Dan came by this afternoon. We spent an hour discussing my orange trees problem. Dan was very good at helping me understand what was wrong and what was right about my two trees. I am on my way to healthy orange trees Thank you Dan read more

We have used Valley Tree Masters every time we need our Palo Verde trimmed as well as for removal of a tree. The pricing is always the best. They are professional and the clean up is great. It's as if they were never there. They even ground down the stump. I will use them again and highly recommend them. read more

Dan the owner just left and did a fantastic job. What I appreciated just as much was how well he cleaned up. Also his Rep Joe that came out to give me a quote was great; no pressure selling, explained things well and was very patient answering my questions. read more

Amazing and professional company. Removed several of our trees in the Chandler area and we are thrilled with the results. Very fair pricing.

We have been using them for about two years. We have the trees fertilized and trimmed every six months. The results have been amazing! Our trees look so healthy! Pricing is very appropriate with the work done and we are very happy with the results! read more

Guys were on time! The work was fantastic. Giant tree removed in a timely fashion. The guys were great.

Showed up on time and completed job in a timely manner. We have very tall trees that need trimming every year or so. We have used Valley Tree Masters for the past several years and have been happy with their customer service as well. read more

The process of getting an estimate went smoothly and Joe provided a very competitive price. Dan trimmed the trees thoroughly and requested feedback from me as he worked. Dan did a great job of removing debris at the end of the job and cleaning up the yard. Would have given 5 stars but there were some issues with scheduling and arrival time that could be improved. read more

Did a great job removing tree in front yard. Great service. Friendly staff. quick and efficient

great work profession service would highly recommend / came out same day to remove a catus that had fallen / Great price Professional fast and made the process easy read more

I've used this company for 5 years and you actually see the same people more than once. We have them trim our palo verde, acacia, mesquite trees and sometimes our oleander trees. They do a great job, listen to what we want and take or chip all the debris. They are very reasonable in price. They prune, not "hack". read more

Initial visit for estimate came with two people from Valley tree Masters. My wife and I discussed trimming to a Jacaranda tree in the front courtyard and a Palo Verde in the backyard. We were very detailed what we were looking for and what we needed done. Joe, individual giving us The estimate did not give us any indication that what we wanted could not be done and an estimate was given.. We arranged a day for the work to be done and when the guy showed up to do the trimming the individual doing the trimming explained that he cannot do the work as we wanted because it could kill our Jacaranda. There appears to be a serious disconnect in communication between the estimator and the actual individual doing the work. I personally would not use this company again for that reason and that reason alone. I paid the bill as agreed and I will seek out another company to do our annual trimmings moving forward. read more

I had several overgrown, messy bottle trees that I needed removed. The trees were close to a wall and other improvements that made it a little tricky to do without causing damage. I got several estimates, and Valley Tree Masters came in among the lowest and highly recommended by a neighbor. They were responsive and did an amazing job taking out my trees and cleaning up the mess! Joe and his crew were great to work with and, when I have another tree to trim our take out, Valley Tree will be my first call. read more

Hello!! I will be recommending scottsdale tree trimmers to everyone I know for years to come. They did an amazing job from cutting down 4 trees for me and cleaning up all of the debri that came with it. Highly recommend. I also had an inspector come out quickly. He was able to his crew out within a week. Thank you!!!!!! read more

Great experience with this business. They were first selected to remove a Palo Verde tree as I am getting solar panels. I asked about vitex bushes and last weekend Dan Riggs worked for several hrs putting them in. So pleased with the results and see what a difference these new shrubs are going to make in my backyard. Dan and his partner Joe are terrific to work with and I absolutely will continue to hire them when needed. Definitely a top notch firm and high quality results. Thanks to both of you for your hard work! Dan Fowlkes North Scottsdale read more

I hired Valley Tree Masters to trim and thin out apx 20 trees on my one acre lot I think heart of Scottsdale. The crews came out and did a GREAT job. When they left, the property was actually cleaner then when they started. I was so pleased with their work I immediately hired them to do another property in Chandler. I have no doubt it will turn out great. Both Joe (the estimator) and Jim (the crew leader), are knowledgeable, courteous, friendly and both were on time. The crews them self were equally as friendly and pleasing. ALL traits you don't find too often in todays world. Thanks guys. I'll see you in April. read more

