I went to the Chandler location on Memorial day and was greeted by Manny right away and offered a water. Manny was very helpful and obviously enjoys his job and customers! He not only helped me decide on what new shrubs to put in my yard, but also answered questions on how to care for my current plants, including watering schedules for each season and how to trim. LP is awesome! We had one of moon valley's arborists come and check on our palm trees today and can't say enough amazing things about LP. He was so knowledgeable about the palms and the rest of our plants. He explained in detail what we were witnessing and how to get our palms back into perfect health. Stopped in to buy an orange tree. Chad Gustafson approached us right away and was very personable. He offered us waters and we headed out back. He walked us over to the citrus section and after talking a bit, we decided on a tangerine tree. We asked him to grab the best tree and he showed us that the thicker the trunk, the better. We picked the tree we wanted and he brought it to the front and rang us up. We were impressed how genuinely friendly he was and it was just a pleasant experience. We bought a package deal at the Phoenix Home and Garden show. We went to the Chandler Nursery and we're met at the gate by Manny. After a brief conversation of what we were looking for he gave us a tour of the plants we were looking for. Manny was very pleasant to talk to and extremely knowledgeable about the plants we were interested in. We will definitely be going back to the Chandler Nursery and buy more from this gentleman. Real impressed with this company. They 100% exceeded my expectations, not for the quality of the install nor the quality of the plants, but for how they handled my feedback. I responded that I was 0% happy with the entire process. The plants were smaller than I expected (ordered over phone) and the install was well below average. I simply told a rep that I wasn't happy. I expected nothing from them. I guess because they are big and busy. I expected to be blown off. Didn't happen. Got several call backs and emails responding to my issue. I was very happy they cared but I still didn't expect anything. They voluntarily made me happy. I didn't ask for anything. They made financial adjustments and offered product. The true customer service measure of a company is how they overcome mistakes. They didn't get defensive, they didn't care about who was right or wrong. They simply acted in good faith. Honorable! Outstanding service! I cannot think of anything negative to say about Bobby the tree consultant dude nor Caesar and his top notch install crew. Bobby was patient as i read out loud every word, clause of the purchase and warranty paperwork. He answered every naïve, ignorant question i had and confidently and cheerfully countered the challenging questions and/or comments i had. Same came be said of Caesar and his crew. He patiently answered every single dumb question about watering schedules, amounts, intervals, how much to water depending on the temperature, when to add moon juice. The install was performed on July 8 and even though the temperature was 859 degrees, Caesar and his crew were professional, cheerful, and performed the planting impressively. They left no trash behind - not considering the 12 trees they planted - and left the place cleaner and tidier then when they arrived. Top notch!! read more

I purchased a weed killer from moon valley after bringing in a sample of the weed I wanted to get rid of. The salesman looked at it and bought out the product he said would be effective. I applied it twice with no results ( some yellowing) the product cost $47 per quart. I attempted to return it and get a refund and was told that I had used half of it, hello how would I know it hadn't worked if I hadn't applied. They would not refund the money for the product saying that they had never not seen work. I'm out $47 and still have the weeds, there recommendations hire someone to pull them. My recommendation is to go somewhere else. read more

Ordered seven large plants which were delivered on January 29th by Esi and his crew. Very professional and helpful as his (Esi) knowledge of the plants helped me decide the best spacing along my back wall. The crew members also performed very well as the cleanup showed a pride in workmanship. I ordered two more large plants from Esi who took the time too complete the paperwork and request fast delivery. It's very difficult to find a business that actual performs as advertised. Overpriced is an understatement, also worse than a used car lot! The sales people are vultures! They make commission off your sale so they do not leave you unattended to browse the lot. I never like when someone hoovers over my back and feel the pressure. Also 2/3 of my 15 gallon fruit trees died within 1 year. I didn't get the 75$ insurance per tree either cus the dang trees were over priced to begin with 300$ a pop. Go to the nursery down the way, AP the same gal fruit trees were half their price :/ i found out too late. read more

I have had so many problems with this store with all of the turnover. No one seemed to or listen until the manager Sam Phillips came over. He bent over backwards to right a wrong. The original crew that planted our original tree were a joke. You could tell they had no pride in their work. I was about to give up on moon valley entirely then Sam steeped up again, got me a new tree, sent Cesar and his crew to plant it. They took their time, built up a nice perimeter, which was not done previously, Cesar explained everything and gave us useful tips and advice. You could tell he took pride in his job and genuinely cared about the customer. If I get another tree I will make sure Cesar and his crew are the guys planting. Thank you Sam & Cesar.
