I was looking at a clearance LG washing machine (as is) with the yellow tag attached. On that tag, the box -repaired- was checked but no indication of what needed repaired. I asked the associate for history, but he knew nothing. Two delivery men told me that it was the feet on the machine. I asked all the right questions. Thinking that I had a sound machine, I did take it home later that day,m. The next day, we ran a full cycle for testing. This is when the fear started, and we felt safer standing in the hallway. The machine was extremely loud and spun at an amazing speed with decibels volume 107, which can cause hearing loss. We pulled it out, and there was bearing dust on the floor, which confirmed that the bearings were gone. This is a very costly repair and you're better off buying a new machine. They had a $600 tag on this machine.    Brought it back to the store and was told  "no refund" a number of times by the associate & manager . After showing them loud videos & pictures for evidence of what they tried to sell us,we did obtain a refund.  Lowes employee did not run a full cycle to ensure a sound & safe machine prior to resale, and the manager should oversee this. Quality control, mainly with their employees, has lowered in the last 5 years.    There were no apologies but instead received a combative attitude from the manager. read more

Vicky, who was attentive and knowledgeable made this a seamless experience.She sold us a dishwasher and we walked away happy. Eric, in the gardening department was personable, he loaded our heavy bags into our car. He suggested that I bring my car around next time and someone would help me in the loading area. Today, as I paid first and was told to go to loading, no one showed up for a good fifteen minutes. I asked for assistance, as there were many people working in this part of the store. I bought an airpump (high priced one,.Kobalt brand.which is their.brand) the part where you plug into the cigarette port in your car broke immediately but I didn't have a chance to take it back for awhile. Since when did employees become more important than customers? The majority of my work experience has been in customer service and what my husband and I experienced would never happen to my customer(s). We we were in your store looking for pegboard. There were two employees in the same aisle loading a wood cart. As my husband and I continued down the aisle, these two employees started to move the wood cart as well, but there wasn't room for all of us to get through because the aisle was plugged up with carts of cardboard, blocking half aisle of it. These two employees did not stop or even slow down. They never said a word to us. I am on crutches so my husband was a few steps ahead of me. Had he not moved, he would have gotten hurt. And, being on crutches and made to wait for these employees to get through was beyond disrespectful and most definitely not even in the realm of customer service. If this is how your employees are trained, we will be shopping online. When events such as ours happen to other customers, you will be driving them away as well. Then, let's see how important the customer is (hint ... start getting your resume updated) because no one wants to be treated this way by employees and stores need to realize you are not the only ones in town and with the internet, who needs a brick and mortar store anyway? read more

So, Lowe's has a wide selection of projects for the handyman and/or professional home improvement/repair type person. Sadly, not all the products are the best quality. And sometimes the price is outrageous. Often, you only have one choice for the brand of thing you are looking for, and it may not be a brand you actually want. The store is also kind of hard to navigate as the way they arrange their departments doesn't always make sense. Some employees are helpful, some, not so much. I will say the store is usually very clean and kept up so they have that going for them. So, this location is worth a try but you may end up leaving empty handed if you are looking for something out of the ordinary. Or they may have it but it is hard to find, and you can't find an employee who might know one way or the other. read more

We have remodeled our winter home shopping exclusively at Lowe's in Arizona with absolutely wonderful Customer Service!...Imagine my disappointment in shopping at this store and the Store on Sprague in the Spokane Valley! Window blinds should not be this difficult to purchase! First, The store on Sprague the Levolor blind cutter is "under repair" for at least 30 days as I have been there three weeks in a row to get blinds! So each day I then drove to this Store Location.... And for every three weeks their stock on the shelves were depleted in several sizes! So I finally found someone to asked "when are you ordering Levelor Blinds?" And was told they would be in Friday! Great! I'm here, select the size; low and behold was told "There is no one in the Store that is Certified to cut your Blinds!!!" Are you kidding me? The main reason I give Lowe's 4 stars, is because of their customer service, product knowledge, product availability, and proper staffing. I'm not bragging, but we have spent about 14k in the last 2 months... And we do this full time... So we know which stores to avoid, which to hone in on.... etc... Our favorite Lowe's? In the valley on Broadway. Our least favorite lowes? On sprague.... We have waited for paint assistance over 30 minutes, on more than one occasion. We literally drive to the Broadway location over half the time, just for the experience (and this is 20 minutes further from our house). Terrible. I do not recommend Lowes whatsoever. I bought a washer and dryer. It was scheduled for delivery to occur on 9/21. I come home on 9/20 to a sign on my door knob saying it was delivered that day. They were a whole day off. I call Lowes and ask to reschedule the appointment. I dont understand why they are a day early. But I do understand that error happens so it's fine; I'll survive. I am told that the delivery will come out on 9/21 and that I will get a call the evening before to give me a window. Well. It's now after 8pm the day before the delivery and I don't have a window for delivery. I call Lowes again. The associates that make the call to schedule that appointment have left for the day and I still dont have a window for delivery. TERRIBLE!!! I have been on hold for over 20mins now waiting to speak with someone in charge. I dont recommend them. They really dont care about their customers! read more

