customer service very poor to non existent. after receiving the delay notification for my special…read moreorder and patiently waiting three days for an update, i finally called the spokane valley lowes for some info. spoke to leslie and then matthew asking for a new estimated delivery date i received no call back, or apology, from either of them. finally get word that the delivery is ready to pick up only to get to the store and see that the package was damaged. again, not even a feigned apology from staff or supposed managers steve or john. i worked in customer service for a construction trade for seven years and you better believe i apologized to customers for a bunch of stuff i wasn't responsible for. because that"s what customer service is. "sir, i understand how frustrating this must be and i do apologize." that wouldn't have cost them anything, but instead i'll never spend another dime at any lowes store in the future.

I called to verify they are in stock before driving 2 hours each way. I Immediately asked for someone who knows their roofing screws. A man who doesn't know them insisted on helping. After several minutes of being told they don't make what I want, I was then told they don't even carry roofing screws. They do. I decided to buy for my house and shops from somewhere else. He became rude and refused to give me anyone else. Make your own choice. My roofer friend was certainly correct. Please train your employees on the products and at a bare minimum be polite and willing to transfer a phone call and be willing to verify stock to save someone 4 hours of driving. This was obviously a case of being too lazy just to go check what you actually have. That is terrible service especially when I tell them I'm driving two hours each way and I don't want to come home empty-handed just to have to make the drive again.

Supporting local is important. They have a wide selection of items, from household to gardening to outdoor gear and everything in between. Pricing is reasonable and someone is always available to help if you have any questions. They also have a great rewards program! I'll be headed here for my next painting project. After searching several stores without success, I finally discovered what I was looking for at Ruggiero's ACE Hardware on Spokane South Hill. Upon my arrival, Amy, the sales associate at Ruttiero's, assisted me in searching for decorations. Although we weren't able to locate an in-store decoration, Amy went above and beyond by checking online inventory. Her resourcefulness paid off--she placed an order for a patriotic Lantern Solar Balloon, ensuring I would have exactly what I wanted before 4th of July. I also ended up buying something completely different... paint supplies..that day. On June 26, 2026, I went back to Ruttiero's and was greeted by a smiling Amy, as previously to complete the purchase of the patriotic Lantern Solar Balloon. The decoration turned out to be ideal for the 4th of July celebration, so I decided to purchase three of them. Amy shared my enthusiasm and was genuinely delighted with my choice.
