Visited with a friend for a coffee. This place a top notch team that is focused on service and making good coffee. Customer after customer came in and was greeted with familiarity and kindness. They remembered so many customers it was lovely to see a sense of community there. Inside is cozy and comfortable. The coffee was well made and delicious.

Dani was the most kind and friendly barista! Came here for the first time looking for an Italian soda, but even though they were missing some ingredients, the drink turned out delicious! Great breakfast sandwich specials and quite cozy space in the morning.

This was a lovely little community spot. There was a very warm and friendly vibe here. The staff seemed to know a lot of patrons by name and it was a dog friendly spot with both inside and outside seating options. The drinks and food were good too. Very cute cafe!

Interesting spot! I've driven by this place a hundred times and never knew it was here. Coffee was good, and they have lots of pastries and baked goods as well as other kinds of food as well. Ambiance was clean and fairly basic. I loved the retro dining chairs, brought me back to my childhood! The barista was very pleasant and he ran everything as smooth as silk. Good experience.

What a special little place so full of character and charm! Coffee was much needed and just the perfect temperature for instant sipping. You can taste the love from the breakfast sandwiches! Thank you thank you! Sending Birthday love to you! Love from Shorty & gang

Went here twice and would return next time I'm in town! Street parking was relatively easy to find but I believe some areas had 2 hour parking limit. Fun to see photos and art throughout the space! Indoor and outdoor seating. Staff was mostly friendly and knowledgeable of the offerings. I got the "blendy" which I thought would have a smooth texture but it's more like crushed ice, milk and coffee. The ice chunks were mostly too big and chunky to fit through the straw until they melted which watered down the drink. The vegan chocolate berry muffin was sooooo good! Loved that it wasn't overly sweet. I didn't noticed if the taste was "vegan." I'm not vegan but it was super delicious and I would definitely get it again. Appreciated that there were wall plugs and WiFi to do computer work! One bathroom and it was clean.

So glad I finally tried Monkey Grind. Decadent espresso, wonderful service and vibe in the cafe. I got an extra-ice Oat Honey latte (my go to order anywhere) as well as a bacon/egg/cheese breakfast sandwich. Coffee was perfect, just enough sweetness and the espresso was obviously high quality. 10/10. The breakfast sandwich was delicious too. :)

Very cute spot! We stopped in for some chai and London fog tea and both were very yummy. Friendly staff and different grab and go items for lunch. Street parking available and decent prices.

This place was adorable! From the people to the location to the service to the drinks to the price- it was an all-around win for me! My sister and I are new to Seattle and just signed a place in Greenlake, so we were looking for a spot that wasn't too far from where we were living. We found this place on a quick search and headed over for a day of productivity. This spot was located right across from a senior center, and though there were a decent amount of young folks walking in, we noticed a handful of what seemed like elderly regulars coming into the café. The barista was super kind and talkative with her customers, and seemed to have people's regular orders! We got an almond milk hot chocolate and an oat milk chai latte, both of which were delicious and great big sizes for the price! Also of note is that this place is dog friendly and even has a jar of dog treats at the entrance for people to give their dogs! We got to pet so many puppers while we were working all day. The ambience is warm and friendly with yellow accents and cute art in the bathroom, and the barista made sure to stop us on the way out to ask our names, hear about our recent move here, and make us feel super comfortable! For the ambiance, the taste, the environment, and the friendly staff, we will absolutely be back!

If you are looking for a good local coffee spot Monkey Grind is the spot to go. Visiting on a trip here and I am pleasantly surprised with how good the drinks and food are. It was walking distance from our place in Greenwood and the service was lovely. I got a a vanilla oat milk latte and it was very tasty with a nice layer of foam, my boyfriend was recommended the Mexican mocha which had cayenne pepper and had a remarkable kick to it that he enjoyed! The egg & bacon Swiss croissant was really yummy and tasted very light. Perfect delight in a bite! Definitely will be here the next time we are visiting in town! :)

You order at the front before being seated which means food arrives shortly after sitting down. With that noted, I wouldn't return to wait that long. First visit, to try a relatively famous spot, sure. Inside is a bit tight, but conversation can be had. My friends got the lumpia-silog and bistek-silog. Lumpia was tasty, but not particularly outstanding. Bistek was dry. The beef was tough to chew, seasoned alright on the outside but likely overcooked if not old. I opted for the oxtail silog which was delicious but pricey. Oxtail Silog - for $29, this plate definitely gets a double take. After waiting in the hour line, I figured I should commit for a tasty meal. Oxtail comes in a side bowl alongside a bit of hearty broth which the rice absorbs well. Meat is tender, falls off the bone, but pulling around oxtail bones isn't the simplest, so definitely have to bite around crevices. All in all, this plate was delicious but think it comes with a huge tourist tax I've had better value for oxtail plates. Ube Pancake Stack - four sizeable pancakes. Some pictures, including my own, don't do these justice. I can definitely get behind the hype. They're drenched in a rich ube sauce and there's plenty to go around. Honestly the ube flavor is present on the pancakes, but it feels relatively faint because the sauce is extremely sweet and flavorful, minimizing the pancake taste and expanding the gap between flavors. That being said, I think I would enjoy the pancakes with less sauce (or preferably, on the side).

They served the coffees with a little shortbread cookie, and these little details really elevated the whole experience. Also, the cappuccino was so foamy, and it hit the spot immediately. The breakfast menu was also fantastic. The TPC Breakfast plate included sausage, potatoes, bacon, bread, and some scrambled eggs. There also was an option to add Beecher's cheese on the eggs, and I'd say it was totally worth it. Most importantly, the Dutch baby was as good as they'd advertised. It comes out on a piping hot skillet which kept the dessert warm till the end of the meal. The service was very quick even though they were entirely booked out for the time we were there for. I appreciated the patience from the servers and their helpful directions in picking the menu items. I will warn you that we had to reserve our spot months in advance. This is probably because the restaurant is great but pretty limited in seating space. However, it was definitely worth the wait, so don't be discouraged.
