Selection is fine, people are nice but the prices are absolutely offensive. Go to Whitfills Nursery instead and get bigger plants and way better prices. We have compared prices many times thinking Moon Valley would be competitive and they never are. For example they had tiny Myrtle shrubs in big planters for $250 each. Whitfills had triple the size plants in small $30 planters. $30!!!! And we needed 50 so imagine buying 50, $250 tiny plants at Moon Valley? It's wild. And the 50 we got at Whitfills are happy and healthy all planted. We finally stopped trying with Moon Valley. Their markups are insane of their plants and trees even with their massive price cuts, it's way more than you'd pay at Whitfills. They are all commissioned too at Moon Valley so makes sense. Never going back and we've wasted thousands over the years. read more

Luis M and his team did a great job planting 17 oleanders and an orange tree. Very respectful and hard working

Cesar and his team were outstanding! They were very efficient and respectful. Cesar is a great communicator. He didn't leave the job until all our questions were answered and therefore ensuring the success of our new tree's survival. Job will done. Far exceeded our expectations! Very satisfied with our purchase. Our entire experience with Moon Valley Nursery has been very pleasant. Bobby was great. He came to our property and helped us determine a plan of action. He took time to set up all services and everything was completed as planned. Erik and his team spent some time helping me with a tree trimming problem and the team headed by Nestor made tree removal look easy! All work was done to complete satisfaction. Thanks to all! Happy customer!! read more

Warning: Moon Valley Nurseries will not let you return an item to any other of their locations. Must return to the location you purchased it at. Very strange. What's the point of having multiple locations around the valley if you're not going to make it seamless to return something to any of the locations? In reality they operate like completely separate businesses. Just share a name. I won't be back. read more

Cesar and team went above and beyond to transform our yard! It looked so good we had them renovate additional areas with more plants . We're very happy with every aspect of their work and highly recommend them. read more

We lost a beautiful, 20 year old mesquite tree in our front yard to high winds. Going to Moon Valley Nurseries in Mesa was a no-brainer. We had purchased several plants and two trees over the years- Cesar and his crew did an excellent job moving a big giant tree into place after digging the hole and prepping the soil. The team made sure that the soil was amended as the tree staked in four corners. They finished with an application of Moon Juice supplement and mulch around the top. They cleaned up the area, leaving only our new beautiful tree! Cesar also gave detailed maintenance instructions- especially with regard to watering. Cesar and his team were on time, pleasant to work with and provided great customer service along with knowledgeable information! Heather and Keith Ware read more

We bought 3 bushes that were not doing well in the heat. We also bought the extended warrenty. I called Moon and they were able to come up with a solution and replaced all 3. Cesar and his crew came out and replaced the 3 bushes in over 110% heat. Cesar then looked at our other trees we had and gave us tips to help them grow and thrive. So thankful that we were able to replace and save our other trees. read more

We have ordered from moon three times and each time the orders got messed up. I think they are short on sales staff and are over worked. Probably just a sign of the times. However, Cesar and his delivery crew have it together and got the install done quickly along with good advice on how to care for our plants. read more

From the meeting with the sells rep, Brandon, to working with the planting manager, Cesar, and his crew, my wife, Lydia, and I are elated not only by the quality of the tress and shrubs, but by the absolutely impeccable customer service! The friendly and professional manner in which we were treated will remain in our memories for a lifetime. Brandon was skillful in getting us to make a reasonable and most effective decision whenever we arrived at a fork in the road. Cesar was accommodating, patient and supportive within the confines of his work order, which we appreciated very much. Cesar and his crew went above and beyond to make sure we were completely satisfied. Brandon was very flexible and even gave us some discounts and products that were substantive and showed his desire to keep us smiling and bonding with the customer-centered culture of Moon Valley Nurseries. LP is awesome! We had one of moon valley's arborists come and check on our palm trees today and can't say enough amazing things about LP. He was so knowledgeable about the palms and the rest of our plants. He explained in detail what we were witnessing and how to get our palms back into perfect health. He was kind, professional, prompt, and very detailed and knowledgeable. I loved his enthusiasm for his craft and job. Moon Valley is lucky to have LP as one of their arborists. read more

Cesar Jiménez, the crew foreman, was knowledgeable and courteous Te whole crew was great! For example, while. planting one of the three trees they cut an irrigation line and they quickly fixed it. They were always in a gray mood. Although Moon Valley is not my favorite nursery the crew gets a 5+ rating. read more

