Jason and the Top Leaf crew did a fantastic job of removing 3 horrible Sissoo trees whose roots had started to cause damage to things like our driveway and pipes. They got this part of the job done and ground down the stumps while also drilling holes (and placing a product to help the roots die) to prevent them from sending out bazillions of baby trees which they still sent out some and we dealt with them as instructed. Sissoos are resilient as all get out and didn't want to go down without a fight. Because of this we had to wait a bit to plant our new trees, beautiful Red Push Pistaches as suggested by Jason. His quote process was easy and the price we paid was below some other quotes we'd received, but fair considering all the work they would be doing. When the team came back out to plant our 5 new trees (3 in the back and 2 in the front), they removed the now dead stumps and the little cute trees were planted quickly and efficiently. The crew cleaned up everything, and both our front and backyards looked great! It's been almost 4 years now since they removed the old invasive ones and planted our new trees and they are thriving. Jason had great suggestions for which trees would do well, weren't messy all year, whose roots wouldn't be destructive, would do well in our hot dry climate, and look beautiful pretty much year round. As they continue to grow, they remind me of gorgeous park trees that I love. Also great is that they don't require a lot of care! Top Leaf Tree Service sent out two tree cutters one could NOT speak or understand English & the other did exactly the opposite of the instructions WRITTEN IN THEIR OWN CONTRACT & also the walk through & detailed verbal instructions which were given to him before they started trimming! So instead of just trimming the foliage on the exterior of the ficus trees as per their contract & verbal instructions to continue the HEDGE of foliage the trees already formed for 30 years. He climbed into the dense center of each of trees & cut as many MAIN BRANCHES as he could with his chainsaw which removed the ficus tree's DENSE FOLIAGE! Now the PRIVACY HEDGE of Foliage those 4 Ficus trees already had formed which was the only reason they were planted by the border walls between by neighbors is gone & can not be grown back because he cut their main branches. I now have to hire another Tree company to treat these infected ficus trees because they apparently didn't CLEAN & SANITIZE their tools before cutting my trees & their cuts aren't even done according to National Tree Cutters standards. read more

Grateful for Top leaf I have needed to have 2 massive trees removed from next to my house for 6 years. Fast forward to last month and I finally started calling tree company's. Right from the start Top leaf was professional showed up when they said they would, and I felt right away they were a reputable company. So grateful I went with them. They were ready to do the work the next day but they let me schedule a month out so I would be home and awake when it happened. I expected a huge crew as we are talking 55 plus foot trees and 2 of the nicest men showed up 30 min early and said they were the crew. This was enough and boy were they. This guy could diaper a baby with that chain saw. Even though I'm in a cul-de-sac and my tree was wedged between my house and all the neighbors fences, they carefully dropped branches and cut the tree out in 2 foot sections. My roof, house, water lines unscathed. Did not lose a branch my neighbors fences all perfect. I have never seen or expected that kind of skill. I called 1-27-25 at 9:43 to schedule an appointment for an estimate. I had to leave a voice mail. Cathy called me back at 10:03 so it started off well. Cathy was polite and stated the estimator should call me back within a day or two. She said if he does not call to call her back and she would find out why. That struck me as odd since she just, basically, told me the estimator, Jason, can be unreliable. I got an email on 1-29-25 at 7:09 P.M. from Jason. In part it stated," I drove by earlier today and was able to see them over the fence. " I live in a two story house so the view of the trees is very obstructed. You can see about half of each tree from either side of the house from the street. There is no way he could have gotten a complete view of the trees. He never did call me either. The email included an estimate of 700.00 to trim the two trees. I had a competitor also provide an estimate. I was able to make an appointment immediately. The owner came the next day to provide an estimate. He went into the back yard, with me, and looked at the trees up close. The owner gave me a 500.00 quote. The competitor had 102 reviews and not one was less than a 5. Needless to say I will not be using Top Leaf to trim my trees. I wouldn't use them to pick weeds in the yard. read more

Within a short time we talked, he reviewed my account and sent me a proposal which I accepted. I was very pleased to find that he kept the price the same from 2020. Let me preface by saying we live in Gold Canyon, 20 miles from the Top Leaf Tree office. I called for a quote to trim and shape two young Queen Palo Verde trees. These are only three year old, and had never been trimmed. One was in full blossom, the other not. I told our neighbor that Top Tree was come to do our trees and he asked if they could remove his 35ft tall Shoestring Acacia l and do some pruning in his backyard. I made the arrangements for both jobs to be done at the same time. I called and there was message saying they would return my call, My call was returned and I scheduled and appointment to have the arborist come to give me a quote. He arrived on the scheduled time and assessed the trees. He said that there was minimum dollar amount per tree plus a travel charge for coming to Gold Canyon. He assessed my neighbors tree and quoted it. The crew arrived on time and had the jobs done quickly. The crew are artists and took the time to evaluate their work as they were working. Both my neighbor and I appreciate their attention to detail. Though I felt the charge for trimming my young trees was high and the travel charge excessive, I wanted the work done by professional abortionists. Top Leaf responded right away to my inquiry and Brandon stopped by the next day to evaluate and give me a quote. They were willing to uphold their quote until after the holidays as well when it would fit my budget and schedule! DO NOT HIRE THESE RUDE UNPROFESSIONAL MORONS. After paying a couple grand, they did the WORST job I have ever seen. It's not rocket science to cut a tree but these morons made it seem like it was. After arguing on the phone with Jason, they literally only cut half of the trees (just the front and cut them WAY too short and left the back half hanging over my fence which is the WHY I called them???) then they left half the cuttings all over my yard and in my neighbors yard and all over the back. We moved from Midwest to Chandler AZ and had a lot to learn about maintaining a healthy landscape and garden. We were fortunate to have someone recommend Top Leaf to us. They are certified Arborists and that IS a big deal in this space. They responded quickly and gave us a reasonable estimate.
