I had bought a coupon here and I had figured I'd come here to use the coupon, but then that'd be it, I'd find somewhere closer to home for a regular place to go. Angel was so great though, I'll be going back when my hair needs trimming again in a few months. She took the time to look through pictures with me and talked about what I did with my hair and what I wanted to be able to do with my hair to help me decide how to change it. I never felt pushed or rushed to make a certain decision. And when it came up that I didn't know how to curl my hair, she insisted on teaching me. It's been over two years since we tried to book 2 pedicure appointments, using our gift cards. My adult daughter and I were given gift cards totaling $135. Imagine our surprise when we found out this so called, "spa" doesn't do pedicures for new clients. We've been hopefully waiting for them to hire a new pedicurist, but the girl answering the phone today said it was doubtful they'd be doing that. Two years ago, we asked for a refund for our gift cards. They won't do that. Get this: This is a "spa" that doesn't do pedicures. It doesn't do facials. It doesn't do massages. Calling Revive a salon and spa, is like calling a restaurant without food - a "restaurant". Oh - what do they do? They do hair (we have our preferred hair stylists) and they do make up and waxing. Definitely not interested in that. They won't refund the money ($135.). It's time Revive changes their name or at least lets people know they aren't a traditional spa. So disappointed in the misrepresentation and the fact that they won't refund us. read more

I have had nothing but poor experiences with Jen Crane since coming to this salon. It started with a 3 pack of blowouts I purchased. Jen has very limited availability and I had a hard time scheduling with her. When I had to reschedule she later rescheduled an appointment I had, saying she would be out of town and talking badly about the Salon's receptionist. When I called to confirm an appointment, and it wasn't on the books she literally told me, she had been pissed that I had rescheduled appointments on her and that was why she has moved mine, it was never because she was out of town or anything! Additionally I had purchased a Groupon for a keratin treatment she has recommended. She redeemed it with no intention of scheduling it and didn't schedule it until I asked about it and then added additional fees after the fact! I refuse to come back for the 3rd blowout, I have never experienced such poor social skills from a stylist and her lack of availability isn't the customers issues. Additionally redeeming services without having rendered them and no intention of scheduling them is fraudulent. This salon should select better stylists. Very disappointed. read more

The gal who did the mani/pedi was very nice and it was a nice experience but I think my manicure should last longer than 48 hours. But even as I walked out, I looked like I needed a touch up on the polish... it should have been a bit closer to the cuticle. I've also never had anyone "yank" on my cuticles with the nippers. Judging from other reviews, I bet it all depends on who you get on whether you get a manicure like mine - I'll have to post a pic, or one that lasts. read more

Worst facial I have ever had, I am an esthetician myself. Emily was horrible. It was supposed to be an hour and only lasted 40 mins. She cleansed my face once which is supposed to be twice. Took forever to come into the room after I got into the bed. She used no steam, hardly any exfoliation, no massage, mask, and did not focus on the problems that I asked her to. She made me wait 15 mins then blamed me for being late when I waited for her to come start my service. There was no paperwork involved. She did not ask if I was allergic to anything or if I had been in the sun recently which could all cause problems in my skin. Very unprofessional and talked the entire time when I was trying to relax. Will NOT go back again for anything. Total waste of money. Do NOT go there. read more

I went to Revive for my first massage...ever! How I made it to 32 without ever having a massage is crazy to me. Anyway, I had an hour long session with Nicole, and it was AMAZING. Seriously, if i could afford it, I would have one every week. Since I was a newbie, I just asked for a standard message with some extra time spent on my shoulders and lower back. Nicole did exactly as I asked. She wasn't chatty either, which I totally appreciated. The only thing that could've been a bit better was she gave me a bit too long to get undressed before she came back in to start the massage. read more

Terrible service!! Booked a facial and arrived 10 minutes early and was invited to wait in the spa lounge. One minute before my appointment, the receptionist came in and told me there had been a scheduling error and the service provider was actually off for the day. She said no other services, like a massage, were available. This was their error and cost me valuable time. Instead of offering a complimentary service, she asked when I'd like to reschedule. This is a huge failure for an establishment that depends on good service and customer satisfaction. BEWARE of making an appointment with this place. I did receive a follow-up email from the owner, but it was a defense, not an apology. (Yelp made me select at least one star.) read more

I was in need of a new stylist after the stylist I had for the past decade moved out of state last summer. I found Revive and made an appointment for a haircut and overall color. The first appointment went fine, although it took forever for the stylist to get these two services done. After that time, it has been hit or miss. The nature of the salon (independent contractors) doesn't work with my schedule well with regard to consistency in stylists. I have had incorrect scheduling happen (I waited over 20 minutes only to be told that they did not have enough time for both of the services I needed), less than mediocre work done and the inability to schedule at all. I have given up on this salon and have moved on to a more accommodating one. The prices are high, also. read more

This review pertains to Gretchen Johnson who provides (when she wants) facial services at Revive Salon and Spa. I purchased a Groupon for a Pumpkin-peel facial with microdermabrasion service with Gretchen Johnson. The promotional value expired on 7/3/14. On 6/17/14 I made my first call to schedule my facial. At that time I was advised that Gretchen had NO APPOINTMENTS available prior to 7/3. I left a message with the receptionist requesting Gretchen to contact me to arrange this service. I did not hear back from her. On 6/19 I called and spoke to Gretchen. She advised she was with a client, would check her books and call me back. Again I never heard from her. On 6/23 I called and left another message for Gretchen, asking for a call back or confirmation that she would extend the time frame since it was she that had no availability to schedule a service that she sold. Again no call back. On 7/3 I called and asked to speak to the manager Lisa. I was told Lisa would be in shortly. Again no call back. Today 7/7, I called and spoke with Lisa who advised Gretchen rents space from her so she (Lisa) doesn't have any control over what Gretchen does. After making five phone calls to try to get the facial I purchase scheduled, I was forced to contact Groupon, who thankfully stands behind their name. I was offered the choice of them trying to rectify the situation with Gretchen or them refunding my money. Since I have no faith in Gretchen or her services at this point, I requested a refund. I also requested Groupon log my complaint should Gretchen try to offer services through them again. Gretchen...I am sure you'll be reading this because I will be calling the salon to advise the negative review I have left on you. I would suggest you not sell such a large amount of Groupons if you have no intention of providing the service that was sold. Bad reviews and word of mouth go much further than good. With customer service like this, I doubt you'll be in business for long! read more

I have thick, curly fine hair which all women say they want but they really don't. I am also a brunette with gray and I pull red no matter what. I usually end up looking like a calico and spend 4-5 hours in a salon. I wanted to give Revive a chance. I not only got a stylist who understood, got it right on the first try and let me style it so I could walk out looking the way I wanted (most try to straighten my hair) she also wrote down the colors she mixes and used in case I couldn't get her again! I had my first appointment at Revive last week. I saw Megan for the first time and she was friendly. I have long hair & wanted a trim & my layers reshaped. Unfortunately, she took off about 5-7 inches and cut my hair unevenly & it looks pretty bad. She cut it shorter in the back & longer in the front and it's longer on the right side than the left. It doesn't style well and that my hair is too long for a bob cut. It's the worst cut I've ever had and now I am going to a nice salon to have it fixed. I wouldn't go here - all the stylists are independent contractors, so there is no accountability for poor service or cuts, you are s.o.l. if it goes wrong. read more