Our family has had the absolute worst experience trying to purchase a refrigerator from this Lowe's location. They have cancelled three deliveries on us, continually blaming it on their third party delivery service, yet can never seem to prioritize us for the next delivery day. This means that we have been without a working refrigerator for two weeks. When we try to contact Lowe's to speak to customer service, they either fail to answer or hang up on us. When we do get through, they bounce us around and no one helps. Finally, the delivery guy came to our house and then refused to drive down our driveway because he was unhappy with branches he said were in the way. He was incredibly rude and left without delivering the refrigerator. This has been a terrible nightmare, and I will never purchase an appliance from Lowe's again. read more

Place is great unless you work there. Managers seem to disappear when you need them. Managers seem to be forgetful or just abusive. Using the overhead intercom does not help to find them, keeps customer waiting for over 20 minutes while they wait for an ok on a price change. Forget trying to buy something with a purchase ticket, cashiers don't have cabinet key to get the product they purchased. Customers are great but there are a select few that give you a hard time and make your job miserable. I suggest that you have a psychology background to work any cashier job these days because the managers stop caring to help their cashiers. read more

Customer Service fail. We had our home measured for carpet, and were contacted to come in to sign the contract. When we went in, there were 6 customers in floor covering and no employees. ( Monday mid day) After about 10 min we went to the adjacent departments and asked employees for assistance. Their response, first said not my department and second said service? good luck with that. When someone finally got there, they had no idea how to read our estimate. Unfortunately, that seems to be normal for them now. Bottom line for Lowes, we will not be placing our order with them. About $150.00, cheez, that stuff's gotten expensive. To put up behind the pegboard I bought at the same time. So, laziness and procrastination, I didn't look at it again until last week. Oops. My studs in the shed are 16" centers, not 24". OK; what a hassle; need to go swap it out. Nyet. They acted like I was trying to defraud them out of a truckload of lumber or something. Do you have the receipt? Well, no. Sorry. It's ONE item, UNOPENED in a big plastic bag. OK, do you have the card that it was purchased with? Uh, maybe, let's try this one, no, that one, no, uh, I think maybe I bought it with a cash/gift card; gone. When did you buy it? Well, back in October... Sorry, no returns after 90 days under ANY circumstances. OK, get manager. Same, with more unhelpful BS about policy. OK, where's YOUR manager? -wait- Nope, same-same. "Corporate policy changed last September..." Sure, but what's the purpose of the policy? More profits, better customer service. Right. You're not making or losing anything on this deal; just swap me the right size and take this back. THAT would be GOOD customer service! Oh, no, The System won't let us do THAT. Just finished installing a bathroom faucet set including the drain...turned on the water only to find the cold water handle doesn't work (water just flows).....called Customer Service to inquire if we can just bring in the defective cold water handle to swap with one that works. No, we have to uninstall the ENTIRE faucet set and drain. I understand it is a manufacturing defect but the fact we have to uninstall the entire set is inconvenient. Why not just take a set off the shelf and swap the one bad part? We will get a refund and go buy another faucet set somewhere else. Frustrating considering we spent a lot of money at this store for our bathroom renovation....no sense of customer service at this Lowe's and we will not do business here in the future. read more