I went to the Chandler location on Memorial day and was greeted by Manny right away and offered a water. Manny was very helpful and obviously enjoys his job and customers! He not only helped me decide on what new shrubs to put in my yard, but also answered questions on how to care for my current plants, including watering schedules for each season and how to trim. All this as well as a hot dog as there was a BBQ event today :) Highly recommend Manny - thank you :) read more

Stopped in to buy an orange tree. Chad Gustafson approached us right away and was very personable. He offered us waters and we headed out back. He walked us over to the citrus section and after talking a bit, we decided on a tangerine tree. We asked him to grab the best tree and he showed us that the thicker the trunk, the better. We picked the tree we wanted and he brought it to the front and rang us up. We were impressed how genuinely friendly he was and it was just a pleasant experience. So glad we chose Moon Valley Nursery instead of some big box store. Thanks again Chad! read more

Real impressed with this company. They 100% exceeded my expectations, not for the quality of the install nor the quality of the plants, but for how they handled my feedback. I responded that I was 0% happy with the entire process. The plants were smaller than I expected (ordered over phone) and the install was well below average. I simply told a rep that I wasn't happy. I expected nothing from them. I guess because they are big and busy. I expected to be blown off. Didn't happen. Got several call backs and emails responding to my issue. I was very happy they cared but I still didn't expect anything. They voluntarily made me happy. I didn't ask for anything. They made financial adjustments and offered product. The true customer service measure of a company is how they overcome mistakes. They didn't get defensive, they didn't care about who was right or wrong. They simply acted in good faith. Honorable! Kudos to Stephanie at 7th street Moon Valley. She was the 'they' mentioned above. Also a shout out to Ray at 7th street for his great customer service in a followup purchase. read more

Ordered seven large plants which were delivered on January 29th by Esi and his crew. Very professional and helpful as his (Esi) knowledge of the plants helped me decide the best spacing along my back wall. The crew members also performed very well as the cleanup showed a pride in workmanship. I ordered two more large plants from Esi who took the time too complete the paperwork and request fast delivery. It's very difficult to find a business that actual performs as advertised. This crew did just that. Thank you. Robert Geraldo read more

Moon Valley Mesa has the BEST customer service in the business! We worked with GM Sam Phillips who went above and beyond to make sure we had not only the best quality plants but the design was exactly as I imagined. Foreman Cesar was the one who came out and put everything into the ground he was straightforward and had me double check all the plant placement making sure I was happy. He made Sure to go over plant maintenance and care and told me to contact him with any questions regarding plant care. We will be life long customers to Moon Valley! Chad is hands down the best person to work with here. Dealt with another person and they were all about the sale , which wasn't theirs originally. Chad is very helpful and wants to make sure his customers are happy and enjoy their plants vs trying to make money off of them . Thank you love Chad, for being the only reason I come back to Moon Valley. Other person sold us a dead tree and told us to just put more moon juice on it. read more

I purchased a weed killer from moon valley after bringing in a sample of the weed I wanted to get rid of. The salesman looked at it and bought out the product he said would be effective. I applied it twice with no results ( some yellowing) the product cost $47 per quart. I attempted to return it and get a refund and was told that I had used half of it, hello how would I know it hadn't worked if I hadn't applied. They would not refund the money for the product saying that they had never not seen work. I'm out $47 and still have the weeds, there recommendations hire someone to pull them. My recommendation is to go somewhere else. read more

I have had so many problems with this store with all of the turnover. No one seemed to or listen until the manager Sam Phillips came over. He bent over backwards to right a wrong. The original crew that planted our original tree were a joke. You could tell they had no pride in their work. I was about to give up on moon valley entirely then Sam steeped up again, got me a new tree, sent Cesar and his crew to plant it. They took their time, built up a nice perimeter, which was not done previously, Cesar explained everything and gave us useful tips and advice. You could tell he took pride in his job and genuinely cared about the customer. If I get another tree I will make sure Cesar and his crew are the guys planting. Thank you Sam & Cesar. Overpriced is an understatement, also worse than a used car lot! The sales people are vultures! They make commission off your sale so they do not leave you unattended to browse the lot. I never like when someone hoovers over my back and feel the pressure. Also 2/3 of my 15 gallon fruit trees died within 1 year. I didn't get the 75$ insurance per tree either cus the dang trees were over priced to begin with 300$ a pop. Go to the nursery down the way, AP the same gal fruit trees were half their price :/ i found out too late. read more