The guys were able to come out the next business day to give a quote on removing one tree and trimming another, which was lower than other places we had looked. We were able to schedule for the next day! Couldn't believe how fast the whole process was. Edit: our lemon tree was planted annoyingly close to the fence so trimmed pieces naturally fall in the neighbor's yard. The guys not only cleaned up our yard but the neighbor's yard as well! read more

I was happy with the service. We have a HUGE tree in our backyard and I had previously scheduled with two companies that were no show's...as my scheduled date approached I wondered if this company would show and they did! They arrived early and the 4 gentlemen that showed up were professional and communicated with me constantly while they were doing the work. I was happy with the price, as well as the work. They even brought me out after they were done to ensure that I was satisfied. I will be using them again in the near future! Chris, David and Jason are the gentlemen that completed the work. Great job. Fast on time and professional. Really took care in my palms and I appreciate it. Also very informative! Will rehire!

They do things differently and that's good! They sent the person who is actually doing the work (not a sales rep) to give me a quote, followed up later and negotiated an agreed upon price. Then scheduled to trim my trees within a week. I will definitely use them again. read more

We just had a great experience with Valley Tree Masters removing a 50ft Elm Tree, a 25ft Cactus and another good sized palm tree. They gave us a fair priced quote last week, scheduled for this morning. They arrived early, started prepping and going at it! They did a good job for a really good price trimming a very large neglected Mesquite tree. They listened carefully and made sure they understood a specific request that I had for one part of the tree, and trimmed that part as requested. And everyone was friendly and easy to work with. read more

This company actually deserves ZERO stars for not showing up or not showing up on time! I looked for a tree service to trim two large trees on my property. I called Valley Tree Masters and Joseph came to give me an estimate. So far so good. We agreed on their crew coming out a few days later and I stayed home from work to accommodate their time frame. Well, the agreed upon time came and went and no crew showed up. Upon inquiry, Joseph was as clueless as me, he did apologize and we agreed upon a different morning. Again, I stayed home from work, only to get a text that their crew is running a little bit later than agreed upon. I still accepted it. However, when I got yet another text, that they are now going to be even later than initially projected, I had enough. Please schedule your appointments so that you can keep them from the get go! read more

These guys certainly know what they are doing! They come in with a group of 8 and knocked out my 7 trees in half a day! I had three palms skinned and trimmed as well as 2 big mesquite trees, a Eucalyptus and a queen palm. The trees all look great! The guys were all professional and cleaned up well before leaving my property. Valley Tree Masters are the guys to call for your trees. Great pricing and super efficient workers. read more

***WARNING WARNING*** Very disappointed in this tree service company. They scam people out of their money. Their employees breaks things while working, and when the owner Dan Riggs or his business partner Susan Paxton, say he will be there to fix things, they always reschedules or doesn't even call. Don't use this tree service. I'm out a lot of money for a crappy job done. I won't be using them for any of my future projects. Word has it, that Dan paid friends and family to leave them 5 star reviews. If he had a good business, why pay for reviews? read more

The team at valley tree master we're affordable and friendly. They made quick work of the two tree and additional stump and cleaned up like they were never there. Will definitely be using them for all my tree needs read more

Get what you pay for ? "Valley Tree Masters"? The Good: great price, and a lot of work done. Unfortunately, the good work in the trees is marred by poor management and procedures. First, the printed description which accompanied our estimate says the first meeting will be with the company's Owner - this did not happen. Second, They showed up very late in the morning scheduled, and only after multiple calls did we get some idea when to expect them. Third, due to the late start they could not finish that Friday, and promised to come back Saturday morning - that did not happen, again with no notice, causing us to rearrange multiple schedules. They damaged lower tree limbs by dropping upper limbs on them, leaving branches obstructing street traffic. For the next three weeks whenever the wind came up we had a branch that they had cut fall out of the trees. They left tools on the ground and piled of debris in the street - totally unprofessional. Fourth, they moved 4 heavy urns to put the out of harms way from falling branches- but never moved them back. Lastly, beware of their ratings - they pay for reviews. This alone subtracts a Star. Their website and brochure is well written - advertising just what you want to hear. They claim "an A rating from the Better Business Bureau". I could not find a company with the name "Valley Tree Masters", but found matching the phone number and owner's name and saw a "B-" rating for "American Tree Masters, LLC". The Arizona Corporation Commission lists the business as: "Inactive. Reason for Status: Administrative Dissolution - No Valid Known Place of Business Address. Status Date: 9/9/2015" All this calls into question their claim to "$2 Million liability and worker's compensation insurance policies". Perhaps you like together a copy of their certificate of insurance, before hiring them. All of the above is essentially the result of very poor management and lack of attention to detail, and probably by simply being rushed from job to job. These are fixable problems, so if you run into these same issues - then they just don't care. read more