Let me start out by saying that this was by far the worst buying, actually shouldn't say buying.. I still don't have my fireplace, experience of my life.I bought an electric fireplace online for in store pickup. It was supposed to be there Tues Dec 4th. Didn't receive call or email that day, wed or thurs- that's okay! Things get delayed and shipping was out of their hands. Anyways I call thurs and the lady on the phone, Michelle, was nice and said "oh look they provided a tracking number for us. Says it will be here tomorrow" Well to my surprise Thursday evening I got a call saying it was ready. Cool! I coordinate with my boyfriend for the truck and we go in and pick up around 6 pm-ish. The lady goes and gets the "fireplace" and it's this tiny box! (I ordered a tall one with a mantelpiece) I said I don't believe this is the correct one. So she looks and says "oh no it's not" she calls her supervisor(maybe). He goes and looks for it in the back for the rest of it. Can't find it. Said it will probably be delivered tomorrow. So now we are on Friday. I get a call saying my order is ready for pickup! Yay! My boyfriend is at work so his brother comes with me. Well this time we got Sueann at the desk and that's where everything really went downhill. She goes and gets my order and wheels out this SAME tiny box. Boyfriends brother said "I don't think that's the correct one" and she replies in a snarky rude manor. "YOU DONT THINK THIS IS THE RIGHT ONE?!" And I calmly said no it isn't and explained what happened the night before. Boyfriends brother said "that's the insert. There is another piece. It says box 2 of 2" I said we were talking with "John maybe a supervisor" and she rudely says "I have 8 Johns in this store so which one was it" well sure as hell isn't your garden center John or your kitchen cabinets John... Jesus. Who would you call if you had an issue. Well she huffs and puffs and checks her computer. Then calls over someone to look for it. He was the slowest and just kind of looking around like doo-da-doo. I saw John walk by. I said hey remember me with fireplace. He said yes and goes to help look. Well 10-15 min later there is no fireplace. They now all just stood and stared at me. I said "Michelle wa-" Sueann cut me off and said "well Michelle isn't here" oh ok well thanks but let me finish. "Michelle said there was a tracking number, can you check to see if it says delivered?" Just stared at me and responds "nope we can't do that" well how did the other lady do it?!? Sueann said she would leave a note for her receiver to find the piece on Monday morning. Just pawning it off on someone else. No apologies for inconvenience or anything. Well Monday rolls around and I call for receiver. Someone else answers and said she was receiving a truck. I left my name, phone number, situation and order number and they said she would call me back that day. Guess what folks, it's Wednesday with no call. Are they hoping I will just go away?? Situations happen, I get that... but good customer service would have de-escalated this situation. I will not be shopping at this Lowe's ever again. It was a $500 fireplace.. I know people drop way more money than that.. but an extra $500 to your bottom line can't hurt. Plus we just bought a house.. probably would have bought quite a bit of stuff. CARPET INSTALLATION NIGHTMARE! Let me first say that the carpet quality and Lowes personnel were great. Our horrible experience was due to the carpet installers that Lowes subcontracts to install the carpet bought at Lowes. I mailed a 4 page letter to Lowes telling them of all the cancellations and lack of communications and EXTREMELY SLOW carpet installation by their installers from Floor Coverings Northwest, licensed as Vanderlay Industries, owned by Jeff Bray. After multiple cancellations and a 1 day job that was stretched out to 2, my spouse and I had to actually help the installer finish up for the last 2 hours of the job in order to GET THEM OUT of our house 1:30am in the MORNING ON A WEEKDAY!!! VERY FRUSTRATING AND TIRING to only get 3 hours of sleep before going to our jobs the next day! read more

This place is consistently helpful and friendly, but yesterday they went over the top. I had accidentally ordered the wrong product, a product that is not returnable (carpeting via the rolls in the back). I brought the rolls in not knowing the policy, and after they explained their carpet policy I decided to take them home with no arguments at all (to possibly convince my wife that carpeting the garage would be somehow beneficial to us, or maybe a wall...). Before I could leave however, the customer service gal had made a phone call to plead my case, and was able to make the return possible, even after I had accepted my fate! Staff always asks how I am doing or if I need any help. I love to go look at the products and come up with new projects. I bought just about everything over the last 20 years there. Over memorial day we purchased a Washer / Dryer set. Lowes Credit screwed up the no interest for 18 months and gave me the run around. One late night call to the store manager and he took care of it right away. By the next morning I had called the credit department and was told "Sorry we made a mistake and your issue has been resolved." I know for a fact that if the manager did not help me out it would have gone no where. Thank you Lowes for making it right and thank you to the credit department for admitting you made a mistake. FUMING over my experience at Lowes today and I want you all to know not to buy from them. I purchased a pressure washer from them 42 days ago. When I was checking out they said "do you want a warranty if there are any issues in the next 3 years just bring it back and we give you a new one." Ok! 42 days later it completely kicks the bucket today. Crazy and a little frustrating because it's full of gas and oil. Load it up and I head in, I called ahead and the employee said "oh how crazy, yep I'll load one up to the front desk to trade." I pull it up and tell the gal o called ahead, "here's my receipt I need to trade for a new one." She says "well if the 30 days have passed we send in for a fix we don't trade." I said "nope that's not what I was told when I purchased." She said "oh you got the extended warranty, yes we will trade but now you have to pay to have a new warranty on this one. That'll be $44 (ish dollars.)" NO! By this time everyone is being super rude to me. A manager comes over and says "yes you have to pay if you want us to warranty this one we're giving you to replace the first." Well I sure as heck know I am not taking a new one knowing it's going to die right over the 30 days. I made them refund me, less my warranty! Now I'm going to Costco! We will never buy from them again and I recommend you're very careful too. They were dishonest to sell the warranty, could not show me in the warranty paperwork where it states I had to keep paying warranties and almost had me in tears as they bullied me.
