great job! read more

We had a great experience working with Moon Valley Nurseries! Will definitely use them again for any other future projects/needs. read more

Moon Valley Nurseries - Nurseries & Gardening Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

Our tree crew was amazing!!!!! Thanks to Nestor and his guys at Moon Valley they really came through for us! We had a very tall palm and hedges in the backyard that needed to be trimmed. They were on time, polite and professional. They consulted us at the beginning, throughout and at the end to make sure we were satisfied. The palm looked great and the hedge were perfect! We had some debris fall into the neighbors yards - I hadn't yet informed them of the cuttings but Nestor worked to ensure that the neighbors were also happy and that all trimming were picked up on all the neighboring properties. Our neighbors contacted us to let me know how great they did - which helped so much as I felt terrible I hadn't communicated with the neighbors better. Couldn't ask for a better experience!! read more

We had three trees trimmed and a soil injection completed. Both of the crews were very professional and did a great job. They left the work sight cleaner than they found it, and gave me lots of advice for keeping my trees and other pants healthy. This is the second project Moon Valley has done for us, and every experience has been fantastic. read more

Moon Vally Nurseries planted two citrus trees for me today .The John Markel and Will Muller and team were just terrific. This is the first time the citrus were -landed by the book. So through to make sure they were planted exactly where I wanted them and dug a deep hole , making sure it had a good well built for watering. They explainEd how I needed to take care of my citrus as they worked diligently. I cannot say enough how great they all were for my planting job. Thank you ! read more

Went here today with my husband and our doggie to look around and get an idea of what we're doing next. Everyone was very kind and helpful. Stephanie went ABOVE and beyond to try to help us figure out what to use on our last tree that was planted and isn't doing so hot. Stephanie, we appreciate you very much! I sent an inquiry about removing two trees in my backyard, I guy will not say his name replied to the email. Where to start? We've been working with Ray at the 7th Street MVNursery for over a year now. He NEVER steers us wrong! We recently had to replant quite a few plants in our back yard due to a mal-functioning irrigation system that had been put in by another company several years ago. With a new system in place we were ready to get our yard back in shape. It was way and above and BEYOND the amount of time Ray spent with us taking our photos and superimposing just the right plants to see how it would look. He also used a photo tool that pulled up images from Google Maps but working with our photos we got much better results. He went over the pros and cons of different plants (we had very specific concerns, including rabbits and places for snakes to hide since we are on the desert.) We are thrilled with the results! Next up, we decided to go all out and purchase a very tall Jacaranda tree. Ray is an expert!!! Once again, he took us all around the property showing us many sizes, split trunks and single trunks. We were prepared to go all out and purchase a rather expensive mature tree. He never pressured us; he explained the differences, drew pictures, explained wind, soil, sun, water needs, pruning and extended care. He let us make a very informed decision. We are so excited to have our new gorgeous Jacaranda delivered and installed. It's huge...will require a crane...but we know we made the right decision. Working with Ray was just plain fun, too. He has a great personality and he really knows his stuff. His professional expertise instills confidence. He is a true asset to MVN...I will repost after the tree is installed. Thanks Ray...hope to have a Mai Tai with you under the Jacaranda! read more

Although Arborist John Shipp verbally bid the tree trimming service to use a lift bucket truck, Erik and Ricardo were sent to my house with only a chipper. They toiled in the heat and humidity with alacritiy on the fruit tree in the back yard and the two Chinese Elm trees in the front of the house. They were both friendly and knowledgeable as they explained certain cuts of limbs and the shaping of the trees. Ricardo was particularly resourceful having to use a rope and harness, in lieu of the bucket, to ascend the tree for trimming. Their clean up of the limbs and debris was excellent. Good work, Erik and Ricardo. read more

I had to fortunate experience of having the opportunity to work with Marz as our sales person. He was incredibly helpful and patient and knowledgeable. He was attentive through the process and patient with me changing my mind a few times. He was always quick to respond and worked out any kinks we came across. Marz is an excellent representative for Moon Valley. He personally picked out our plants and we could not be more happy with the service we have received working with Marz. We are already planning our next phase and we will definitely be reaching out to Marz! read more

We had a huge palo verde out front with some big branches broken, and turns out it had all kinds of problems. John Shipp came out and gave us an estimate and advice on what kinds of trees to choose, and set us up. Moon Valley sent a crew out within 10 days and they removed that enormous tree plus another that had split. They were fast, courteous, on time, and left our yard cleaner than it was when they got here! When the planting crew came out, they were every bit as good. We are so happy with the size and shape of our new Tipu trees, and we were very impressed by how professional and fast the crews were. The trees are thriving. This is why we continue to do business with Moon Valley. They do quality work and they show up when they say they will. I wish I could remember the names of the crews! They were all great! read more
