The clear foundation polish was so thick it leaked and dried on my skin. Going to bet that nail cracks or breaks first.

My husband purchased a GC for me from Moon Nails over the Christmas holiday and I decided to use it the week of Valentines to get something fun. I made an appointment for 3:45 yesterday. When I got there, the owner kindly greeted me and had me sit down to pick out gel colors. I showed her a picture I found on Pinterest of nails (attached) and asked if they could do that. Yep, no problem. 20 minutes later, past my appointment time, I was finally getting my nails done. I believe the techs name was Thuy or close to that. I tried to make nice comments and conversation, but my tech wasn't interested in any small talk. Ok, fine. I also showed get the picture of what I wanted. While cutting my cuticles, she made me bleed. Awesome. And whatever she sprinkled on it made it sting. I told her no problem. As she got towards the end, she attempted to draw the hearts on the white nails with the pink polish, but said it wouldn't work. She seemed frustrated and showed me the colors I could choose from....none of which were close to the color pink on my other nails. Ok let's try black. Ick. Let's try the purple. Not a fan, but she was clearly irritated. The hearts she drew were very child-like. I'm actually a bit embarrassed by them. Overall, the nail she made bleed has a poor paint job, and the design was terrible, her table side manner was terrible, and again, I waited 20 minutes past my scheduled time. Then she tells me the fee is $35. Ok. I didn't question it and gave her a $7 tip. What made me more angry however is when looking at the price sheet after the fact, I see she had the nerve to charge me $5 for the grade school hearts. This morning I noticed the clear polish was painted on my pinky nail so poorly it dried on the side of my skin. Guessing that nail won't last. Ughhh!! The only positive was the owner as she greeted me and thanked me for coming. Don't waste your time here.

My acrylics did not match the picture I wanted and I had asked him to fix it but we just couldn't get there, and my nails also too so long that he was working on my acrylics for so long that the other person getting their nails done had already moved on to her toes, and was over half way done. To end at the same time as the other person getting their nails done, for skipped the foot massage that I had paid for. Also there is no air conditioning and we were sweating the whole time. Would not recommend.

I got a standard gel pedi with a simple flower design. After a bit, I could tell I was in trouble with my technician. She kept trying to fix the nail over and over. The picture shows what I ended up with. They waived the charge for the design, but once I got home and looked closer (had to get my glasses), I could really see what I was left with. $60 and a $15 tip, and my nails aren't fully covered, and now I'm stuck with this design. I called and left a voicemail but got no response. So now I need to find a new nail spa to get this all redone. It really sucks because I loved going there. FYI, Ben is awesome, but I couldn't wait to see him.

I've been coming to Lumi Nail Lounge for quite some time for manicures, pedicures, and more…read morerecently, acrylic nails and fills. Unfortunately, my last several experiences have been disappointing. Almost every time I schedule an appointment, I end up waiting 10-15 minutes past my scheduled time because they're so busy accommodating walk-ins. I completely understand that salons get busy, but what's the point of making an appointment if it isn't respected? Once I finally get in the chair, the service feels rushed, and the quality of my nails has definitely suffered. My most recent visit was especially frustrating. I went in for a fill but was told I needed an entirely new set. My acrylics hadn't been on that long and seemed perfectly fine to me, but I trusted the professional's recommendation. What wasn't explained beforehand was that I would be charged separately for the removal AND the new full set. To make matters worse, the polish looks terrible. It's lumpy, has what appears to be air bubbles, and is so poorly cured that I can actually push the polish around on top of my nails. For a service that cost over $70 before tip, I expect much better quality. I really wanted to continue supporting Lumi because I've been a loyal customer, but it's becoming increasingly difficult to justify the prices when the quality and overall experience continue to decline. It feels like they're prioritizing getting as many customers through the door as possible rather than taking care of the ones who have made appointments. Unfortunately, I think it's time to start looking for a new nail salon.