We hired Valley Tree Masters last week to remove a dying saguaro cactus from our property. The awesome and knowledgeable crew of five men arrived two days later, exactly on time, and did a fabulous job; fast, efficient, friendly, and cleaned up the debris exactly as one would expect. I received a quote from them last week that was fair. I needed trees trimmed in the front and backyard. They scheduled to come on a Wednesday, but called that day and said their truck broke down. They promised to be at my house the next day, but in the late afternoon they called and said they couldn't make it again. They then said they might be able to schedule me for the next day. I declined, two days in a row shows they are unreliable. read more

I have mixed feeling about this company. One guy was a complete asshole who actually refused to do the job correctly. Another guy went back and did the job as he was asked which saved me from having to hire a lawyer. So I was grateful for that. Then he asked me out on a date which I thought was pretty unprofessional. I had to haul all the branches out of my yard by myself and I ended up hurting my back and neck. The first guy claimed it was only "a few leaves". I'm enclosing pictures of what he was referring to and how I had do finish the job myself. read more

We had an appointment with this company between 4-6 pm last Thurs. No show, no call. Took time off work to wait for them and no one bothered to even call us to say they wouldn't come. Don't care about their customers if they're not even willing to show up for an estimate! read more

They trimmed my palo verde tree, and It looks great now. It was so ugly before. I did not pay this company for their services, but my experience makes me glad I did not. I responded to an ad for free woodchips. Wanting them for mulch for my garden, I was excited about the prospect of getting some for free. Via email, I was told I would get a call "by the end of the week" to gather info. A week went by, no call, so I email again. I received an apology and was told that I would get a call soon. I did get a call, but missed it, so I called back. After ringing about 20 times, the phone finally answered and I get told I'm talking to the answering service who has no idea what I'm talking about. But in the next day or so, I receive another call that I managed to answer. We go over my address and whether the amount of woodchips would be fine and where they should be placed. The lady asks whether I need them by a certain date. "Anytime in March will be fine." I tell her. I got confirmation that I'd get chips in March. She says that they may or may not call before dropping off the chips, which I say is fine. March goes by. Nothing. Then over a month later, in April, I get a call and voicemail from Dan out of the blue asking if I still want woodchips They have a load ready that day. Yes!!! So I called back (supposedly on his direct number) literally within 2 minutes of getting this call. Again, the phone rings forever and the answering service picks up (so much for direct number). I leave my name, number, and that it's about the woodchips. They'll send out the message ASAP, I'm told. So I wait excitedly. The day ended with no further call, no wood chips, and much disappointment. I can't get over how unprofessional the whole setup seems. If this is how they treat people who are doing favors for them (it would cost them a lot to leave their debris at the dump), how do they treat paying customers? Again, I don't mind waiting for a free product, but trying to get in touch with the appropriate person is a nightmare. read more

Wow. If I'd read the other reviews, I probably wouldn't have hired. My experience was this: Dan answers his phone. Other companies did not. I told him I was in a hurry and he came to give the estimate within the time I needed. I asked if he would be out or a crew and he said the crew would come back without him. The crew completed the work when promised. He did not require payment until I inspected and then allowed me to send a check as I was not on site immediately after the work. The tree was beautifully trimmed, just as he described it would be. The yard was cleaned up. There were some tiny leaves (mesquite) in the rocks, but nothing unrealistic. I can't speak to the insured part. I did not check his claims. I was in a hurry, but should have requested proof of insurance. I would hire again. read more

It appears that American Tree Masters is now Valley tree Masters or Valley tree Pros. My property was done by a new crew that the owner had hired as they rapidly expanded their company. The quality was inexcusable e horrible I have very expensive damage to the entire landscape of my backyard trees in a very expensive home in Scottsdale. I called and they assured me that they would come by and at least fix the lighting that they smashed. Nobody has returned my call so if American Tree Masters is now disguising themselves under a new name all I can say is run run run. Do not use this company read more
